We loved that it was a small family owned hotel, and the owners were there at all times. Really made you feel welcome. Very attentive even carried in our luggage and when we left that was much appreciated. We had a good conversation with the owners, so that helps make it a memorable experience . Our hand shower broke, and it was fixed within 15 min. We found this because we left another place three days early because of no customer service our heat and internet was broken and we had to sleep in our clothes because it was so cold and owner could care less. So this hotel was a gem to find.

The hotel has many great aspects, but first and foremost there's the wonderful staff. They were helpful, friendly and always up for a chat, making us feel very welcome. It has an excellent beachfront location with a stunning view and is situated just a short walk from the historical centre of Otranto. Breakfast was great, with lots to choose from in both the sweet and savoury categories. The rooms have everything you need. They're not hypermodern, but they're well maintained and clean. All in all, a real gem of a hotel that we'd 100% recommend.

We were greeted on arrival at this family run hotel by Loreanna and Gabrielle, mother and son, and shown to our room (117). Lovely bright room, comfy bed, nice bathroom, good shower etc. The hotel location is perfect, across the road from the beach, and a short walk along the coast to the nearby shops and restaurants. Lovely seating outside where you can sit and sip a prosecco and admire the view of the sea. The breakfast is amazing, Loreanna bakes every morning and the selection of cakes is all fresh and delicious. Gabrielle booked a restaurant for us and the meal was fab. We had only booked one night here, but were lucky that there was availability for a second night so we stayed an extra night. The friendliness of the owners made this a special memory and we would love to return someday.

Yes lovely breakfast-very filling and great value at €9 Also we could take our coffee out onto the terrace afterwards-and were offered another cup!

No tv program either in English-or subtitles ,though that’s probably quite normal in Italy! Would have liked one of the other sea view rooms as some had a wider door onto the balcony!

Location is excellent just outside the centre so parking is stress free but only a short 10 minute walk to historic centre and restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised to find excellent public and private beaches literally across the road from the hotel. We were greeted by friendly helpful staff. We arrived before official check in time but were allowed straight into our rooms. We were given parking permit at discounted rate and a discount voucher for sun beds on the local beach. We were able to get a coffee at the little bar next to reception. All very welcoming and ensured we got the best from our stay We only had one nights stay but wished we had longer

Shower was as a little small and the rooms a little dated but didn't affect our overall satisfaction with the hotel as compensated for by the friendly staff and great location and overall still very good value for money

Great location, with good parking available and 10-15 minutes walk to restaurants and cafes. Opposite the beach too, so it has a pleasant outlook. The staff from check-in to check-out were lovely, friendly and very helpful. The lady at checkout went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable- thank you!

A full length mirror would have been nice, as the only one was in the bathroom.

The staff/family was the best. They smiled and helped at every turn. We walked out of the hotel right on to the beach ⛱️! We felt at home. One of our best stays in Italy!

Do not look for perfection,but look to improve!

The hotel was located across the street from a lovely beach, so for me it was wonderful. A 15-20" walk into town, Old Town, and crowds. The staff were all very nice and breakfast was fine. Rooms were somewhat dated, but very clean and really, who cares? Very pleasant.

The location was top notch, right by the sea in a cool neighborhood. I would recommend the room with a sea view, the balcony is on another level. All the receptionists were great, full of understanding and kind. We would go there again for sure.

The location of Hotel La Plancia is great. The view of the water is lovely. Gabriele is a fantastic host who communicates beautifully. His mother makes fabulous pastries for the nice breakfast buffet. The easy parking was a huge plus.

The property could use some updating, but is very clean.
