Breakfast is incredible! Large selection of cold foods in buffet style, espresso machine, and can order eggs which were delicious. The room was perfect - so clean, modern, bed was very comfortable, view of the mountains with a balcony, bathroom is gorgeous with robes and slippers. Staff is very friendly - we ended up being so delayed coming from Venice (flight delays, car rental problems). Got to the hotel around 8 pm and checked in with the gentleman from the restaurant with no problem.

The only thing was no air conditioning in our room - but we kept the window open and the balcony door slightly open which made it cooler at night. If we had brought a small fan it would have been perfect. Even with no AC I would book here again in a heartbeat.

Everything was perfect. Very nice hotel, super comfy and clean. The staff was soo kind. Location of the hotel is perfect - few steps to bus stop, town center, supermarket nextdoor,... and the view from our balcony was wonderful. Breakfast was fantastic - everything fresh and tasty, great selection plus freshly made eggs upon request. The only thing we missed for breakfast was fresh vegetable. We realy enjoyed our stay and felt really welcome there.

Nothing was really wrong - only few details that could improve our stay. We would appreciate air-condition or fan at the room since it was quite hot weather. At least small light on the balcony would be fine. And bigger trash can in the room would be useful. But these are all just minorities that didn't spoil our stay in any way. :)

Not always friendly at the front.

The stay at Hotel Simpaty was nothing short of wonderful. Some parts of the hotel i.e. rooms and breakfast area are newly refurbished, and the whole object is extremely clean. We stayed in the Junior Suite with Mountain view which offers you breathtaking views of the surrounding Dolomites. Waking up with that view before you go skiing is worth every penny. We mostly stayed in the very angle of the room nearby the balcony, which conveniently offers a built-in couch and gives you the opportunity to squeeze in and enjoy looking through the window during harsh winter weather. The staff is welcoming, and breakfast is rich with different choices and home-grown fresh food. The scrambled eggs were one of the best ever made, and the same goes for their cheese, ham and coffee selection. Hotel's location is also good, right at the main street of Dobiacco. The road is however quiet during most of the night as it's away from the main road which connects it with other nearby cities, meaning there's no traffic.

Everything was great.

We chose Dobbiaco as an alternative to Cortina we were happy with our choice. It was close to lake di braies, lake dobbiaco and tre cimi by car. Dobbiaco is also great for tre cimi as there is a direct bus which was right next door to the hotel (does need to be to be prebooked). The hotel itself is close to the town centre and multiple walkable cafes, restaurants and grocery store. The hotel was clean with spacious rooms and great balcony. We didn’t realise we had breakfast included so unfortunately missed a day. We loved it the other times as the dining area was modern and clean, with a good variety. You also have the option to ask for a cappuccino or eggs the way you like. Another standout at the hotel was receptionist/concierge Alek. He was helpful when we first arrived but remembered things we had asked and checked in to see if they had been done.

The pillows were too tall/big for my liking :(

It was soooo clean! The cleaning staff are doing amazing job. Hotel old but well kept. The location is perfect and the view from balcony is the best that we had ever.

Poor breakfast variety. If you are more fresh vegetable eater then bread eater you will be disappointed. No vegetables. And the pictures of hotel looks like it’s modern like, but it’s a bit misleading. Hotel is old. But very very well kept! And I’ve been getting so many messages from hotel in my booking com page, to “click the link or reservation will be canceled” the link is weird but they have been sending me these messages like two weeks before the stay few times in a day! I contacted the place directly they said it’s a scam and they do not sent that messages. I contacted the booking com support but still got those weird messages. So be aware and if needed contact the property directly, do not click on any links!

The staff was very warm and friendly. The breakfast was excellent along with the wait staff was exceptional. We also really enjoyed the balcony.

We upgraded our room to a Junior Suite prior to our arrival. The description stated that there was a mini bar, but there wasn't one in the room. We had a few things that we wanted to keep cold but couldn't. We mentioned this to the gentleman at the front desk but he was unable to get us a room with one. He was very apologetic and offered us some ice from the bar next door.

We came to Dobbiaco for snowboarding at Tre Cime Dolomites. Hotel Simpaty is perfectly located - right next to the building there is bus station with direct bus to Moos, and if you want to go to Vershiaco or San Candido by train, you can take the bus to the train station or take a 10-minutes walk. The interior of Hotel Simpaty is so luxurious and beautiful! Breakfasts were tasty and kept us full till the lunch break at the slope. Hotel provides ski deposit and Holiday Pass for public transportation, they also provided us with every information about bus/train timetable, maps etc. Staff was really helpful and we had no problem with communication in english. Right next to the Hotel there is supermarket. Dobbiaco as a city is really peaceful and quiet, we enjoyed evening walks around the city. If you need a larger selection of restaurants and pubs, you can easily get to San Candido.

Can't think of any!

We used bus as our main transportation to all attractions, so this hotel was the perfect place for us. It was only 2 minutes to walk to bus station from the hotel but it was a little bit far from train station (20” walk). We had room (#302) with balcony that had great view of the mountains. Breakfast was simple not many varieties but fresh and healthy. We stayed at the time of cool weather so we were pleased and had comfortable stay, beware if you plan to stay during warm/hot weather because it has no air conditioning.

No table tissue, no kettle.

Very friendly family run hotel, ideally suited right across Toblach's bus station where the busses start that can take you to all the hiking spots in the Pustertal. Get up, get breakfast, get on a bus and start hiking. And what a breakfast it was, probably the best hotel breakfast buffet we've had in a long while. A great selection of fresh, local products, both sweet and savory and a great coffee to top it all of. And if you go hiking, pay a little extra for a lunchbox to help you get through those beautiful mountains.

There was a little problem with out shower that could not be fixed, so we received an upgrade to a better room. Hotel service at it's best.
