The staff are so friendly and professional, especially at Reception. Breakfast was self service with ample choices and a fantastic rooftop view

The Spa is extra and over priced ! I though I would be able to use it as part of my stay, but No! I didn't use it so I can't comment on it.

The location is great and we were upgraded to the newer rooms on the 5th floor which were excellent. Close to the Old town, but in a quieter side street this is an excellent location. Not an early riser when on holiday I only had the breakfast once and it was tasty with plenty of options and very good value. Views from the Terace Bar and spectacular and it is a lovely place to spend an hour or two. Really good value bites and complimentary plates served in the bar.

Having to pay for the pool downstairs was a bit of an off putting thing. Hopefully when the new terrace with pool is opened it will be included in the room price.

The location was great, the staff were excellent. The location of the breakfast room, it has a beautiful view. We had a small car and for a fee were able to use the small hotel garage. Bonus mention, room recently renovated and had a BEAUTIFUL shower and bathroom. The room itself was very nice and it had a large balcony! I would recommend this Hotel!

Two concerns, This was an upgrade for us, as far as our Hotel bookings. We purchased Seaview with a balcony. What we didn't know was our room was next to the bar and on one night it was quite loud. Thankfully the staff notified them and it was turned down immediately. The other concern was there was not a coffee maker in the room. a surprise as other places we stayed there was one available, Yes ,we were close to breakfast room and that may have been the reason for not providing it. It was a miss in our opinion!

Everything! Location was very near the old town, no more than a few minutes on foot. Staff were very welcoming. Our room was ready 3 hours ahead of check in time. Bedroom was a reasonable size, comfortable bed. Breakfast and upstairs terrace were really fantastic, with an amazing view of the old town and sea. A very good choice of delicious sweet and savoury items, including pancakes! Pretty good value for money considering the location, free parking right outside the hotel and the great breakfast.

The shower was warm but could have been hotter. View of construction works in progress from our bedroom window, but not a problem, no noise disturbance.

The Hotel La Margherita is a perfect base for exploring Alghero: the old town and the port are just minutes away. The hotel was scrupulously clean, the breakfast was good, and the staff very friendly and helpful.

This hotel is beautifully situated on a very good shopping street right beside the Old town and therefore close to an endless amount of restaurants. We had a lovely clean room with a balcony, fridge and air-conditioning that was serviced every day. All of the staff that we spoke to very really friendly and helpful and I would like to thank all those on reception who supplied me with a cup of hot water each night.

I would have liked a kettle in my room. Also their breakfast service could definitely be improved. You had to queue for hot drinks, orange juice and milk for your cereal. I felt that the orange juice and cold milk could have been left on the table outside the counter, or else have two staff serving. The queue was often very long, through no fault of the girl serving. which meant that often my husband or myself (depending on who joined the queue) was nearly finished his breakfast by the time one of us had received the drinks

Location was amazing and Alghero was definitely one of our Sardinia highlights. The facilities are slightly outdated, but almost with retro charme, and clean and functional. The staff was very friendly and forthcoming, incredibly nice to interact with. Room had a small, seaside facing balcony which was nice and breakfast was a nice, standard, cold buffet.

Pool access is at extra cost after 3pm and requires you to buy robe, slippers etc. Hotel parking is also charged 10eur a day - but street parking was easily found and free around the corner. July/Aug 22 they were re-doing the facade so the rooftop terrace was closed and believe the rooms on the side of the building had scaffolding blocking all balconies.

Great location in old town. The staff were incredibly helpful with our inquiries. The spa pool was free to use up until a certain time and then it could be hired for private use with a fee of approx €30. Room was bigger than we expected and included a balcony so we think we might have received an unexpected upgrade. Lots of towels and a great shower.

Rooftop bar is out of order due to construction but will be open again sometime in September 2023. It would have been nice to use. The bed was quite firm for my preference. Typical low power hairdryer attached to the wall in the bathroom but I always bring my own.

I travelled with my sister and we spent three days in Alghero. The hotel is perfect ! It is ideally located. Near the most important points of interest of the city and close to public transport. The room the bathroom are clean and the service is very good. Always polite and ready to help ! Don’t doubt it and go to La Margherite !

Location was great and the room was comfortable. The breakfast was great value and we enjoyed having a drink on the roof terrace. All staff were very helpful.

There was no coffee or tea making facilities in the room, although there was a fridge. We were attracted by the pool, but disappointed to discover that you could only use it by paying €40 to rent it exclusively.
