We had such a great time at this accommodation that we decided to return for another night towards the end of our vacation in Sicily. Starting with great communication and friendly welcome provided by Alessia, continuing with the great location close to all the main attractions in Catania but still a bit more quiet and well connected to the airport, and lastly the great modern room that is not lacking anything. The bed was comfy and the bathroom featured a good shower with decent water pressure. Really appreciated that there were drinks in the fridge free of charge and some coffee.

Great location close to Piazza del Duomo, quiet area, with moderate traffic, safe in the evenings. Air-conditioned room with a large bed, electric kettle, coffee machine, fridge, bathroom inside. There is also a large balcony. You can hear the sounds of neighbors living above in the room (louder conversations, a walking dog), but it didn't bother me. Entrance to the main building and to the apartments is via codes that you receive from the owners, who are very friendly and helpful people, there is no matter that Alessia won't help you with. I sincerely recommend it and will definitely choose Al Quadrato D'Oro rooms next time I visit Catania :)

The beds were very comfortable. Heater worked well in room, extra blanket and extra pillows. I asked for an iron and was given one. The refrigerator worked great. The balcony was the highlight for us, so nice to be able to sit outside. We enjoyed the coffee maker, tea kettle. I asked for extra coffee and the host was more than happy to accommodate me.

The halls were dark at night. No lights on. I don’t understand why they didn’t have timers on hall lights at night. My son fell down a stair. The ATM was directly below us, lots of activity there, talking and arguing at it. Our room was next to reception office but there was never an issue with it. The room was provided with ear plugs but we didn’t use them.

The room was very comfortable and I give it a very high rating for cleanliness. The staff was also very helpful with directions. There are many bus companies operating in Catania as well as bus stops depending on where you want to go. The property is within 15 minutes walking to Metro. The Metro is one stop from the train Centrale as well as the autobus Centrale. There are many restaurants and piazzas in the area as well as the central market. The building is very secure and there is an elevator altho there are a few stairs to negotiate inside the main entry. I would stay here again.

The room was big, beautiful and clean and i had beautiful balcony The location was right in the heart of the city and close to all attractions by foot. The host was very nice and helped me a lot especially since i was a solo traveler

A bit noisy environment if you looking to go to sleep early, also the neighbors upstairs did a noisy rep renovation and didn’t let the host know about it so l luckily i got up early that day but it wasn’t pleasant to hear hard knocking

The location is the best you can find, with easy access to the Borselino bus station and the railway. Quiet street, no restaurant under the windows. Extremely clean room and bathroom, very friendly and ready to help landlord. Access by alternative codes, both building and the b&b. To enjoy breakfast you have to walk two minutes to reach the famous Prestipino cafe, which is extremely convenient. A special praise should be given to the landlady’s discrete generosity, who left us constantly small cookies and coffee. The hosts do their best to make you feel like home.

The location of the property was great, right beside the main square yet felt very safe and secure. The room was very clean and the hosts even left out little chocolates and other goodies for the guests to enjoy on their way in and out. I was very pleasantly surprised with this accommodation and would definitely recommend it if you’re staying in Catania. It was a great price for what we got - akin to 4 star hotel.

- The accommodation is a lot better in real life in comparison to the photos. The photos almost dissuaded me from booking this but very glad I went with it in the end! - Check out time is 10am (may be normal for Catania but not sure) which I felt is a bit early. I would’ve preferred 11am

The staff at the hotel were friendly and accommodating, making me feel welcomed the morning after I arrived. Although the hotel's amenities were basic, the room was clean and comfortable, providing everything I needed for a restful night's sleep after a day of exploring the city. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's convenient location. Situated in the heart of Catania, I found myself within walking distance of many of the city's attractions.

The hostess was lovely. She tried very hard to get Netflix to work but I think the password was incorrect. Very clean bathroom, coffee machine in the room & several extras plus a little fridge.

It was very central to Catania centre but in a rather shoddy looking side street where the buildings were covered in graffiti. The sound proofing didn't really do the job from the live music down the road. Earplugs were provided.

Spotlessly clean, gorgeous new bathroom, generous extras provided (including toothbrush and toothpaste). We stayed in the family room, which is very comfortable and has a little balcony with table and chairs. Great location two minutes from Piazza del Duomo. Alessia was incredibly helpful even before we got to Sicily, as there was a lot of uncertainty around Catania airport following the fire. Thank you!

I would have liked the option of breakfast but there is a mini fridge in the room, complementary cold and hot drinks and biscuits. The “pasticceria” down the road is to to die for and the Sicilian breakfast options are amazing.
