This is a real B&B, not airbnb. The location is good if you want to be right in the city, about 10 minutes' walk from bus or train station, in the historic area and not far from the fish market. It is convenient to get a bus to Taormina or Siracusa. You do have to be able to climb 2 flights of stairs, so not for those who need an elevator. Diego will help carry up luggage if you need help. The bed was comfortable, the outlets convenient for charging, the lighting was good, the keys all worked fine. The bathroom was good and a terrific shower with ample supplies. All the small touches, including some wonderful quotes that came with the fluffy towels were much appreciated. The breakfast is fantastic-they should post a photo of it. We had yogurt, fresh fruit, croissants, jam, rolls, sausage, tomatoes, olives, local cheese, plus a delicious freshly made cake, orange juice, coffee, tea or hot chocolate all served very nicely. If you want to, you can place something in the refrigerator in the dining area, and they have extra plates, cups, cutlery if you bought something and brought it back to eat. They have plenty of books if you want to just relax with something good to read, and in several languages. There's a nice table and two chairs in the Bronte room. The hosts live there so you just ring their bell if you need them, no need to phone. Diego went out of his way to help us, not just locally, but including helping arrange for a tour of Casa Romana del Casale and the tour service where we met is half a block from the hotel, very easy. Landolina also offer some really nice and unique T-shirts, high quality for great memories.

Only thing we could have used was more space to hang clothes or a place to stash clothes and more hangers.

Lovely fruit salad every morning, with a selection of pastries, bread rolls, jams, and fruit. Juice, coffee, tea, water. Room was spacious and calm, beautifully decorated. Bathroom well equipped and toiletries. Bed extremely comfy, plenty of extra blankets if needed. And good heating/Aircon. Fresh water in room was great. Loved the tote bag to use out and about. Whole atmosphere was peaceful, and lovely with books everywhere in all languages. Owners were friendly and welcoming, helpful with any queries. The location was even better than we had hoped, so central for restaurant,shopping, sights, and meeting points for tours etc. also the alibus stop is just across the road.

Maybe a small shelf unit for clothes as well as the hanging rail. But really nothing we didn't like.

The B&B is located in the very heart of the city and right across the airport shuttle bus station. The room itself had a lot of character in its design and its signature Jules Verne books proved a feeling of cosiness. Although accommodated in a room overlooking the main street, we didn't hear much traffic noise during the night, which was helpful travelling with a child. We found the air conditioner particularly useful given the fact that the room had a high ceiling and no centralized heating system, which is rather typical for Southern Italy. Both the room and the bothroom were spacious, well-equipped and very clean. Last but not least, the hosts were very kind and helpful, allowing us to pick up the luggage long after checkig out. We loved our stay here… Fabulous location within walking distance to the main square and literally down the street from Biscari Palace, which was one of my favourite things to see. Spacious layout, spotlessly clean and beautifully Styled with thoughtful attention to detail. Handwritten notes on towels, soap dispensers and various other items made the stay feel welcoming. Comfy bed and Fabulous bathroom too. The breakfast was delightful in a beautiful little kitchen space perfectly decorated and welcoming. Each place setting was individually tailored for us and truly made morning breakfast a special experience. The owner has a passion for Jules Verne literature with an impressive collection of vintage books in multiple languages in original condition displayed throughout the room. He and his wife occupy one of the apartments so you feel safe and are able to ask questions and seek assistance if necessary. It was perfect for us. I highly recommend this accommodation if you are looking for a bed-and-breakfast in the true sense of the word.

Keep in mind there are several flights of stairs to reach the apartment. This is not a problem for us however if you have mobility issues you may need to reconsider.

Diego and Giusi are perfect host who have created a wonderful B&B in a superb location a few minutes walk from the main square and bus stop, walkable to all the sights. There were only 2 of us but we booked the family sized room for minimal extra cost - and got plenty of space and wraparound balcony. The breakfast selection was huge and all freshly prepared/baked. The apartment has been lovingly restored to make the best of the old features with all mod cons and a quirky book-lovers design. Everything was wonderful - from the (very) welcome fresh lemonade on arrival to the present of home-made preserve on departure. Can't recommend it highly enough.

I don't think there's a single thing Diego and Giusi could do to improve but a couple of features about the building warrant a mention. There isn't a lift so not suitable for mobility impaired. As expected from an old building, the water pressure in the shower isn't super strong and it takes a while for the water to heat up. The windows and shutters cut out a huge amount of noise, but there was still some noise late at night at the weekend given the location.

The kindness of Diego and responsiveness was outstanding. My room was huge, nicely designed. Cheerful and bright. Clean. Bathroom was nice and airy. Breakfast is substantial with many option to enjoy. Pastries and cheeses and breads along with a nice tart to enjoy. Fresh fruit and yogurt and much more. Of course coffee. I requested eggs and they were happy to oblige. You couldn’t ask for more. Location was excellent and easy walk to most attractions. Then there were the steps. Maybe 40+ steps. I managed and Diego gladly took my suitcase up the stairs. Thank you Diego!

The bed might need a new mattress, however didn’t interrupt my sleep. The bathroom was nice the shower stall might be the smallest shower stall ever. The size of airplane sink/toilet. A big person might have trouble. For me it was fine. Had to dry off outside the stall. Less steps… but most places have steps… so have to adjust.

Location was very good. It is a few blocks away from Cathedral, fish market and Via Etnea. Also it is 10-15 minutes away from bus/train station (by walk). We took the bus from Palermo to Catania (by SAIS), and it dropped us at Piazza Martiri dei Liberty which is 400 m away from the hotel. The bus stop to airport (ALIBUS) is almost across the hotel. The area was safe. The rooms are at the second floor (no elevator). Diego helped us to carry our luggages on entrance. We had communication with Diego before our arrival and he was very helpful. The size of our room (queen room with balcony) was very satisfactory, it was nicely decorated. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was good enough, mostly sweet Sicilian pastries., cakes, etc. though. They kept our luggages up to late afternoon before leaving for the airport.

I loved this book-themed b&b with its welcoming hosts. I was in the spacious and lovely Brontë room, surrounded by books of the famous sisters. The hosts put thought and care in every detail, from the nice little note on the towel package to the abundant breakfast with yummy dolci. If you take Alibus to or from the airport, the stop is just around the corner.

Via Landolina isn’t a busy street, but traffic got really loud. I didn’t mind as the location is supercentral, but light sleepers may want a room at the back that’s more quiet.

The premises are only 3 minutes walk from the centre of Catania’s historic core. The rooms are charming and decorated with imagination and flair by a book-loving couple. Diego and Guisi are lovely hosts and could not have been more helpful. A superb variety of produce was available for breakfast including wonderful home-made marmalade and yogurt. Diego was a mine of useful information, including things that didn’t appear in the tourist guides. Oh, and the bed was very comfortable. Altogether, we cannot think of a B&B that we have enjoyed more.

If you visit, you must be prepared to climb 47 steps to the 2nd floor. We didn’t mind (especially as Diego helped with the luggage) but it’s something some folk would find tricky.

This place is absolutely cozy and charming—truly a gem right in the center of Catania. The rooms are beautifully decorated with thoughtful, artistic touches in every detail. You can really feel the care that went into creating a warm and welcoming space. Everything was spotlessly clean. Host Diego is incredibly kind and attentive, always ready to help and make sure you feel completely at home. And if you love books, you’ll be in heaven—there are shelves and stacks of them everywhere, creating such a unique and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommend!
