The resort is surrounded by stunning natural scenery, offering a peaceful and immersive experience in nature. The building retains the charm and architecture of the former monastery, and you can truly feel the unique energy of the place. A beautiful pool and relaxing poolside area perfectly complete the picture.

Breakfast was decent, though it could have been improved. The setting, right next to the cloister, was truly unique, but the selection could have been a bit more varied. That said, the staff were extremely helpful - whenever I couldn’t find something at the buffet, they were quick to assist and tried to provide it right away.

I cant rate this hotel highly enough, it really went above and beyond my expectations, much of that coming down to the amazing, friendly staff, who were always patient with my attempts to speak Italian :) Although I would also like to point out the all the staff spoke English. Breakfast was very comprehensive a full continental option and a small hot offering. I would have liked a bigger hot breakfast offering, but I am British and we love a cooked breakfast. The room was lovely, very comfortable and plenty spacious. Hands down one of the best showers I have ever had while on holiday, made the stay feel very luxurious. The staff, particularly on the front desk, were amazing and really went out of their way to ensure we had the best stay. The facilities also went above and beyond expectation, sadly as I was travelling for a wedding with my sister we didn't find time to experience the spa. However, I will be coming back to stay here again so I know I will get the opportunity again in the future. The location was great, it felt miles from anything and secluded while we were there, but in reality it was 15 minutes from anywhere we wanted to get to. Perugia airport was also only a short 30 min drive to the hotel location. We hired a car and didn't have any trouble finding the hotel, even though we landed at night.

The only critic I would have is we couldn't get the room as cool as we would have liked, but I think this was more the positioning of the air con in the room we stayed in. The other family members I was travelling with didn't have this problem in their rooms as their air-cons were situated next to the bed.

The location of the hotel, with free parking, was good. The area was very quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel had lots of character. There are two good-sized pools with sun loungers and chairs and a poolside snack bar.

The hotel has lots of stairs, with a lift only providing access to certain areas. Whilst I understand that this is a consequence of the hotel partly occupying an old building and being on a hillside, this could be an issue for older guests or those with mobility problems. We were not on a half-board tariff and found the restaurant to be quite expensive and not very inspiring. The breakfast was good, but there was no fresh juice and only one fresh fruit option.

Abbazia Collemedio Resort & Spa completely surpassed my expectations. This beautiful villa south of Perugia is a true hidden gem, offering magnificent views of the Umbrian countryside. The food at the restaurant was fantastic, showcasing delicious local flavors. We also appreciated the included breakfast, served in a beautiful room. The rooms were well-sized, well-equipped, and very comfortable. I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a serene and memorable stay.

I really love this place - have stayed here several times.

The breakfast staff was not accommodating. I asked for a caffe latte from the bar area, which we have received every time we stayed here previously, as the caffe in the breakfast room is terrible. I was told NO, the bar is closed. Additionally, the juice in the juice machine was watered down and terrible. It seems they are trying to cut corners, and it was noticed. There was no hot water for a shower the 2nd night we stayed on the property. The front desk staff was wonderful.

The resort is surrounded by beautiful views so it’s a perfect place for a getaway holiday. The staff was extremely friendly, the design takes you back in time and everything is very well maintained. The amenities are all great, everything works as expected. The SPA is also very clean and never crowded because you reserve a time slot in advance. At dinner I had the best pasta I have ever eaten!

The only thing that I could mention is that the pools were quite cold.

The hotel is in the middle of nowhere. It is very difficult to get there. The roads to the hotel were horrible, with no visibility in the night. Getting there was a nightmare, and for that reason, I would not go back.

The hotel itself is beautiful and well maintained. It has a very relaxing atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and assisted with any requests we had. Location wise, it was within a 45 minute drive of any Umbrian POI.

Stunning location, although we didn’t use the spa facilities the rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable, as was the bar and restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Think it was probably a one off but the hot plate at breakfast wasn’t turned on otherwise nothing.
