Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The location is excellent, in a relatively quiet residential part of the busy city, while still close to the center. There is a common kitchen area, which is very well-equipped and which you're free to use. Hosts Laura and Luca clearly put a lot of work into making everyone feel at home and are very approachable for anything you need (including some great recommendations for sights and restaurants). One of the best experiences we've had in a B&B. Tip: if you need to go from Catania airport or from the train station to the B&B by bus, you should know that you can take the Alibus (which seems to run every 30 minutes, including holidays) to a bus stop quite close to the B&B (Stesicoro). We didn't know and walked all the way from Catania bus terminal with our luggage. Don't be like us! :)

There was nothing we disliked.

Breakfast was good, mostly sweet bread products. No cheese or meats. Loved the fact that the bathroom has many hooks to hang clothes which are lacking in so many other places. The hosts, Laura and Luca, are very friendly and helpful in providing us with the information we needed. Really appreciated the fact that Laura woke up extra early to make breakfast for us since we had an early morning tour on the second day of our arrival. The room was very well-appointed, beds were comfortable and we had easy access to the kitchen. Bathroom was large and had warmers for the towels etc. Great feature. The B&B is also located close to lots of restaurants.

Didn't care for the fact that they don't make the beds while cleaning your room. Also there is a bright light that comes on automatically in the space between the bedroom and the bathroom which is very disturbing and distracting for those already in bed, who get woken up. It is quite unnecessary and we told Laura that. I had sprained my ankle and foot while on a tour and was told to apply ice packs. Unfortunately the B&B don't have ice on hand. Be aware of that if u want ice.

The accomodation is run by a brother and sister. They were really nice, helpful and well prepared for the questions (nearby restaurants, public transportation, taxi, etc.) The breakfast is far more than a typical italian breakfast. We were asked at the arrival what we usually eat, and they prepare it for us, even with gluteen free options.

Everything was great.

We loved everything about B&B Contessa dei venti and Laura and Luca were fantastic hosts. The pre arrival communication was excellent. We asked if we could drop our bags off pre check in, which they were more than happy for us to do, and when we arrived our rooms were ready earlier than anticipated. The rooms were spotless, very well equipped and website photos are a true representation . The property is very secure and the perfect base to explore lovely Catania (approx 20-25 mins walk from the centre). We loved the location and had a fabulous meal at a local restaurant 3 mins walk from the B&B. The Italian style breakfast was perfect for us - great coffee! We hope to visit the area again as it was a one night stay before a flight to Naples but we would have no hesitation in staying again and highly recommend.

We loved everything - it was perfect for us.

The hosts were very kind and helpful. They offered a nice breakfast in the morning and were accommodating to our schedule. We only stayed overnight but it was an enjoyable stay. The rooms were clean and modern.

It was out of the hosts control but the building elevator was not in service due to renovations and we had to walk up 4 flights of double stairs. The hosts alerted us with enough time to cancel because of this and we choose to keep our reservation. They were very accommodating and were willing to come and help us with our baggage if we needed upon arrival. We only brought backpacks so went up ourselves.

It’s very clean and I like the balcony (sun most of the day). Luca&Laura are helpful and friendly and I was happy to practice Italian with them, they did not swap to english, even if my Italian is not perfect!

Nothing. Only thing I found not to be 100% was the quality of the water. Don’t really know what it was, but felt a little strange.

Good location, very friendly hosts, room was very clean, new and in a good standard. There wasn't any noise heard at night, beds were comfortable.

Only sweets for breakfast, I'm not used to this type of breakfasts every day. My little suggestion would be to differentiate it a bit - add some cheese, ham and vegetables as an option.

I got everything I expected from the listing and more. The room was clean and spacious, the AC was wonderful, and the bathroom was fully kitted. Everything was spectacular.

The only thing that I would change about this place is the towels, they were very rough and hard.

This B&B is veryyyy clean, from the moment you are welcomed at the door, you realize how clean it is. The siblings Laura and Luca are very polite and helpful. We enjoyed every single day of our stay here, as the whole place is newly renovated, the room is very comfortable, clean, fast wifi, and in general this place has a great location, 8 minutes walk from the central street. Laura, always willing to help, gave us many great recommendations on what to do while in Catania. Furthermore, she gave us the contact of Andrea for a trip to Etna, which was fantastic, plus he lives in the same buidling (so no need to move far as he picks you at the front door). We will definitely come back to B&B Contessa in our next trip to Catania, Laura and Luca are excellent hosts.

We did not have breakfast. The Contessa was well placed for walk to Duomo, nearby restaurants, it was a lovely design and Luca and Laura were VERY helpful.

Maybe some complementary tea or coffee, but the nachine in the kitchen was very convenient.
