We really enjoyed the kind and welcoming spirit of Lucca, his dad Frank, and the handsome white sheepherding dog Kirk Douglas. The room was simple but had a firm mattress, good linens and towels and a hot shower. The breakfast was outstanding and a reminder of how the world of travel was before airbnb. Chieti is a very cool hill town and is a steep walk or a short drive from Via col Vento. As home builders ourselves, we were in awe of Frank's reclamation of the historic structure. The "before" pictures show what a project this was. Oh, and I forgot to mention the killer views. Super value. Stay here!

We had a very good night's sleep. Very friendly and helpful owner. Good position, a little out of town but we could walk into town for dinner. (Up a steep hill!) Some little touches made us feel very comfortable. A large chilled bottle of mineral water on arrival was much appreciated after a long drive in hot weather. We could park the car off the street right outside and felt it was safe. Had a nice cappuccino and brioche for breakfast. There was plenty of cake for anyone still hungry! Plus fruit and yogurt if you wanted. (I loved their jukebox and had a go with it at breakfast time!)

Nothing really. It is a quirky place but we had a good night stop there.

Host Andrea was very welcoming and spoke great English. He was happy to supply us with a kettle and tea, and checked if we needed anything. A great breakfast was included. Andrea made some delicious cakes to supplement the breakfast! The view from the terrace was stunning.

Just be prepared to carry your bags up a couple of staircases.

The view from the B&B was exceptional! Although our stay was for only one night, I can say that the room, bed and facilities were most comfortable and the cost was very reasonable. What made our stay at Via col Vento particularly enjoyable was the kindness of our hosts, Francesco and his son, Lucca, and the wonderful conversations we had with these two men. Lucca took care of us as though we were family. We will definitely look to return to this B&B with friends in the future.

We had a fantastic stay over the new year. Wonderful view and really friendly owners. My children loved the breakfast. It was a great base to visit the beautiful Abruzzo area, and we found the walk to Chieti finde.

Luca, the host and his father are wonderful hosts. They made our stay very comfortable and made an effort to accommodate our needs and requests. The view from the place is beautiful and it’s a good location for star routes by car

The host Luca and his family are very friendly. Breakfast included a good variety of items from sweets bread to scrambled eggs from the family chickens. The lovely view from the upper veranda stretches from the sea to snow covered mountains. Car parking is secure.

Definitely, the biggest advantage of this accommodation is super friendly and caring owner. We got free homemade breakfast and also owner recommend us few nice places to see and eat in Chieti. Moreover he knew that we are without car, so he drove us all way to train station. That was super nice! The second nice thing about this accommodation is beautiful views from balcony. It is really breathtaking! Also location is quite nice - there are buses from train station and also center of the city is about 10 minutes by foot.

Luca was an amazing host, went above and beyond. Beautiful location and very comfortable and clean rooms.

Very nice place to stay, room was not very big but enough for our family, everything works, nice place for breakfast with great views and playground area with toys for children. Owner is a very nice and helpful person, made us feel like at home !

Breakfast was not very satisfying… only simple packed food ( croissants ) and sweet add-ons.
