Excellent location, fantastic sea view and friendly & helpful staff! We stayed here in May for 2 nights through two different reservations as consecutive nights were not available in either reservation sites then. And we like our stay at Hotel Catalunya very much. The staff (a young lady-thank you) tried to bridge the two so we didn't have to move rooms the next day. Although we ended up having to change rooms, we appreciated her effort and the move was smooth. Both rooms were fantastic with great sea views, especially the 1st night in Jr. suite with a balcony. The rooms were spacious with everything we needed. Although the furniture and deco are not luxury, they are clean, decent and simple for its category. When the room temperature was too cold, we found out that the front desk could easily adjust it to our liking. The hotel is next to a park, walking distance to the old town, marina and good restaurants. The staff's recommendation of nearby seafood restaurants was excellent! Thanks to you-we had one of the best (Catalan-style lobster & freshest muscles) seafood dinners.

The hotel parking was a bit far, three or four blocks away, but still manageable and a guarantee for a peace of mind. It was a bit challenging to park/stop for unloading at arrival, especially with one-way streets. Breakfast was mediocre, but the sea view from the restaurant was to die for.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Excellent location within easy walking distance of the quaint old town with many restaurants and boutiques. Supermarket around the corner. We had a spacious room with balcony, bed was comfy, shower very good. ZDF and 3SAT tv stations. The view from the breakfast room is amazing, also in the evening. We enjoyed our 7 night stay and would definitely recommend.

Sadly, the restaurant is only open for groups of hotel guests of 10 or more and the hotel’s parking garage is a 10 minute walk.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating, rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was such a beautiful touch being on the last floor with an amazing view of the town and the port, food was delicious! The town of Alghero is so beautiful and this hotel is at a great location. So close to the old port and all the restaurants and stores. I would highly recommend it!

Hotel Parking is a few blocks down the street. Not too far but not attached to the hotel. The doors also would get stuck and not open all the way, so you definitely need to get out of the car and push the door open all the way. But still very appreciative that they do have this as an option, as it is not easy to find available street parking spots.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and there was incredible attention to detail. Breakfast was not just a meal, but an experience. The view from the sky bar was magnificent

There was nothing to dislike. The only comment I would make to fellow travellers is that Sardinia does not use the standard European found socket. All thought there was one such socket in the room, you will need to bring the correct converter to use the others.

Very comfortable hotel with efficient and friendly staff. Clean and well managed. Location is close to old town and within walking distance to swimming beaches that rent chairs and umbrellas. Breakfast was good and offered a wide variety.

A pool will make it a 10

We chose Hotel Catalunya to celebrate the 10th wedding anniversary and couldn't make a better choice! Location is exquisite, and the breakfast terrace with a port view is amazing! The staff was very nice, especially Matilda from reception!

The parking garage is a good 7-10mins walk, if you travel solo as me you basically have to leave the car with the hazard light on and in park, unload the luggages, run inside to leave the luggage’s in the lobby and run back to the car before getting towed or get a ticket, drive 3mins to the parking garage, very tide entrance, I had a jeep renegade and I had 3inches each side of the mirror before touching the side walls… the light in the garage does turn off after few mins so if you don’t have the phone or a flash light handy you get stuck in darkness.

Views from the bedroom (sea view) were perfect. Bedroom very comfortable, and a great selection of food at the buffet breakfast. Every member of staff was extremely polite and helpful. Location was great with a less than 5 minute walk to the old town. Will definitely stay here again next time I visit Alghero.

The breakfast was very good with lots of options. Eating breakfast every morning looking out over Old Town and the water was amazing . Breakfast is served on the top floor sky box with breathtaking views. The hotel’s location couldn’t be better. One block from the historic old town, harbor , beach and bus stop.

It is extremely well located, modern, very clean. Large room with balcony. Rooftop bar for sunset is great.

Gym opening times. Needs to be opened much earlier. Also prior to travel somehow there was a scam email from the hotel to us via booking.com Fortunately we did not fall for it but I would have liked to see some humility about this when we arrived.
