It's a small hotel ( I counted 18 rooms on 3 floors) conveniently located in the center of the town. The rooms are not very small and cramped, so there is some space inside. The look is a combined old-fashion and modern at the same time. Clean, but some spider-webs could be missing. Comfy bed. A good bathroom, including a bidet and shower cabin. Air conditioned, but only working on "cool". A couple of old ladies at the reception desk, very nice and welcoming, somehow making one feel at home. I had breakfast included and no time limited, but quite slim (cakes, yoghurt, fruit, coffee). A minibar in the room. I got a parking place from the hotel; others, paid, are also in front, but an empty one is not always easy to find. The town is nice to walk around and in October there is the fair of San Donnino, with a lot of street food and parties. A tv-set which I didn't use.

The hotel has 3 floors and no elevator. During the cold season it is cold inside - although there is heating, I couldn't make it work; but, it seems a law in Itlay prevents heating above 19 Celsius, which is very low for me. There was no additional blanket. The furniture is very scarce, so no plenty of storage room. Sound insulation is (like in so many others) quite poor. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, but there are some nearby. The wifi works in the lobby, but not in all the rooms, in mine, at the 2nd floor, I couldn't connect.

I love the old-fashioned style of Due Spade. It's full of character, which makes up for its imperfections. Breakfast is offered as early as you wish. Beds are comfortable with crisp cotton sheets and warm blankets. Coffee is prepared individually according to guests" wishes..

WiFi was fine in the evening but weak in the morning, though OK downstairs in the breakfast room. It would be nice to offer more for breakfast than croissants, packaged biscuits, and fruit drink,, though there was some fresh fruit..

Clean, comfy bed, central location

Staff had zero English language skills, made it difficult to communicate. Technologically challenged also. Was surprising since it is a hotel that would have many international guests.

Location is good: near the railwaystation. The lady in the hotel is all the time there and she is really friendly.

Breakfast is a bit simple.

Good location and great breakfast. The lady who ran the hotel insisted that I had breakfast before leaving and didn’t charge me for it. Great hospitality.

The woman who manages the hotel is wonderful with quite a personality. The hotel is well located, with comfortable rooms with retro furnishings.

Although the positives made up for this, one could hear conversations in the lobby from my 1st floor room, as well as footsteps and conversation from the room above.
