We stayed in a family room which was actually a mini apartment with entrance, bathroom and two bedrooms (each with tv). The bed was comfortably firm. Dogs are welcome in breakfast room, which could be a plus for some and a minus for others. Private parking but not behind barriers. Very good breakfast with different little pastries, bacon and eggs, yoghurt, fruit and more. Really delicious cappuccino. It was very quiet in and around the hotel. Everyone was super kind and helpful. This is the place where Ayrton Senna used to stay at for the GP in Imola, and thus where he spent his last night on earth. There's a nice memorial in the lobby and you can stay in his room.

I didn't like the request for a 10 here on Booking. I would have given a 9, but one point goes for that.

Suited our purpose perfectly. We just needed a place to stay for one night within an hour of Bologna. We just needed a bed for the night, dinner, and breakfast. This hotel was a very pleasant surprise. We would definitely stay here again. The staff were lovely, the food was excellent, room was very clean and had everything we needed. Easy access to the Autostrada and into Bologna airport the next day. We didn't have much time there but it was a very picturesque area. Definitely recommend.

Nothing to dislike

We made a one night stop here, the hotel was really easy to find also with local sign-posts from via Emilia. The hotel is situated just over a km from the old town, but this is just over 10 min on foot and very pleasant. The hotel room was very well furnished, very comfortable bed, excellent toilet and shower, plus bathrobe and slippers and mini-bar. The breakfast was excellent, big choice of all sorts, eggs, hams, cheese, cereals, yogurts, sweet cakes, juices - really excellent. The price we paid was not expensive and this is a 4 start hotel. Ayrton Senna used to stay at this hotel and there is an interesting collection of memorabilia in reception.

Everything was very very clean. We got toothbrush, toothpaste besides the usual slippers. The mattress was so soft. Best sleep i had on my holiday. The hotel is in a quiet area. The parking was for free. The food was ok and they had quite a variety of food but the restaurant is a little bit outdated compared to how nice the hotel looks. Also the 2 people working in the restaurant were not very friendly compared to all the other staff of the hotel. We also received 2 free bottles of water at checkout for the road. Overall 10/10, would definitely stay here again if given the choice.

The 'superior rooms' are quite delightful, beautiful furnishings and extremely comfortable beds.

Hotel Castello offer two grades of room, comfort and the more expensive superior. I had booked and paid for superior. On arrival the bubbly young lady at reception proudly announced she had upgraded our room. I thought, this could be interesting, lets see. On entering our room it was in fact a superior which I had booked anyway. Please don't tell guests they have been upgraded when you have done nothing of the sort! When questioned she said it was a mistake as she thought we had booked a comfort room instead. Oh dear, one story to cover up another one!

Private parking space. The room we had was definitely large enough for the three of us and our dog and was clean. We felt very welcome. Diner in the restaurant (not included) was very tasty for all of us?

The breakfast buffet choice is extensive, but has a few flaws that keep it from being more than mediocre: the daily buffet was on the two mornings of our stay exactly the same, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage are cold (not lukewarm) instead of warm, bread assortment is limited, no mixed fruit. One thing worth mentioning: you should never ask guests to rate your hotel online with a "10" (quote upon checking out: "If you are satisfied with your experience, you would do us a great favor by rating us online with a good review. A 10 or so is perfectly fine.") Minus 1 (8 instead of a 9) overall because of this.

Our stay at this hotel was excellent. The rooms were very clean, well-furnished, and very comfortable. Breakfast was superb, with a wide variety of tasty options to choose from. The location is great, with easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. Parking was ample and convenient, adding to the overall ease of our stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel very welcome. We highly recommend this hotel for its great service, comfortable rooms, and prime location, and we look forward to returning in the future.

Have stayed here several times - will keep coming back. The staff are particularly friendly and helpful, small details like offering a glass of cold water after a hot drive or upgrading our room because we keep coming back really make a difference. The breakfast is very good and and rooms are well appointed. We stay in various small hotels on trips in Italy which we make several times a year. This is our favourite and we will keep coming back. The town is charming and the hotel is near a lovely park for an evening stroll.

The most awesome information about this lovely hotel was knowing that Ayrton Senna used to stay there during the F1 Grand Prix in Imola and spent his last night alive there. There is the most amazing glass cabinet set up in the foyer as a tribute to him. Breakfast was a delight with a huge variety of delicious treats on offer. The bed was one of the most comfortable and luxious we have slept on.

The hotel is in a quiet area, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is delicious and varied. The hotel is connected to an attraction for those who follow Formula 1. If you want, they will explain the story and show you the room where Formula 1 racer Ayrton Senna lived between races. There is also a memorial corner for him in the lobby. In short, I recommend this hotel.
