Chose this place because of the pictures of the bedroom, I thought it was so romantic looking. Lived up and exceeded all my expectations. It was an entire 2 bedroom unit with a LR, dining table, small kitchen and 1.5 bathrooms. It was exactly what you would want a B&B to be. Breakfast was delicious and made to order.

stairs to get up to the second floor but that wasn't unexpected. Only suggestion for improvement would be a little card explaining how to use the coffee maker, host walked us through it twice but the information didn't stick so some directions would be helpful.

A Hidden Gem in Castiglione del Lago! What a lovely place! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The host truly understands hospitality — warm, thoughtful, and genuinely caring. We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a newly renovated mini apartment, which had everything we needed: great air conditioning, a comfortable bed, and a superb breakfast served right in the room. Every detail was taken care of. Castiglione del Lago itself is perfect for a relaxing night: charming streets, delicious dining, and a peaceful stroll by the lake. Highly recommended — this B&B is a place we’d love to return to!

Silvano and Giovanna (as well as Black and Brioche) are the loveliest hosts in the most charming B&B! Their hospitality and level of service is exceptional. The accommodation was very comfortable, clean and well-maintained. It’s situated right in the heart of the historic center (but the quieter street) of beautiful Castiglione del Lago, within walking distance to the ferry terminal that takes you to the nearby islands/towns. A trip to tranquil Isola Maggiore is not to be missed. Also within a few steps are great restaurants including the Michelin Bib Gourmand, L’Acquario and the breathtaking views from Rocca del Leone. Also truly appreciated the kind gesture of being picked up and dropped off at the station without me asking for it! Could not recommend highly enough.

Our stay in B&B Antica Gabella was excellent. The property is located very centrally with many restaurants around. The hosts are very nice and helpful - we met all the family who live next door. They helped us with the car parking and advised where we could park for free. Then they helped to drive the car back to hotel when we needed to collect the luggage before leaving as it is not that easy to drive there around. They prepared us very nice breakfast and asked in advance what would we like to eat. The room wasn't big but it has a character, was clean, comfortable and we had everything we needed.

Probably the best accommodation I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. The owners were so welcoming from the moment we arrived until our final send off, offering us drinks and pastries when we arrived. The breakfast each morning was outstanding. The room itself was perfect - charming decorations, large space, excellent air conditioning, and a very comfortable bed. I would return in a heartbeat!

WiFi cut in and out sometimes, but not a huge deal as we did not need it much.

We LOVED staying at Antica Gabella. It was so gorgeous. The owners go above and beyond to take care of you. You get so much space and it is immaculately clean, whilst still being rustic and charming. The breakfast was beautiful and delivered fresh each day. So many little things to love; memory foam pillows, welcome treats, great coffee machine, fluffy towels, even a torch to take out at night. The location is perfect. We can’t wait to stay again xx

We loved everything

The apartment was charming and stylish with every luxury you could imagine. The beds were so comfortable as were the sofas but the best thing was our host who delivered freshly cooked breakfast to us every morning and was constantly filling the fridge with supplies for our stay. I can’t recommend this place enough, it is worth every penny.

Very attentive hosts, they provided all the poss8ble support for our stay. We enjoyed a spacious and comfortable room, finely decorated and cozy. Breakfast was outstanding, and punctually served at the agreed time. Located in the heart of the old town, it's an ideal spot for a quiet, yet central stay. Highly recommended!,

Highly recommend!!! The owners went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, memorable, and special. The rooms are beautiful and well serviced. The location is fantastic, right in the historic center of town! Breakfast was delicious, loads of choices (both sweet and savoury) prepared and delivered to the room.

Everything about Antica Gabella is perfect. Giovanna & Walter are really the best hosts. The deco of the rooms is beautiful. And the breakfast brought to your room every morning is out of this world
