Relaxed and friendly atmosphere, decor unpretentious, but a spacious and practical hotel. Francesco at desk extremely helpful with parking and with advice when asked - he speaks good English. Location perfect for this lively town and tourist attractions in Northwest Sicily. We had a room on the second floor, overlooking a nice courtyard. Everything worked well. Beautiful views right outside the hotel. Very nice breakfast.

The town beach by the hotel did not seem very clean - although always full of people. The nearest good beach was a few kilometres away- but it was spectacular.

We had an excellent two night stay as an opening to our trip to Sicily. It was booked as conveniently located to the airport (a 30 min drive), however the town is small, quaint and worth a stay in its own right. The room had a lovely view out over the square across the bay, good breakfast, easy parking and right in the middle of the town - so easy to walk around. The room was easily spacious enough to fit our travel cot, the beach was a short walk away and the local restaurants excellent. Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful stay.

The location was lovely with water views and looking out onto an open piazza. It was walking distance into main areas of the town. The hotel was able to provide car parking for 10 Euro per day. It was nice to not have to think about where to leave the car. The car park was secure and walking distance to the hotel. The staff were very professional and always available to answer questions and provide information. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast had a variety of sweet and savoury options. There was a shuttle to the nearby sandy beach as the one near the hotel is a pebble beach - we didn't use this service, but we would have if we had extra time. A pretty town and base to explore this area of Sicily. I would stay here again.

Amazing location, the staff are all so very kind. What an amazing base to visit Sicily. Breakfast is also amazing with home made pastries available. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay amazing , a feeling of being made welcome from day 1. Thank you all very much staff at Hotel Al Madarig.

Breakfast was varied and wonderful. espresso machine excellent. the option to eat outdoors was appreciated.

The location was great - easy to access with a car and we had no problem with finding parking , however we were just before busy season. The breakfast was amazing according to Italian standards I’d say it went above and beyond. Close proximity to the beach and shops and restaurants.. lovely place to stay.

Rooms a bit dated but all you need. Still very clean and well kept.

Breakfast was pleasant with a good variety. A little warm in temperature.

The reception staff did not seem happy to assist, we definitely had to ask for assistance. Just a different experience from other hotels who were eager to assist. The bathrooms are a little dangerous with the steps. Two of our family members fell, thankfully were not injured.

We loved our stay at the hotel. When we first arrived our room it was not as close to the water as I had requested but that was no problem for them. They immediately moved us to a room we liked much better. All of the front desk clerks were outstanding. One which had worked there for 20 years helped us with everything and was always so nice and personable. The breakfast was outstanding and even the girls in the dining area were so nice. We loved it there and would definitely recommend to anyone. Thank you again for making our stay so enjoyable.

Hotel is in a great location in beautiful Castellammare del Golfo, and our room had a sea view and overlooked the plaza which was very nice. Walking distance to the Old Town and marina, with many restaurants, bars and stores nearby. We were able to park for free in front of the hotel since we stayed during the off-season. I'd consider coming back in the summer and staying here again.

Breakfast could be improved.

Wonderful location, very nice and clean rooms, welcome staff and transfer- golf car that can take the guests to the big beach about 10 min away. Hotel does have the access to the beach (hotel is a bit on a hill, beach is downstairs, but it is easy to reach. Hotel provides the discounts for the restaurants and a welcome drink or a beach towels as a welcome compliment.

Unfortunatley, breakfast was quite poor, but next to the hotel there are a lot of opportunities to have it. I wouldnt recomend to include your breakfast in the price, since there was literally just a few options: boiled eggs, few frozen croissants, yogurt and a automatic coffee machine.
