The location was great if you are looking for out of the way. The view from the terrace is amazing & definitely a highlight. The room was immaculate & quiet. Plenty of parking. Two pools is also a bonus. Food in the restaurant was good.

There was a music summer camp during our whole stay which we hadn't been warned about. This became quite intrusive with out-of-tune piano all morning & guitar lessons beginning during breakfast on the terrace. Some members of my group were located very close & woken by bad music every morning. Tennis courts & bikes for rental as per the information were not available. Some staff were exceptional, others not very helpful.

Not clean environment because the location is old, not clean and needs to be updated for 4 stars hotel. Bath needs huge improvement mold & yellow stain , beds needs to be cleaned ( the beds underneath), room needs to be updated for 4 stars hotel Breakfast didn’t have a large variety of food ( not for 4 star hotels)

This is a stunning historical hotel in the middle of the Umbrian countryside with stunning views of the surrounding hills. The area around the pool and the terrace makes the most of this beautiful vista with that unique blue light that Umbria is famous for. The breakfast was delicious and the staff very professional and attentive. A perfect place to recharge

I wanted a room with a balcony but ours was tiny with no view and enclosed by mosquito netting. Not the open fresh air I was hoping for. But the bedroom and the bathroom felt luxurious. The hotel is remote and it is hard to drive to local restaurants. I think the hotel restaurant should offer more options - the menu is very limited and the food isn't exceptional. Fine if you are staying one night but frustrating if one is staying longer.

We planned our wedding at the Relais il Canalicchio with close family and friends. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience, very clean rooms, good breakfast, good options at the restaurant, lovely 360 views. Francesca thoughtfully helped us plan our wedding taking care of all the requests we had and helping with menu, flowers, music. She was very nice to have a couple of videocalls with us prior to the wedding in order to meet and discuss all the details. She even helped us with flowers, music etc. The rooms were lovely, the terraces had a great view, the tower room was also nice, only we had a bit of bad luck as the night prior to the wedding there was a big thunderstorm that caused a minor flood in the tower room which led to an electrical power failure and caused a delay in the wedding schedule. The staff was very friendly, especially one of the waiters named Hamza who was really cool and tried to accommodate all our requests, despite his superior, a woman named Sandra, who did not want to serve us after midnight and was rude to us repeatedly, even though we did not make any disturbance. Would recommend booking a couple of days here for your special event or for a retreat get-away

This Hotel is excellent and we will return. The location and view are spectacular. The rooms we had were excellent and very comfortable. Parts of the hotel are 1000 years old. The staff were superb and the restaurant was excellent, we ate there 5 times it was so good. The view, the terrace the 2 pools simply fantastic.

The location is astonishing! After a hazardous mountain ride, you arrive at this amazing location on top of a hill with a view over the valley, accommodated by 2 swimming pools. We recommend the restaurant that was excellent and the service made by young people was surprisingly very professional. The bed was comfortable and direct access to the pool was very welcoming on such high temperatures.

The bathroom was not very clean, but it did not affect the quality of our stay.

Generally the hotel is still in good shape but there are a few details where they have let things slip a bit. Most notably, they use plastic cups everywhere - the minibar, the breakfast room, etc etc. Not just from an environmental point of view that is questionable but it also dilutes the high quality experience that guests would have and makes everything suddenly feel a bit "cheap" - although the hotel is actually lovely and well maintained as previously

Relais Il Canalicchio Country Resort & SPA in an incredible place at the end of the road. The drive was worth it. The hotel is super and the service was super. We had two rooms. Both big. One had a very special big bathroom few steps down. Both had execellent view.

Such a gorgeous place to stay! It's like a castle and a tiny town. Outstanding staff, fantastic breakfast and cozy delicious restaurant for dinner. GPS took us up a narrow unpaved road but it wasn't far and we got there just fine. The main road is much easier.

This was our 4th visit over the last 10 years. Wonderful hotel complex built in a small hilltop hamlet. We had an apartment this time with direct access to a lovely pool.

Nothing
