The location- it’s remote - at the end of a road where you hope there are cars coming from the other direction. But the location is fantastic- great views, sound of birds, good restaurant, nice rooms - not super luxurious but spacious, good bed and great view from private terrace. Great facilities (walk to the 2nd pool about 1km from main house), nice trails on own terrain. What stood out was the staff - front desk, restaurant, kitchen- all super friendly.

Care needed on room location with stone steps to 1st floor. An outside seating area aside from restaurant would be nice between meals. More variety needed on menu for stays over a few days , great food but can become menu weary especially when your order muddled.

The hotel is build in a medieval construction. The grounds and the setting is beautiful! On top of a mountain with fantastic views, quiet well appointed rooms, large bathrooms, air conditioning works very well. The restaurant was very good and the staff’s courtesy was appreciated.

The only negative is to get there. It is a one lane, small curvy road, kind of dangerous about 30’ from Assisi. We chose this hotel to be near Assisi but to get to Assisi was an ordeal so we decided to spend the day we left in Assisi to save us a drive.

Absolutely gorgeous setting. Great food both breakfast and dinner. A gracious staff.

Getting there! The road leading to the property made for a white knuckled drive through switchback turns on narrow roads without guardrails. The final stretch was on dirt roads poorly maintained. We were honestly asking ourselves what had we gotten into the first time we drove up the mountain thinking it had been a huge mistake but once we were there, it was worth the effort.

Very quiet. Gorgeous scenery. Lovely pools. Food excellent. Staff lovely

No reading lamps in bedroom. Only “atmospheric “ lighting. Couldn't read. Terrible lamps by bed. Plus only one wall light for entire room. I like to read at night as i travel alone. Also, dont use booking .com map directions. Use google maps..

Staff were incredibly enthusiastic, friendly and willing to help. We booked a fantastic cookery course and the receptionist acted as the interpreter for the chef, which really helped and was great fun. The organisation for the course was brilliant and cannot be faulted. The restaurant and service was first class and the food was delicious. The location and views were stunning.

The access road is extremely rough and serious caution needs to be taken when in a hire car.

We loved the feeling of being in a beautiful remote countryside scene in a very holy place! One had the sense that all around there was a great natural peace full of wonderful surprises of wildlife, plants and herbs: quite simply stunning! The staff, especially Simeon, Julie and Eleanora as well as our lovely lady in the restaurant went over and above : coming out to find us as we got lost in a location unknown to us at midnight! I don’t know how to thank them enough, especially Simeon and Julie : we intend to return to thank you personally 🙏💖

Lovely accomodation in the country away from hustle & bustle of towns. Great staff & the dining was an incredible experience with beautifully cooked local produce. Wish we could have stayed more than one night.

Nothing, the long drive in is necessary to experience the calm of country life.

Great location peace and nature

No air-conditioning in rooms. Drainage smell in Bathroom. Watering of plants at 3am. Noisy industrial type fan in room.

This place is an absolute dream! Best part of our stay in Italy. The views are stunning, the bed is comfortable, and the food is outstanding . Definitely worth the walk up to the second pool. It's magical
