Super clean, pretty, very comfortable beds, large room, location to town, quiet.

The staff did not seem happy we were there. No hair conditioner, one soap for shampoo and body, no wash cloths. At breakfast if you want yogurt or milk you need to ask for it.

Truly a gem! Masseria dei Monaci exceeded our expectation, it’s far more beautiful than the photos. It’s run by a lovely family and all the staff were really attentive to all our needs. They upgraded our room unexpectedly as we were celebrating a special occasion. Breakfast, dinner and drinks were exceptional. It’s extremely clean, relaxing and elegant. The masseria is in a truly beautiful region of Puglia. You are walking distance or a very short drive from Otranto, which is a little gem in itself, nicer than we were expecting with amazing restaurants and bars. Taxis or little tuk tuk style rides are easily available too, which is not commonly available in Puglia. Some of Puglia’s best beaches are easily accessible (some even walking distance), the Salento region is truly remarkable. We highly recommend Masseria dei Monaci, and we’ll certainly be back.

The stay at Masseria dei Monaci was simply fantastic. We had a great time relaxing during our stay. If you want to relax and have some peace and quiet, you've come to the right place. The grounds have a pool to cool off in and plenty of comfortable sun loungers. The hotel room was very nice, large and clean, and beautifully furnished in Mediterranean style. The private terrace was also great. The breakfast selection was great. It was very tasty. We also booked the evening meal. We were spoiled with three courses of culinary delights. The atmosphere was very pleasant. We are very satisfied all round and will definitely be back.

Free parking on the property. Great staff - friendly and attentive. Resort-like grounds with lovely pool area. Very peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast room was a thing of beauty. Great location for day trips. Quick, easy drive to Otranto for dinner if you don't choose the price fixed dinner on site. Great hike from the property all along the coast in either direction. Truly, a very convenient and lovely stay. While there in mid-May, the staff was making continuous improvements to the property. I can only imagine how nice the stay would be in warmer, less windy weather, to take advantage of the pool, outside bar and lounging areas.

There was no real place to relax in the Superior Double room due to the upstairs/downstairs layout. Having said that, the images on Booking were very accurate so that is not a complaint. Just something to take note of when considering not only the resort but also whether a particular room fits your needs. There was an abundance of seating everywhere on property.

Idyllic, peaceful location just a few minutes outside of Otranto town. Our room was perfect, beautifully appointed. Wonderful pool/outdoor area. Breakfast was excellent. All the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Only wish we could have stayed longer and enjoyed more time just relaxing around the hotel/pool.

The only thing I found slightly annoying was that i asked if we might use an iron as we had traveled from New Zealand and some of our clothes were very creased. The staff said if we gave them the clothes they could have them ironed for us, but this would be charged for. There is plenty of room in the wardrobe for an iron and small ironing board and most places we have stayed either have one in the room or you can request one to be brought to your room.

Absolutely stunning place to stay, beautifully appointed and within easy reach of Otranto, not to mention some gorgeous coastal roads, beaches and scenery. Breakfast was fabulous, with a staggering array of Puglian delicacies. Pool spotlessly clean and sparkling in the sunlight. Room was extremely comfortable, tastefully decorated with plenty of space, and the air con kept us cool in the summer heat. We ate a couple of poolside lunches which were very good value, and enjoyed the on-site 3-course dinner very much too. Wines and drinks were very reasonably priced and the service was excellent. I can't think of a thing wrong with this lovely place, except that our stay there was over too soon!

The whole aesthetic of the Masseria is very beautiful and calming. The property has been renovated to a very high standard by the family. We stayed in one of the suites which was gorgeous, the property is maintained meticulously, nothing is out of place! There are a number of rules that are communicated to guests when they arrive, which I understand, however we always as guests are respectful when staying in any accommodation. I must admit every morning to putting all my 'stuff' into the bottom of the wardrobe so it was all tidied away! The breakfast was amazing, such a wonderful selection of savoury and sweet breads, pastries and cakes. We would recommend this to anyone to stay, you do really need to have a car, which wasn't a problem for us as we were staying in a few different places in Puglia.

Everything; beautiful property, service second to none, very clean. Owner and staff beyond lovely. Breakfast is the authentic southern Italy experience (not the international pancake, scrambled eggs, croissants and bacon). All products freshly cooked daily, served in a beautifully appointed dining / breakfast room. Dinner served in the garden. Wonderful experience. Rooms are spacious.

Breakfast was good.Pool and outside areas very pleasant and tranquil. Pool bar good. Willingly supplied towels for beach use. Request for a directors chair for my room was promptly met. Cleanliness of all areas excellent.

You do need a car! Impression given within walking distance of Otranto it is not - no pavement, no street lighting. Options for dinner could be improved - no choice given, almost felt it was not encouraged to eat in. As a result not many people did, so no atmosphere. A shame as location for dining was good and the waiter very friendly and obliging . More printed informat on what to do in the area around Otranto needs to be made available, when asked the Owner’s suggestions were good.

Very good breakfast, lots of choice (all cold). Lovely friendly staff particularly Francesco. Pretty gardens. Comfortable bed. Big room. A couple of minutes drive from Otranto.

More shade needed in the gardens/around the pool. Most sunbeds were in full sun with no umbrella or shade at all. The little patio area behind some of the rooms has no shade at all and it was incredibly hot the first week of July. Also a pity the lovely pool is so very shallow and narrow. It was crowded with more than two people in it at once. Restaurant overpriced for what you get. Breakfast coffee disappointing.
