The hotel was very good and has everything needed to have a fantastic stay which we obviously had over the Christmas period. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious enough for two even though we had their normal economy double room. The food from breakfast which had a big selection from hot to cold was great and dinner was fantastic along with the service by the restaurant staff. Always polite, friendly and helpful but not intrusive. The facilities were spot on with a lovely garden area. Undercover spacious parking lot which was a nice surprise. The free use of the indoor pool was great and if needed also Spa facilities with reasonable prices but we did not use these so cannot comment. We booked the Christmas Eve set dinner and the Christmas Day set lunch which both were fantastic and we were so pleased we booked these, it made our Christmas that little bit more special, so a big thank you to all the restaurant staff, the chefs and kitchen staff, we appreciated all your efforts. The bar area was very comfortable with lots of room to sit and reflect on the day's activities. The bar service by "the best barman in the world" 😊 who was always very friendly and made you feel like you had known him forever! Although this goes for all the staff from the reception to the restaurant staff and the cleaners, I couldn't speak highly enough of them all. The free shuttle service into Assisi (5 minutes) 4 times a day was excellent and saved a 20 minute walk which is a bit hilly, so was very much appreciated for us. The price was also very reasonable for such a lively Hotel. Many many thanks to everyone at the BV Grand Hotel Assisi for making our Christmas stay so comfortable and memorable, we will definitely return in the new year and will recommend the hotel to all our friends.

If I was going to be really picky, although it really wasn't a problem, then I would suggest that they get better food tray warmers for the hot breakfast selection!

The best hotel I’ve ever stayed in- and I’ve stayed in many 5 star hotels. Five star quality at 4 star prices, all that’s missing is having your bags carried to the room- but who needs that :-) The staff accommodated my special needs with grace and kindness. Thank you!

Reservations for dinner had to be made through the front desk- better to make them directly but there’s probably a good reason for that.

We liked the hotel's ability to accommodate groups, as our daughter's choir stayed there and had rehearsals in the conference room. The dining area was large and the food was very good. The staff helped us with Wifi issues. The massage was therapeutic.

The location has a beautiful view in certain areas, but it is not as close to the stores and churches and public transportation as some other hotels. The view from our room was mainly the roof, but it was a short walk to the lobby area to get a view of the valley below.

Absolutely fantastic! All the staff were incredible, particularly Massimiliano in the restaurant/breakfast buffet. Located up in the hills outside Assisi with spectacular views to watch the sunset. The hotel offers a free shuttle to/from Assisi at set times, there is also a regular local bus that stops directly outside the hotel. Restaurant dinner is more expensive than inside Assisi, but delicious food. Breakfast buffet offered includes scrambled egg, bacon, sausages, breads and spreads, 4 types of cereals, fresh fruit and fruit in syrup, yoghurt, cheese and salamis, and many types of fresh cakes, muffins, croissants etc!! And of course coffee, tea, juice and water. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept, spacious lobby, an spa on site, plus a free pool.

The fact we could park our car , being on the outskirts of the centre but at the same time near enough to walk (about 15 minute) or take the local bus which stopped outside the hotel and also the offer of a free shuttle bus ( we used the town bus but didn’t get to try the shuttle). Also we appreciated the swimming pool (indoor) after lots of walking it was nice to relax in the pool. Also a good breakfast and we had one evening meal which was very tasty but not again as the menu always seemed the same.

As said above the only thing I can think of was the fact that the menu for evening meal never seemed to change - which was a shame as the meal was very good.

Beautiful entrance and bar area with frescoes of st Francisco. Gorgeous landscaping. Wonderful breakfast. Bartender very pleasant and engaged in discussion of frescoes. Reception more than helpful with local transportation/ shuttle. Beautiful spa and infinity indoor pool with warm water

It’s located above and outside Assisi. Could offer shuttle from train station even if a cost.

The staff are very nice with the clients and do everything to service them all time 😄

The food was excellent

The hotel is located in a very beautiful place, with a beautiful garden and a beautiful view. The employees are very kind. Breakfast has a good variety of food and drinks and everything was delicious. The dinner at the hotel is also very tasty and having dinner outside overlooking the garden is a good feeling. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel that takes you to the city center and the hotel has a car that takes you to the city center as well (there may be some pre-established schedules). I went to the pool area (but I didn't use it, the pool closes at 7pm). However, I remember that to use the pool, you needed a cap and flip-flops (you can rent them at the hotel, I don't remember the price). I paid the part for the SPA and massage. The SPA staff was very kind, and the place was very nice for a relaxing afternoon

The pool could be open later, especially now in the summer. The car that the hotel provides to take guests to the center could take them to the train station and have more times available. The bathroom in the room had a bathtub, but it was bad to take a shower because it ended up getting the bathroom a lot wet.

It is a little outside Assisi which you have to reach by car or by shuttle service (not very efficient as schedules) but the hotel is quite nice, and they serve an excellent continental breakfast. A negative note for the fruit juices (Orange, ACE, and Pineapple) which are not at all up to standard. Friendly and always attentive wait staff. Selection of delicious cakes! The rooms are very spacious and the bathroom cozy (ours with bathtub) the air conditioning was a bit noisy and the rooms are not soundproofed well.

The unpleasant thing was when a hotel employee chased us in the car (in a very dangerous way) flashing his lights and when we stopped to find out what he wanted he threatened us and almost attacked us, we reported this to the management at the hotel, but they did absolutely nothing. For this reason, the staff got a very bad rating.
