We had to skip breakfast unfortunately to get to the airport which feels a thousand miles away from this small beachside hotel in a lovely old fishing town. Erica and all the staff are extremely helpful, rooms aren't huge but are very well appointed, brightly decorated and with a terrific shower, toiletries - all you can want. Our tank of a hire car we parked just a few yards from the door in the hotel's private car park. The hotel is practically on the town beach with a beach-side bar and lovely views across to the town. We stayed at the beginning of the season and not all the restaurants and bars were open. There aren't that many of them - this isn't a noisy resort - but we managed to get into Ristorante Tonnara on the Saturday night. What an experience. Fantastic food, wonderful wines and packed with a stylish local crowd. The drive to the airport is about 35 minutes so this hotel perfectly placed for a pre-flight stay whether you have a hire-car or are taking a taxi. But the hotel is so great and the town is so beautiful you're completely in another world while you stay there. If you have time it's also a great base for the Tonnara at Scopello, for Segesta and for the dramatic coastline up to San Vito lo Capo.

We had a fantastic experience staying in Hotel Cala Marina. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect, the views, the outdoor seating area, the decor of the hotel it's all exceptional. The breakfast was so much better than we could have hoped, a huge buffet with new options every day, both sweet and savoury, all fresh and local. The rooms were spotless and the beds were very comfortable. The private car park is very handy and at a reasonable rate. Everything was perfect. All of the staff were so friendly but a special mention has to be given to Maria at reception who was so kind and accommodating during our stay, providing us with a complimentary welcome drink, giving us recommendations for day trips and restaurants, and even organising a takeaway breakfast for us on the last morning when we were checking out very early. I can't recommend this place enough!

This is a lovely family run hotel right on the harbour with restaurants for lunch and dinner within easy access. Staff were friendly and helpful and happy to bring our breakfast coffee across to the outside area opposite. Our room while small with two large cases was well appointed and v clean. The small balcony gave us a view of some of the marina. The air conditioning kept the room cool. The shower room was clean and had plenty of hot water. We had a car and while there was very limited hotel parking, there was plenty of free and pay to to use options near by.

This family run hotel exceeded our expectations. From the moment we stepped into the immaculately presented foyer we felt welcome. The staff were so friendly and helpful especially Luna, booking a car space prior to our arrival and restaurant for us as soon as we arrived. The buffet breakfast was extensive, and the hotel’s chef took great pride walking us through the range of sweet and savoury options she had prepared. Castellammare del Golfo is a gorgeous little coastal town and Hotel Cala Marina was a perfect choice to make our short stay a very memorable one.

This is such a cute place for a couple of nights stay, and to explore/hike in the Reserva Naturale Orientata dello Zingaro - a must do! The staff are so lovely and welcoming, the view is gorgeous, and the breakfast was exceptional! Worth staying just for the breakfast, full of homemade sweet and savoury Sicilian dishes and delicacies. Sitting out on the terrace and eating your breakfast will be one of the best moments of your holiday! It was a really wholesome stay, and I had the best gelato at Vernaci.

We had the smaller room and it was quite small, so I would say a longer stay might feel a bit cramped for two people. The balconies are very close together so not very private, but the staff, the breakfast, and the location make up for that. We'll 100% come back!

Booked this hotel for three nights and it was terrific. All the staff were very helpful and the breakfast were really very tasty. The room was ideal with air conditioning. Having a balcony at the front was worth booking. Being able to to sit with a glass of wine overlooking the boats, restaurants and people watching was great. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. We had a couple of days at the beach the first was at the nearest which had a beach bar, loungers and parasols. Drinks were reasonable however €30 for the use of the parasol and lounger was a bit expensive. Cheaper if you choose one further from the beachfront. Beach was a bit stoney with some sandy areas. We walked round to the larger beach (25 mins) where we got a lounger and Parasol for €15 for the day. Prices are seasonal and this was mid September but the summer cost wasn’t too bad(€25ish ?). Prices at the beach bar were also very reasonable. We traveled by motorcycle and there was free nearby street parking. The hotel offers parking (fee) but it was full when we arrived I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel

Staff was nice. Breakfast was adequate. We found Luna, however, to be most helpful when we asked her to order pizza to be delivered to our room as restaurants were closed due to the heavy rain. The hotel was very clean.

We found the beds to be too hard. We had to remind Maria the morning after we arrived if she followed up with a boat tour company to see if they would pick us up at the hotel. (they needed 4 people). Had I not asked her, we never would have known that it was not possible to go on the tour.

An old fashioned quaint hotel with a welcoming entrance and very friendly staff. The lady who checked us in was very informative and charismatic and offered us a lot of relevant information regarding our stay. She took time and was patient a great asset for the hotel. Nicely located. Lots of great restaurants. I was told many have a good standard. We visited some beautiful beaches with stunning views and blue waters a delight to swim in.

Cute hotel in a beautiful location with lots of restaurants nearby. Spectacular scenery. The staff were all really kind, and the breakfast was amazing. The view out the balcony was spectacular. The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom were fairly large. Extraordinary value in my opinion.

Driving in was a little stressful because of uncertainty around the ZTL. It would be helpful for the hotel to include info about ZTL times in the welcome email, even if not applicable on the day. It wasn't active the day I was there but I got a little anxious when I saw a ZTL sign.

The location was excellent. A little down along the quay making it easy to get in and out. They had wonderful breakfasts, a full line of foods. The view from the front and during warmer times where one can sit in front is excellent of th e harbor. And I cannot say enough about the friendly staff

Parking everywhere in Sicily is problematic. They had a nice area that one could reserve which was a bit away from the hotel.
