Location was great, not too far from the railway station annd close to palace and water castle. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious (scrambled eggs) and the communal kitchen has everything you need to be self-sufficient. No issues with WIFI. The host, Irta, was a superstar and especially when my wife became ill in the night, I messaged her and she was there straightaway with a hot bowl of water and some herb remedies that certainly did the trick. Really lovely, friendly welcoming place to stay. 5⭐️

We very much enjoyed our stay - the location was close to the Museum Sonobudoyo and JL Malioboro, and had a lovely restaurant with a garden nearby (Poenokawan cafe). The fresh fruit upon arrival, bottled water, and fantastic breakfasts distinguish this stay from any other we have had in Indonesia. The hosts were very helpful both to organize laundry service and to find a print shop nearby for unexpected printing needs. The wifi was excellent, the AC was great and the room was large and comfortable. We had asked for a quiet room, however with the nearby mosques, this was really not feasible.

Housekeeping was only every 2-3 days, and as we were recovering from travellers bug, this was not quite enough.

Great location. 10 min walk to main areas. The host was so lovely! Couldn't have been nicer! Great breakfasts every morning. Tasty omelet first morning, then when we found out we were keen for Indonesian food, got some excellent rice, noodle and broth dishes. Felt like a secure and safe accommodation.

A few ants in the room, but nothing major. You can hear other guests very clearly entering their room on the same floor and the call to prayer is very close and loud. This didn't bother us, but might be worth preparing for if you're a light sleeper.

The lady that works there is super sweet! She’s an older lady and speaks great English - she is the kindest and she actually made the stay really great!

My room had glass windows which in the morning let the sun shine right in- so i was up around 5:45am every morning no matter what ! lol , the towels were like cardboard , and there is no breakfast variety. It’s so sweet though the lady basically makes you an omelette and that’s breakfast … but it’s not a buffet , there’s no pool and no TV on the rooms . I also hated how they weren’t flexible ! I needed to leave one day early and they wouldn’t reimburse me for that night - even though i tried to cancel it in advance. I think that’s bad customer service

We stayed in Omah Gerjen for 2 enjoyable nights.... The location was good, it's a 30 minute walk from the train station and a 10 minute walk to Malioboro Street. Gaia was absolutely lovely... The breakfast she made of omelette and scrambled eggs were delicious with a fresh glass of juice 😋 The room was basic and fitted our needs of a shower and a comfy bed! I'd definitely recommend a stay here.....

Large bed, really comfortable, spacious room with a good shower and hot water. The host spoke excellent English and was very helpful. You make a choice of Indonesian breakfasts the day before which are placed on the table 10 minutes before your breakfast time, so get there early! Good Wi-Fi. Coffee, tea, a kettle, water machine and microwave are all available. Easy walking distance to the Kraton Palace and Marliboro Street.

A little street noise and loud singing early mornings over megaphones from the mosque, but slept through most of it!

The host are super nice, welcoming and ready to help. They put us in contact with a local driver to visit Burubudur and Prambanan temple. The room is simple, but the beds are comfortable and you basically have what you need! Also, the room is clean which is always a plus!

I would have appreciated one additional piece of furniture to be able to put smaller objects, but this is really a minor thing that did not disturb our stay at all! I’ve suggested the host to put the house rules in the room because not everybody is familiar with some aspects of it and it is important that we, as tourist, respect them!

- The staff named Mbak Yanti is a very friendly and cheerful person she have been very helpful during my stay - The location is just 500m from Titik Nol Yogyakarta which is still be reached by walking and in front of this accomodation there is a small hang out dessert shop - The room is very comfy and clean,they don't provide any TV but that's fine with me

- The room location is in the third floor and unfortunately the stair is kind of steel stair instalation with not too wide width,so if you visit there with 24inches baggage you have to prepare yourself. The room for guest is only 4 rooms,2 in 2nd floos and 2 in third floor

I highly recommend this homestay. We stayed there for three nights. The rooms were clean with good A/C. It gives such a homely feel with a variety of breakfasts made for us each day at the time we requested by the friendliest owners. If you like small, homely and personal accommodation, this is an excellent place to stay.
