Very central in Perugia old town. Stylish and comfortable. The staff were very helpful with parking advice and helping with luggage on arrival, Sharon was great. The rooms are very good with a beautiful bathroom and the besr shower I have had in a hotel fir a long time. The breakfast deserves special mention: very big choice, also with hot dishes, fresh fruit, waffles and plenty more and very attentive staff to bring coffee etc. The rooms the breakfast is taken are beautiful. Can highly recommend!

Perugia is a hidden gem! As the capital of Umbria, the historic hilltop center is charming and the surrounding views are incredible. Locanda della Posta Boutique Hotel is a great base to stay longer and take easy day trip excursions to Assisi or Spoleto. We stayed 4 nights. At check-in, we were given a room upgrade. Nice! The room was modern and very spacious. The bed was large and comfortable. We slept well. The location was perfect, so convenient to walk everywhere. The breakfast buffet was fabulous. There is even a waffle maker! The staff were all very kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our time here and would recommend this boutique hotel.

While the bedroom and bathroom were large, clean, new and modern, the lighting in the bathroom was a bit too dim. I think functionality was sacrificed for "style". Honestly, I just wanted to be able to see my face in the mirror clearly to do my makeup. Mood level lighting just isn't necessary in a bathroom. Also, it would have been nice to have direct control over the room temperature setting, but the staff were always so helpful and prompt when we asked them to turn off the heat. I am nitpicking because these were minor issues, our hotel stay was great.

Room was on top floor with private balcony, jacuzzi shower, large room by European standards,king size bed, and wonderful shampoo, conditioner & body gel amenities. Location in city center on Main Street near Piazza Italia; it is close to museums, many restaurants & shops. Breakfast buffet with hot items like scrambled eggs and bacon, variety of breads & pastries, fresh fruit, cold meats and cheeses

The court yard view really isn’t great as it’s more of a light well and the walls are aged and doesn’t let a lot of light into the room. We also had a leaky window due to the torrential rain. The friendly janitor helped immediately with towels, but management or reception never addressed the issue and even ignored mentioning it at check out. Not the customer service you expect at a four star hotel. Public Parking is, as mentioned, not easy and several minutes and stairs away and costs over 20 euros for parking overnight

The overall experience was very good, including service and staff. The standard of the fare provided for breakfast was very high.

The only complaint we can make, but one which was certainly a source of discomfort was the warm temperature in the room. Although when we booked, it was stated that air conditioning was provided, when we complained with reception they acknowledged but said the hotel was unable to set a cooler temperature because of instructions by the local authorities. The hotel was evidently aware of this situation as we were informed accordingly on checking in and yet the hotel still declared on its website that the rooms were air conditioned.

The hotel is beautiful and located in the city center. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable, and the bathroom was functional and updated. The staff was kind and helpful and they gave us great recommendations for food and visiting. The best part of the stay was the included breakfast, which was superlative: everything was fresh, delicious, and abundant. Make sure you don't miss the breakfast here!

The hotel is not easy to reach and the private parking lot fills up quickly. Our room was rather small and near a terrace with some very loud pigeons. It was all right with closed windows, but they were noticeable in the morning.

Perfect location in historic center with lots of shops, restaurants, musea... Private parking possible nearby. Excellent breakfast in stylish dining room, fresh fruit, good choice. Large tidy room, daily cleaned, all facilities. Staff was always very helpful.

In spite of correct daily cleaning, some mould was visible at the bottom of the shower screen, probably due to weak ventilation of the bath room. Needs some special cleaning and to check the ventilation.

Excellent and ample buffet with a variety of local, high-quality options (salty and sweet). Location right in the middle of the city. Very modern and rather spacious rooms with a very new and beautiful, clean look.

Soundproofing litterally non-existent – you could hear every noise in the hallway (we stayed in room 104). Also, a tiny detail: the salt and pepper dispensers at the table were impractical so we had to open them manually (opening is too small for salt or pepper to get through). Staff was ok but always spoke to us in English even though we speak Italian.

We loved the central location and the staff were helpful. The room was spacious and the shower has good water pressure and lots of hot water. Breakfasts were great.

The air conditioner could only bring the room temperature down to 23.5 degrees Celsius which is too hot for us for sleeping. When I buzzed to the front desk they said there was nothing they could do about it as it was an old building. They suggested we open the window. That helped but the street noise was too loud to leave it open for sleeping consequently we were overheated most of the night.

The Locanda della Posta is one of the oldest hotels in Perugia, and that shows in the quirky floor plans and the unusual layout of the bedrooms. It is as centrally located as you could wish it, on the main road that leads straight to the cathedral and all the other attractions. Breakfast is fabulous and staff were both competent and extremely friendly: they even offered to speak to us in Portuguese!

There is a price to pay for being in the very centre of such an ancient city: the old streets are difficult to negotiate, so you will want to plan well ahead: staff were wonderful, though, and made sure our car was in the garage in no time!
