The family were the best hosts, from greeting you to tips and ideas. The husband was the chef and it was so delicious. You make the choice from the daily menu at breakfast so it isn’t possible to eat there your first night but there are a couple of options within 100m and more further into town. Breakfast was extensive - freshly cooked eggs several ways as well as all the usual European tasty bites. The rooms are spacious and spotless and quiet. The wife is gracious, friendly and always and lots of happy laughter. Their younger son is engaging, polite and very friendly It truly is a home away from home. Perfectly situated for exploring. There is a free bus pass to use in the surrounds of Alta Barda and various lift pass combos- we had all lifts for 3 out of 4 days-70 euro each and we saved heaps.

Unfortunately after 5 nights we had to leave.

The family that runs the garni/hotel makes you feel at home, in German, Italian, or English. They were wonderful at making all the guests happy. You can tell they love what they do, and the property shows that they care for it well. Our room had an unbeatable view of the valley and mountains, (and cows). We woke up to sunlight in the window, birds singing, and cowbells ringing. The hotel is a few dozen steps from the bus stop, and our stay came with a Südtirol Transit Guest Pass…a perfect way to get up and down the hills without worrying about parking. The breakfast was fantastic.

I honestly have nothing to complain about this hotel. The street side of the hotel is pretty close to the road, but Colfasco is so quiet, there’s no traffic at night to bother you!

The location was great, staff was really kind and welcoming, and the building was well maintained with charming decor. Our room was clean, beds were comfy, and we had a lovely view of the mountains from our room. We really enjoyed the lovely breakfast spread with cappuccinos and eggs made to order before checking out. Although we only stayed for one night, we would love to return. Garni Criss exceeded our expectations for the price we paid and we were very happy with our stay!

Wonderful place to stay even for longer periods. Perfect location, clean and tidy rooms and other facilities accompanied with a super friendly and helpful staff. Excellent restaurant service by advance booking. Also the breakfast was tasty and rich!

The owners of Garni Criss were very helpful and superb! Everything: location, room, facilities, breakfast.....were on a very high level! It was really more than we aspected! Most pleasant experience for us and if you will travel to Alta Badia in Italy I definitely recommend you to stop at Corvara and book this place!

The people running the hotel are husband and wife. They do their work with professionalism and passion. The place is ran well. The rooms were clean and the bed very comfortable. The rooms are quiet. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices of cheeses, cold cuts, eggs. Good cappuccinos and expressos. We hope to come back next year.

Really kind, polite and sweet staff, they have all the needed answers. Breakfast was wide and tasty, full of choices and local flavors. The little spa for guests is excellent for rainy days. The room was clean and comfortable. All of that for a very worth price!

Clean facilities, excellent location, and amazing staff. Strongly recommend for all visitors.

The shower fixtures were a bit faulty and outdated. But it was a minor concern. Good water pressure and hot water available.

We loved the friendly service, the charming and home like feel, the breakfast was incredible and the facilities looked great but sadly we didn’t have time to use them.

The Garni Criss far exceeded my expectations. I was able to hike and enjoy one of the most beautiful places on the planet and come back to a relaxing atmosphere with exceptional facilities and staff. Also, the breakfast was fantastic.
