I liked the location and the owners were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was good and the rooms were large and clean as well as the bathrooms.

There was only the owners around in the morning and felt rushed in the morning to get breakfast so they could leave. They were very kind and packed up a breakfast for us so we would have something as we left early in the morning the next day before they arrived at 730AM. I think I missed having someone around as the place felt very quiet whereas the B&B we stayed in Palermo had lots of people around in the morning and it felt more warm and friendly to me.

Good size room (no 2) with very comfortable bed & pillows. Nice clean bathroom with hot powerful shower - however ‘free toiletries’ means a small tube of shampoo, no conditioner or body wash/cream (in case like us you are travelling light). There are quite a few step to negotiate, including into the bathroom, not a problem for us but something to be aware of.

No frills property at the price - lack of toiletries in bathroom. Disappointing that no breakfast was available (included or otherwise) despite booking.com reviews repeatedly mentioning breakfast - right up to the time of our stay at end of October 2024.

Beautifully done up spacious rooms with helpful and warm team. The staff is in the property only in the mornings for breakfast and checkins and you need to inform them in advance of your check in time so they can be present. They are super helpful with tips and suggestions for restaurants, sight seeing etc. They give you the security code so you can come and go as you please. There is a discounted rate for parking in the garage next door which is very convenient if you have a car. The breakfast was delicious as well and the property is located at walking distance to all the major sights and great restaurants. Highly recommended!

My room was exactly as described, and the photos were accurate. There was a slight problem getting the heating to work the first night, and Pierto came from home at 21:30 and fixed it. The location was good and near to everything. I would suggest that you try to confirm your exact arrival time, as the property is not staffed 24 hours a day. I would gladly recommend this property and would stay there again.

The location is ideal for a holiday in central Catania and also to move around by car. It's just 5 minutes on foot from the main junction (where the Roman theater is). Therefore, while exploring the city you can reach everywhere by walking. We were able to park the car on the street by paying the regular fee which was quite affordable but in worst case scenario you can also choose to park in the garage right next to the building. Other than this, the manager Piero and his team are giving their best to satisfy their guests. Although this place is not a luxurious hotel, the quality of breakfast and varieties are above the average of Europe. Piero is a very friendly person who easily helps the small problems to be solved.

There's not much we did not like. One tip that I can give about the room to choose according to your preferences: Our room faced the interior yard which was fine because of being quite but there was a lack of sunlight. This could be an advantage though in hot summer days.

This is an excellent hotel: the location is perfect to explore Catania, it is located on a nice street with trees in the immediate vicinity of the beautiful street Via Crociferi. The room we have booked was very spacious, with two large windows, big ceiling height and was absolutely tastefully furnished. What is most important: everything was super clean! We can only recommend this place!

The room was large and roomy and clean. The a/c worked well. The breakfast was excellent. You are provided a paper with choices for breakfast, select the time to eat and report in the morning with it all laid out for you. I usually drink cappuccino; however, the American coffee was so good I had it every morning. Also, an easy walk to city center and Via Etnea.

There were intermittent problems with the internet. They did work to get it up and running. There is no lift which is only problem if you have large luggage. The gentleman did carry it up and down for me so all was well.

Small,quiet, conveniently located, friendly hotel. Clean and tidy. Staff very willing to assist with any queries re. local knowledge etc. Breakfast simple but sufficient.

All rooms located on the first floor with stair access only (possibly 30 steps) which was not an issue for ourselves but maybe for some.

Kettie (sp?) and Allesandro were amazing: responsive, kind, helpful from check in to check out. The room was spotless and beautiful. The a/c was an enormous comfort in 100 degree weather. Excellent bathroom and shower. I loved my room and looked forward to getting “home” each night. The location was perfect for walking into town and some great places to eat just around the corner. I was traveling alone and felt I had chosen just the right place! I hope to return to Sicily and would only stay there.

Piero from Magione del Re displayed exceptional kindness and hospitality. He communicated with us four days before our arrival and provided us with helpful information regarding transportation. Upon our arrival, Piero welcomed us and guided us to our room, offering explanations and assistance. Our stay at Magione del Re was delightful, and we enjoyed ourselves. The breakfast was great, not to mention the sweets. The lady at breakfast was incredibly kind, with a beautiful smile. We extend our gratitude to Piero and the entire team at Magione del Re for making our stay a great one.
