Ischia is always amazing and we have stayed in several places over the years. Villa Flavio is located in Casamicciola Terme, quite a way up the hill but towards Lacco Ameno. The views are amazing and the hotel is well situated in the terrain. The hotel offers a shuttle service. Note that there are steep, narrow streets up there so walking is not recommended. There is a spa on site and there are three pools to use, both to cool off and for the health benefits. We had a massage right after arriving and it was a great way to start our stay. Our room was not very large, there is little space to put our suitcases. There is however a wardrobe in the room. We had a great view of the sea, although those on the top floor might have had an even better view. The shower in the bathroom could have been better; the shower head didn't work very well and with only a shower curtain some water leaked onto the floor. The staff were very helpful and friendly and helped us with any questions we had. The breakfast was a hotel buffet type, and quite decent. It would have been even better with fresh juice, and not from concentrate. They have a bar on site, which is manned by the night porter throughout the evening and night. The area is quiet, so we were not disturbed at night. In sum, it was a very good stay and we would happily recommend the hotel to others.

Only the few small niggles we mentioned above. Minor things, really, and nothing that should put anyone off booking here.

I would really recommend this hotel for a vacation in Ischia, especially if you desire a calm and quiet place and atmosphere. It is suitable for families, but also for couples. The rooms are spacious, they should be renovated, but for now, you have everything you need. The breakfast is diverse and delicious. What I liked the most were the pools. You can also enjoy some spa treatments which are extra charge. There is a parking for cars, but scooters can be rented at this hotel,too.

You have to climb many stairs to carry your luggage.

The staff was great! We were also very happy with the facilities. The room was not big, but we had a big terrace with a great view, which we appreciated a lot. The visit to the different swimming pools and the dinner were our daily highlights (good food, efficiently organized, with a great view and for a reasonable price). Also great to have a shuttle service to the next village/back up from the village - it's ok to walk, but especially after a long day, very happy to use the shuttle service to get back up the hill!

Some fruit for breakfast would have been nice, but we have really nothing to complain about :)

First of all, the staff is very kind. You are always received with a smile and they are willing to go the ‘extra mile’. We told the staff that our youngest son is a big fan of lasagne. Two days later the manager comes to us and told us that the chef is willing to put it on the menu for one of the following days. Also, the bunk bed initially did not have fall protection for the upper bed, but a quick visit at the reception prior to diner had the staff install it and ready after dinner. Another nice surprise is the shuttle service the hotel offers to transport their guests -free of charge- to both Casamicciola and Lacco Ameno. The property is excellent and well maintained. Nice gardens, four swimming pools out of which two are thermal baths, and two jacuzzis. The food is of good quality. The breakfast, lunch and diner are prepared with fresh ingredients which gives it a good taste. There is so much good to tell about this place. I would advice it to anyone. Thank you for having us stay with you.

The shower curtain! Please install sliding doors or just renovate the bathrooms.

Breakfast was superb as was our room with that fabulous view,the 2 swiimming pools, fresh water pool.and 2 hot pools. Bar tab kept for all drinks to pay on checkout . Staff are so friendly. The place is kept immaculately

Hotel reached by public bus and shuttle bus so planning needed when going out. Brilliant to have the Ischia bus going back after 10pm. No fridge in the room to keep water cold. Couldn't spontaneously order a cooked snack as lunch and dinner had to be pre booked

We had a very pleasant stay. The staff was helpful and always ready to assist. We especially appreciated the excellent food – the chef and waiter did a great job. The dining was of a high standard, and the service was very professional. The accommodation met our expectations, the rooms were clean and well-equipped. Overall, we were very satisfied and would definitely love to come

Beds could be larger.

The stunning surroundings, the location was breathtakingly beautiful and the therma pools were amazing. The staff were always very friendly and happy to help.

It would have been nice to have a fridge in the room, to keep some water chilled and food in. The shower was not great, fixed on the wall with a shower curtain, perhaps this is standard in Ischia and not just this hotel.

Beautiful view. Lovely range of pools and loads of Sun loungers and places to sit outside to admire the view. Staff were so helpful with all our queries - directions, booking activities, travel plans. Breakfast was nice. Nice selection of drinks. Free shuttle service up & from nearest towns.

The staff at Resort Villa Flavio are the friendliest. They make you feel at home :) The breakfast was tasty and had a variety. The most amazing thing was the free shuttle service to the central spots (Lacco Ameno and Casamicciola). We found it really convenient, given the island was very steep to walk.

The rooms are a bit old, but other than that, they were very clean.
