We were very satisfied with the hotel. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of storage in our room. This is a family run hotel where the guests are made to feel very welcome and the hosts are always willing to help with advice and practical information. We were provided with the bus timetable which was hugely beneficial as this is the main transport used for getting around the island and for getting back to the hotel from the centre. It was quite easy to walk down the hill to the centre and make the return on one of the little local buses. The warm thermal pool was a great feature and big enough to swim in. Great croissants and cakes at breakfast Italian style.

The shower was just warm enough. We would have liked a hotter shower. For the benefit of guests staying for a week or longer a change to the meat and cheese selection at breakfast would be preferable.

Warm welcoming - with the best limonade, familiar atmosphere and attentive staff! Hotel looks pretty: clean and full of with plants and many pictures on the wall. The breakfast was great; especially the lemon marmalade, you can choose salty and sweet options. The breakfast menu could be more various day by day. Additionally, if you want to eat authentic Italian food, you do not have to go out, they serve dinner as well. I wish I could eat lunch there as well. It is hard to not highlight Franz, he was caring and easily available all the time. Strongly recommended if you visit Ischia!!! :))

We really loved this hotel. Franz and his mum were so kind and helpful, we noticed that they engaged with all guests to make sure everyone was happy. This is the best service you can get. Franz greeted us with lots of information about the island and gave us a really useful map and bus timetable. His mum gave us an amazing cold fresh drink made with lemons grown by themselves. Our room was comfortable, clean and the terrace was amazing with sun loungers.table and chairs. We used the thermal pool which was so relaxing. This little hotel was decorated tastefully, very welcoming and homely around every corner there are beautiful plants, vases, pictures, ornaments and mirrors. The floor tiles throughout are beautiful. Each room has a quirky little area on the outside making it interesting to walk through, we had a little bookcase right outside the room. The breakfast was delicious! We had fresh fruit. Yoghurts, croissant, juice and coffee every day, there is also options of eggs. Ham, cheese, and lots of sweet pies, biscuits and cake.The bus stops right outside the hotel taking you from cassimicola terme. At the fountain we took bus to ischia porte, forio, San Angelo, Poseidon, laco ameno so it was very easy for us to visit the rest of the island. We recommend this hotel to everyone.Thankyou to Franz and his mum who made our stay special.

I so appreciated the warm welcome from lovely staff. Never been greeted so beautifully & I've visited 17 countries so far. Breakfast was a feast! The buffet had everything you might want, including delicious homemade cakes. I had a problem with my booking but the hotel solved it quickly & professionally. I was very impressed with Franz & the team. Really good, kind people.

Steep steps, but it's just the design of the hotel! Sadly, also, the surrounding area is not great as there was a devastating landslide 2 years ago & many buildings are half demolished or empty. But it's only a short walk down to the lively port & buses run regularly.

Hotel la Maggioressa is a beautiful & quaint hotel run by a very sweet family. If you wish to visit somewhere you feel more than just another guest this is the place. Franz - is a natural hotelier & has an exceptional amount of knowledge & time for guests to ensure they enjoy their visit. The bus stops right outside the hotel, allowing you to explore the island with ease. With many fantastic and nearby choices for food also. (The pool appears green but this is actually due to it’s temperature, fresh water circulates every morning and it’s is kept at a bath-like temperature & exceptionally clean as the water never stagnates)

I did not want to leave, one of the few holidays you wish was longer.

This a very good family run hotel. Very clean, well maintained on the hill. So, you must be in a good phisycal condition up and down to hill, it takes about 15 minuten. But there is a bus connection to Ischia and to the Port. the single room is not big, but enough for 1 person. Breakfast is also enough for the start of the day.the thermal pool is fantastic!! Staff is very kind, attentive, helpful, talkative especially Franz, the owner. I felt very well. Absolutely value for money!

The shower could have been a bit bigger but not a big deal.

Absolutely fabulous accommodation. Less than 10 minutes to the seafront, and a bus stop right in front of the entrance with bus service running till very late. Very well organised, clean, and most importantly, with owners who really care about the quality of service they provide and make you feel at home from the very first minute. DO NOT miss the hot bath if you didn't intend to use it! Without question I would go again in the future, especially because such people who give their hearts into providing their guests with such an excellent experience, are hard to find these days, and inevitably have earned our hearts as well.

The lack of a small fridge inside the room (there is a communal one, with which we had no problem in terms of space with the rest tenants), but in general in Italy it is very rare to find a room with one. So this comment actually goes to all people in the tourist business across Italy. Guys! Come on...! Summer in the Mediterranean is not easy!!!

10/10 experience!!! It’s a nice little family hotel, father son and mother all work there, they go out of their way to make you feel as comfortable as possible. Both breakfast and diner is amazing in the hotel, with home made pastries as breakfast and delicious diner and wines. The pool after a long day of exploring the island was the cherry on top!! I normally don’t write reviews, but you guys need to know about how amazing my experience was!! Definitely my new favourite hotel

The location was great. After arriving at the port of Casamicciola there were a choice of 4 buses to the hotel (which had the bus stop just outside the door!) We were welcomed by Franco who was very hospitable and gave us a cool drink (I think we chose the hottest 3 days of the year) and who then accompanied us to our room which was on the top floor (there are no lifts here) that wasn’t a problem for us. Our room was small (but I had been in contact with the hotel previously and had been offered a bigger room but we had chosen the smaller one as there was air conditioning). It was fine we had everything we needed and the most important for us is the cleanliness, and in fact it was spotless with a balcony with a view to the sea. There is a thermal pool where we spent most of our time around (as the weather really was too hot for us to go out exploring which we had hoped to do) which was great but probably could be renovated a bit. But we liked it just the same. We had breakfast every morning and there was something for everyone, including a selection of homemade cakes and jams (which we both liked ). We had evening dinner on two occasions which we found ok but perhaps could be adapted a little but were well cooked using products from there own land. All in all we found the hotel to have been a good choice - you have to remember it is a 2 star hotel and in so being has everything and more to offer than some hotels with more stars. Nothing really just the couple of things I mentioned above.

The service and staff were great and the included breakfast was not only ample but tasty. There was a bit of a downhill walk to get to town, and therefore an uphill walk to get to the hotel. However, the owner’s son and mother graciously transported both us and the couple we were traveling with from the port to the hotel on our arrival. I recall pretty views from the hotel, but since we only spent 1 night there of a 3 week trip, my memory of the room we stayed in is vague but I do remember that we enjoyed our stay.
