Manuella is a wonderful host. She welcomed us with a bottle of beer each, sitting in the shade in the garden. Our room was spacious and cool, and we had a very good night's sleep. We had a fantastic dinner made with local produce and washed down with local wine. We even had some of Manuellas home made Sloe Gin. Delicious altogether. Breakfast was another wonderful meal, complete with freshly made scrambled eggs. This was a wonderful stay in an old Italian home as opposed to being in a modern commercial hotel. Very special! Thank you Manuella.

Nothing at all

The location was convenient, about 600 meters off the Via Francigena. Manuela cooked us a nice dinner. She was kind to accommodate my meatless requirement. Her chocolate cake was delicious and she fixed my husband scrambled eeggs for breakfast. We had our own bathroom downstairs. The view from our bedroom window was beautiful.

All was good.

An excellent place to stay while hiking along the Via Francigena. The facilities and the location are excellent and the hostess was extremely welcoming and helpful. We spent a wonderful two nights here. The food was delicious and plentiful and we enjoyed the company of other hikers who were also staying here. Highly recommended!

This is a home away from home for pilgrims on the Via Francigena. Nice bed, good shower, excellent breakfast, washing machine, optional meal freshly made by the loving host.

Make sure you see Fornovo before you check in, because once in you're not going out anymore!

What a lovely place to stay. Manuela is a brilliant host. One of our party was celiac and she did her best to accommodate his dietary requirements with little notice. The house was in a quiet area close to the Via Francigena.

Own ablutions but down a couple of flights of stairs from room.

Loved the beauty, peace, host, breakfast would definitely return again.

It would have been nice to have a layer of something added to the mattress, foam, memory foam, pillow top. The bed a so hard we both struggled to sleep and woke with sore backs.

A beautiful property perched high in the hills overlooking Fornovo di Taro. The views alone are worth the stay, but it’s the warm and genuine hospitality of Manuella and her husband that make this place extra special. The house is divided in two front-to-back. We had an entire side to ourselves. The bedroom is on the second floor, with a spectacular, south facing view. There were power outlets adjacent to the very comfortable bed - always a plus. The cozy dining room for breakfast (which included a fantastic, farm fresh egg & cheese omelette on request) and Manuella’s justifiably renowned dinners, was on second floor. About that dinner; we devoured a delicious, home cooked feast. A small platter of 36 month old Pamasen set the tone. Then a delicious lasagne, followed by veal roll-ups with cheese and ham (fabulous), garden fresh asparagus and raddichio as the main course. All this was capped by a delicious chocolate cake for dessert. We had a bottle of luscious Parma wine with the meal. The total cost for everything was only €48. Trust us: let Manuella cook for you! The ground floor had the well equipped bathroom, with a great shower with lots of pressure and hot water. And here’s a bonus. If you’re walking the Via Francigena and are tired from a long day, Manuella or her husband will come down the hill and pick you up. You just can’t ask for more! Highly recommended.

Manuela is a delightful host; if you are asked if you want dinner don’t let that opportunity pass, we had the most beautiful home cooked meal, and nothing is too much effort for her. The place is also nice and quiet, just between two villages up on a hill, so we got some quality sleep too.

Great stay with great facilities and a warm host. We had a lovely dinner and breakfast and it’s a very relaxed atmosphere.

Wifi was not great and it’s a steep climb if you’ve had a big days walk.

Manuela was a most excellent host. As we were Pilgrims hiking the Via Francigena, she agreed to prepare for us a most delicious dinner of homemade food. The breakfast was also very good. In addition, we left behind an important item for our hike at La Vecchia Quercia B&B. Thankfully, Manuela, was kind enough to drive a few kilometers to bring us the hiking items we had left at her B&B. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at La Vecchia Quercia B&B.
