We stayed for 4 nights at the Novotel Suites Yogyakarta Malioboro. The staff were very friendly and helpful all the time. We stayed on the 9th floor, the breakfast was in the 8th floor and the Pool and Bar was on the 10th floor. The breakfast was a buffet with a large selection of very good food. The room was cleaned and comfortable. The pool was large with a infinity pool overlooking part of the city. There is also a bar beside the pool, the staff were very friendly epically the bar manager (sorry I cant remember his name) he talked to us and took some good photos for us on our last night. Some nights they had some music. The location was perfect. 15 mins walk from the main train station and 2 mins walk to JL Malioboro street.

The location into the hotel was a bit unusual as it appears you were entering a car park, but clearly identified.

The location was excellent. Within one minute, you are on the busiest street Jl. Malioboro in Yogyakarta. Also, there a a bunch of museums around, which are all within walking distance. So many food selections to choose from, from the food stalls to restaurants (local or international chains), so many stores to shop from. Just endless selection at the location. The breakfast is really good, which features a lot of local foods, drinks and desserts.

Just some dust in our room. Also the elevator operates a bit weird. Please allow additional time if trying to catch a train, etc.

Nice looking room with enough space for an extra bed. Lots of choice at the breakfast buffet. Nice rooftop area with swimming pool, bar and gym.

We thought the location at Malioboro street would be convenient but it turned out to be a constant traffic jam resulting in long waiting times for a Grab or GoJek to get anywhere. The bathroom had a sliding door with rails only at the top, not at the bottom, so it was very noisy to get into / out of the bathroom when roommates were sleeping. We had noisy neighbors with kids literally tearing the place down. Banging at the walls, screaming in the room and hallway, slamming the door, and it felt like the walls were made of cardboard. Not soundproof whatsoever!

Location - it’s right on Malioboro Road. we took the train from the airport and walked to the hotel from the station. And we had 2 kids with one large suitcase amongst other smaller bag. Very doable. Rooms were nice and we got joining rooms since we had 2 of our kids with us.

The poolside facilities was showing its age. Walls were flaking and needed more love. On site F&B was very limited with the big coffee house only open for breakfast.

Hotel is situated along the vibrant Malioboro Street, next to two shopping malls and a night market, and within walking distance from the train station (taking train from the airport is much more convenient and faster than taking car), yet far enough from the street and railway noise. Royal palace and water castle are 5-10 minutes away by Andong (horse carriage) or Becak (motorised rickshaw). Staff are friendly and helpful, but I guess it applies to the locals. People are always smiling and courteous. Big comfortable room. Nice rooftop swimming pool. Free parking at the basement.

Buffet breakfast has the quantity but quality can be improved. Traffic around the train station and Malioboro Street can be heavy and messy during the day, and Malioboro is closed to motorised vehicles from 6-9pm everyday (not a good thing if you are returning by car although there is still a way to drive to the hotel).

We traveled all over Java and needed a room for one night in Jogja before catching a flight to Bali. We chose a perfect hotel! The location of this property is an absolute value: right in the middle of the city and only steps away from one of the main attractions, Malioboro Street. Staff were friendly and efficient; They allowed us to check in early as we got to Jogja way before check-in time. We love the hotel's rooftop: we had brunch while we waited for our room and an evening drink later at sunset. The food at the rooftop bar was delicious, and the view was pretty amazing. The staff at the rooftop bar was friendly and attentive, always ensuring we had all we needed. The room was clean and functional. The view of the city from our room was nice. As somebody who grew up in Jogja, I felt a lovely nostalgia to see a familiar view from the room. The following day, it was an easy walk too to get to the train station and catch our airport train to YIA.

- The breakfast is diverse and has good quality; - The rooftop bar and the swimming pool are very pleasant; - The bed and pillows are very comfortable; - The room was spacious and elegant; - The shower had good pressure; - The location is central, right on Jl. Malioboro, within walking distance of the Kraton.

- The stay was expensive by any standards, especially for Indonesian standards. But if you are a Western tourist on a short trip to Jogja, it is probably one of the best alternatives, along with Meliã.

- Welcoming service culture - staff members always smiling and willing to help. - The hotel is well situated just off Malioboro St. Local attractions such as the Palace and Sonobudoyo Museum were within walking distance. It's also only about a 10 minute walk from the train station to the hotel. - The breakfast buffet had a good selection of local and western food.

There could have been a bit more attention to detail in terms of room cleaning. For example, a couple of the light switches felt a bit sticky upon check-in. I just cleaned them myself with an alcoholic wipe and they were fine. It was a minor issue that didn't detract from an enjoyable stay.

The location is superb. Close to becak and andong. The breakfast is delicious. The swimming pool area is nice. Also the staffs are smiley and helpful. They can recommend tourists must go sites. Thank you Pak Sigit.

The room is smelly (cigarette smell is so pungent). Sometimes we can smell sewer water too. The soundproof is not enough. We can hear other room's bell clearly.

about the fitness center to small not like my expectations and the second one about the swimming pool close to early 7 p.m and when the swimming time there is a function there that's way I can not do nothing cancel my pool time I don't want to bother that function thank yiu

I like the people very friendly and the hospitality it's good warm n cool make.me very comfortable to stay there longer and I have planning to coming back next time and get better service more than now thank you
