We stayed at this lovely little hotel for 10 nights. We chose Serpa because it gives excellent access to Rome, only an hour away by train from the nearby station Marechiaro. British visitors will be astonished at the low fares and efficient service that Trenitalia offers. We recommend using Trainline to book tickets. Travel into Anzio town and nearby Nettuno is also easy on the local buses, and there’s plenty to see and do. We thoroughly recommend the two beachhead museums and the Anglo-US cemeteries are well worth a visit. It pays to download the free Cotral app to get real-time bus schedules. Practicalities aside, we were very pleased with the service Serpa provides. The hotel is spotlessly clean, and the sea view from the balcony rooms is commanding. The aircon is free and very efficient; there are abundant charging points; the shower is excellent; plenty of storage space, and the bed was comfortable with linen changed every day. Our only criticism is that the Wi-Fi signal is patchy and sometimes erratic, especially if you are outside. Breakfast is served in a dedicated area, and though not sumptuous, the fare on offer is varied and tasty with excellent fresh coffee on request. The reception staff are also extremely helpful (our thanks to Carlotta, Ryan, Paul and Bernadette for their superb service.) Serpa does not have a pool or a bar, although you can order drinks at Reception and add the bill to your room tab. There’s a small supermarket up the hill about 10 minutes away, and a variety of eateries within easy walking distance. So if you are planning to lap up the delights of Rome, or maybe explore the history of the 1944 Anzio landings, Serpa Hotel will not disappoint.

Lovely hotel with wonderful view from our room. Staff was exceptionally friendly with a warm greeting every time we came in. Very clean room and bathroom. Bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast offerings were fresh and very good, including eggs cooked as you like. Not too many dining choices in the area.

The hotel was wonderful. I can't say the same about the associated restaurant across the street, unfortunately. A seafood restaurant that only had shrimp to offer for dinner. Even though it is off season, don't offer in your menu what you don't have in the kitchen.

The hotel was splendid! The room was fine, the sea view spectacular ( a breathtaking sunset), and the breakfast was pleasing, especially the freshly prepared eggs. We walked the beach just across the street.

The hotel is on the edge of the town of Anzio, however, if one has a car there are restaurants nearby along the road in front of the property. As it was October, the area was quiet.

Modern, comfortable hotel across the (busy) road from a beach. Good breakfast. Some rooms have a sea view. Easy free car parking. Friendly helpful staff. Restaurants within easy walking distance. It was a good choice for a last night in Italy before the one hour drive to drop off our rental car at Rome airport.

Liked the sea view room with small balcony, bathroom was well appointed too. Appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, hotel was spotless.

Selection at breakfast was ok, however, they were keen to clear up at 10am. If you were still eating you felt you had to leave. Although across the road from the sea, the hotel is a little isolated, too far from the town. Also no sun-beds to relax on in the sun.

Wonderful hotel, everything is as described. The rooms are excellent, clean, tidy, equipped. Good breakfast, varied offer, with coffee of course. Staff very friendly (special regards to Karlota). Parking. A wonderful view of the sea, the beach immediately after crossing the street. Hotel guests have a discount on the private beach. Close to the bus and train station. There are amall shops and many restaurants nearby. The center can be reached by easy walking (app 45 min) or by local buses. All recommendations!

Everything was ok.

Check-in check-out were very fast. Incredibly nice staff during night shift / breakfast, he made everything for me and my wife to have a nice stay, he borrowed us an ironing board and made us coffee when we had to leave at 5:45am well before breakfast time! Location is perfect, wonderful sea view from the balcony. Elevator working well. Breakfast was very rich for being an Italian breakfast (no hot plates, but plenty of cookies / cereals / yogurts / cakes / croissants and fruit, water natural and sparkling and very tasty juice fruits) and we sure appreciated having a second coffee while having breakfast. We loved having the safe inside the room for leaving our passports during our stay. Heating seemed to work well, we didn't need A/C during our stay, so I can't tell if and how it works during the summer months. Beds very comfortable with extra blankets / pillows. Enough closet / storage area, mini fridge.

Wi-fi unfortunately didn't work in the room, only downstairs in the common areas, that's the only reason I'm not giving it a 10/10. I noticed few ants (like 4-5, not 100!) on the floor in the bathroom.. not too much of a big deal, but sure they could use some product to get rid of the ants. However it looked very clean, there wasn't a corner of the unit that looked dirty! Parking stalls aren't marked but there seemed to be enough parking space for all the guests.

Amazing place, just near the sea, beautiful building. Room is neat and cozy, clean and full of facilities. It was the best hotel in my life, nice sea and good snack bar nearby. Also an amazing pizzeria in 5 minutes walk. Special appreciation to Carlotta, the sweetest and helpful administrator.

Everything was amazing.

Breakfast was nice service was friendly and accommodating. Balcony rooms over looking the sea were wonderful. Spacious rooms, reasonable bathroom size. Without a car it was a bit difficult getting there. Came by train from Rome. Local train station was a 15 minute walk. Beach across the road was great for walking.

Very little advice or Information on how to use local bus service.

Our stay was so lovely! The staff was very helpful and friendly even though we only speak a little italian. They always tried their best to suit our needs. Hotel premises are very clean. Room is small but very comfortable with nice bed and AC. Breakfast is fresh and you can ask for eggs and sausages. The distance from the sandy beach is just 3 minutes.
