I LOVED this place! Super cosy and homely and Irene is such a kind and friendly host. It is a nice sized hostel where it's easy to meet everyone and plan adventures throughout the day. The location is fantastic. Hidden away in a local alley with really friendly and smiley neighbours. There are plenty of spectacular food options within walking distance and it's very easy to get to the centre by Grab or hired scooters. I only wish I could have stayed longer because it really felt like home for a few days!

We had a fantastic stay at Wood Stone Homestay! Irene was an incredibly welcoming and kind host – she immediately made us feel at home and gave us lots of great tips for exploring the area. We really appreciated the convenience of being able to buy a SIM card directly at the homestay. The location is quiet and tucked away in a small backstreet, yet still within walking distance of several lovely restaurants. It was the perfect base for a relaxed and comfortable stay. Highly recommended!

Stuff very kind and helpfull, perfect location, not noisy at all (no mosque nearby), a lot of space in the king size bed room. you can rent bikes there and they gave us some insider tipps for food and activities.

there is no sink in the kingsize bed room - but wasn't really a issue for us because there is a sink right outside the room. the shower was a bit leaking into the room but only very close to the shower so again, really no problem for us

The common areas are more than perfect 👌. The room was clean and tidy, the toilet was my favorite one. Spacious, clean and stylish 🌟💪🌞 There is always drinkable water and a kitchen that can be use 🙏🙏. Free tea and coffee. If you want to have some peaceful and chill time and rest in yogyakarta. This place will give you that . The location is also really good , in a local quiet nice neighborhood. Irene was really friendly ,kind and helpful ✌️. Thanks

Had a great stay at Wood Stone! I booked 2 nights and ended up extending for 9. Place is chill but also you get to meet other travelers. It is run by lovely and helpful people, it was easy to get a sim card and get great tips for tours or what to do in the area. I'd gladly stay here again next time I'm in Jogja

Staying at Wood Stone was an amazing experience! The rooms were clean, cozy, and comfortable, but what made the biggest difference was the atmosphere and the people. The staff was incredibly kind and helped with everything we needed - from tips about the city to just having meaningful conversations. It felt like home away from home.

This place was AMAZING!!! The owner is a wonderful person and we sat and had a chat with her for well over an hour and she told us about stuff to see in the city and she is a really pleasant person to talk to and has super good English. I definitely recommend staying here. She runs it on her own and does an unbelievable job. The rooms are clean and nice and the bed is comfy!!!

Super friendly and welcoming staff! Sara was there for me to advise me where to go for some good local food, what to see,... as it was low season, there were no other guests, but I could hang out together with the staff members in the kitchen area in the evening. They let me try some tropical fruit I did not know. The room is big and you have everything you need, there is even well working airco. Really recommend it, thank you to make my stay so enjoyable! 😘

Great value for money, not too far from the old centre, nearby are some good restaurants and even cafes. Overall this seemed like a typical backpackers hostel for young white tourists but luckily, not too loud and messy while we stayed. The price is low, don't expect too much.

There's only one toilet/shower, and one more at the back for dorms, requires planning and luck.

I either give good or bad reviews . Another word I hardly write a comment The most friendly, nice, and beautiful girls will great you with a huge smile ever when you arrive, will help you true your stay , just ask them. LOVE YOU, GUYS ❤️❤️❤️💋💋💋
