Hotel perfectly situated for City break. Just in the middle of the Old Town Alghero. You Just go outside and you are in the middle of the evening live or shopping. But the otel itself is quiet. Few minutes away from the city beaches. Very helpful and supporting staff. They are willing to help guests even in the range over the duties. Sometimes you can watch some concerts for free from the balcony. Nice attraction.

Single room was quite ascetic and didin' t have neither the pot not coffee express. In double room both equipment elements were present. Super tiny shower booth.

Nice breakfast, awesome view and location for the breakfast. The staff is amazing, they are really kind and also gave us a small tour to the closed parts of the church. They offered us to pack food for the breakfast as we needed to leave very early in the morning. The location is literally perfect. It was also in a quite street. Nice touch that there is a coffee machine/tea in the room.

The room is a bit small, the shower could be a bit cleaner and the walls are a bit thin.

Very nice breakfast in the cloister with fresh fruits, breads, and coffee. The hotel is In the center of old town. Very friendly staff.

The WiFi in the room is really terrible. I expected to enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience living in a 15th-century monastery, but except from breakfast in the cloister on the first floor, it's difficult to feel like you're living in a monastery. The hotel does not provide access to the monastery's ground level or the top of the tower.

Very beautiful atmosphere and brilliant localisation. In the centre of old town surrounded by beautiful churches and picturesque streets. Staff extremely helpful and nice, they prepared our room earlier. Lovely and clean room. Breakfast was served in beautiful Patio with lovely coffee. We liked also afternoon jaz concert in Patio! Everything perfect

It’s a vibe, in the best way! I loved the room with pieces of the monastery wall showing. The inner yard is so pretty, too. Everything was as described, there was aircon, I found the bed comfy, I liked that there was a kettle in the room, in addition to the coffee maker. The staff is oh so kind! Super responsive, too, and offered very early check-in. Additionally, the location is amazing. Everything central is walking distance.

Great choice for anyone seeking cultural experience and basic, but still good-value for money, accommodation. Although central location, still quiet. Rooms are quite basic (e.g. no TV), but functional and clean. What I liked the most, it provides the authentic experience of the former monastery. Good breakfast for the hotel of that level. Kind receptionist.

The single room has a small bed (if you are a tall person, it is definitely small/short :)). It would be nice to replace single-use plastic cups with glass/paper (eco-friendly) cups at the breakfast.

The location was central and the staff was super friendly and helpful. In particular, Lello made our stay exceptional with his tips and humour. The breakfast was varied and fresh and the staff serving it was also top. The hotel was quiet and cool which is great in the hot weather. I'd definitely go back to this hotel.

Just the bed was too hard for me.

The hotel is very suitable for women traveling alone.Location is very convenient and central to most places of interest, and even though being in the hearth of the old town,it is a safe and peaceful place to return to at the end of your day.Cleanliness is excellent, staff very polite and of service. Being a cultural monument itself, the hotel offered me a quite unique experience.

Everything was more than expected.

The location in the old town, just minutes from bars restaurants and the beach. The staff were so kind, friendly and helpful. The hotel had a charm of its own being a former convent. Only essential changes had been made, so the hotel kept the character of the convent.

It has a spartan quality that maybe some people may not like, but we felt it was in keeping with the character of the building.

From the staff to the site where hotel San Francesco is located at, everything is set to provide guests with an incredible experience. I have been staying at Hotel San Francesco since 2018 during my first trip to Alghero as an adult. One me ton goes to the incredibly welcome and helpful staff that goes above and beyond in order to offer a truly warm and familiar atmosphere to the visitors.
