The hotel location - quiet, as away from the centre, but just a short walk to escalators taking you into the town. The hotel and room was spotlessly clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. Air con was quiet and we could leave it on low overnight to keep cool (day time temperatures while we were there was in low-mid 30s so still in mid 20s during night). Soundproofing was good between rooms. They had teapots at breakfast!

Our bed was much too firm for us which meant we didn't really get a proper night's sleep which was a shame as it was quiet at night aside from occasional door banging or loud talking in the corridor when other guests came in at night. There were lots of large tables reserved for groups at breakfast and very few for couples. Would've liked the option of making a hot drink in our room but you could get hot water at the bar in reception. The cleaner changed our towels every day despite a sign saying we could reuse if we left them hanging up. Having to pay 7 euros per person per visit if you wanted to use the swimming pool. We didn't bother.

Great Hotel. It looks like it has recently been recently renovated. Used by a lot of holiday tour companies resulting in a large turnover of visitors. Room was large and spotless. Cleaners were very good. Staff were friendly and always approachable. Breakfast choice was very good and restaurant choice and quality of food was great. Book the restaurant as it gets booked up by tour companies quickly. Location is perfect. Few steps to train and bus stations as well as being close to the escalators to take you up into the old city Large electronic safe draw was useful as was the wireless charger plug. Carpark is small so prebook if you can, although lots of car parks close by. Look out for the hummingbird moth in the flowers on the terrace In summary, a great place to stay!

Some USB ports with the plug sockets would have been useful around the hotel. Some relaxers on the terrace would be good instead of just the standard table and chairs. You need a hair cap for the pool although this appears to be a regulation across Italy.

The breakfast was amazing. One of the best I've had with real scrambled eggs and bacon. Lots of options for all tastes. Location was perfect since it was easy to get to via car and once there it was easy to explore the town via the escalators right close by. This was the best hotel I've stayed in in Europe. The beds were super comfy so I woke up rested. Swimming pool was great. Room was a great size for my family of 3. I wish we had stayed longer than one night. We will stay here for sure again when we are in the area and tell everyone we know to stay here.

Good location, room was clean and fairly well appointed.

We arrived at 1:30pm and were not allowed to check in before the official time of 3pm. Of course the hotel doesn’t have to, but it would have been nice. Difficult to think there wasn’t a room available, it looked very quiet.

Perfect location with parking and a modern, updated hotel. The room was spacious, clean, bathroom was great (rain shower) and the air conditioning was fabulous. The beds were a little hard but had clean crisp sheets. The reception was extremely helpful and got us reservations both nights during a jazz festival so it was a miracle. La Taverna was exceptional. The best part of the location is that it's right outside the historic district but literally steps from the 5 escalators that take you right up to the heart of the city. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nothing because it was a wonderful hotel. One note - if you are planning to swim in the pool the towel is 2,50 Euros and they make you wear a swim cap which can also be rented.

The hotel was very well located, right next to the escalators that take you into the town center. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful serving eggs cooked a few different ways, cold cuts, fruits, yogurt, sweet pastries and bread as well as espresso coffee drinks. The gym was equipped with a few cardio machines and two multifunctional gym stations. The indoor pool was a nice bonus, especially during the chillier autumn months (you must have a swimming cap to use the pool, they sell them at the front desk for 2.5 euro). There was parking available onsite for 15 euros per day.

The amenities inside the room were non existent. The room did have a tiny fridge and a few water bottles for purchase, but there was no coffee or tea and no electric kettle in the room. The toiletries in the bathroom were limited to hand/body wash and shampoo, there was no body lotion nor conditioner. They provide towels for the pool but at an extra cost.

The hotel has been very recently and skillfully renovated. The rooms are bright and clean, and the beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are modern and well-lit, with walk-in showers, bidets, heated towel racks, etc. The rooms are spotless. There is a decent gym. The included breakfast is very pleasant - lots of baked goods, etc. The location is perfect - just outside of the ZTL and easy to find. The Rocca Paolina is a 2-minute walk. From there, you can take an escalator right up into the center of the centro storico. The Partigiani parking garage is convenient to the hotel.

The staff were extremely attentive. I had a medical issue and they helped me to get help from an out of hours doctor service. The hotel location is just outside the old city but has easy access via the escalators and to the central bus station. Just a great hotel in general.

Nothing - but there is no kettle and, being English, I do like a late night cup of tea. However, the staff were happy to provide a flask of hot water and cups so this wasn't a big deal.

We had a very enjoyable 3 night stay at Sangallo Palace. The food, both breakfast and dinner, was very good. Dinner options were good value and very local cuisine. The location is terrific, very close to the centre and beside the bus station (which has regular local buses to the main train station. Mobile escalators bring you uphill to the Upper historic centre level. Perugia is a lovely small but very historic city and with a very lively atmosphere.
