The pool and views from the hotel was lovely! Everyone was very kind and offered lots of advice and suggestions for things to do in Ischia. The breakfast was great value for money

The property is very hard to find, and not in a very central location. This is really nice if you want to relax by the pool but it takes a while from the hotel to explore the rest of the island. The bus to the hotel only runs once an hour so you have to time your day trips well.

This charming little family run hotel was just perfect for us . We had an absolutely idyllic few days enjoying the peaceful location ,swimming in pool,eating and drinking the amazing bruschetta ,melon with Parma ham and peach wine all made with delicious local produce . Oh and perfect negronis ( normal, ‘wrong’ and Ischian’ 😊) while watching the sunset . Everything was just perfect 😍 Guiseppe and Caterina were very welcoming and friendly . Always around if needed but quietly in the background, the perfect hosts . Communication before and during our stay was excellent with good recommendations and information. Our room was excellent, very clean and comfortable with amazing view. It is located above the port so it’s peaceful with great views but accessible to town. There are a couple of good restaurants nearby you can walk to if not going into town . We did walk back up the hill from town one evening so it’s manageable if you’re relatively fit and not too hot ( we’re in our 60’s),but there’s also a bus you could easily use which stops just near the hotel. We hired a scooter to get around the island but you could easily use the buses.

Excellent hospitality from owner & his sister. Great value for money, especially as I was upgraded to a double with balcony. Stunning views from room & pool area. Plentiful fresh breakfast options typical of the region eg meat/cheese, cereals, packaged toasts, bread, pastries, tea/coffee, juice. Frequent buses from the port heading both ways around the island.

Be mindful it's a 30mins+ uphill walk from town, but there is a bus that leaves from the port (no 16) that has a stop 30m from hotel

This was the perfect place to stay and relax, the views across the sea and beach were incredible. - pictures do not do it justice. The owners were so accommodating and friendly. The pool and bar were perfect. Great value for money.

I would recommend Hotel Ape Regina to ANYONE. This was one of the only places my fiancé and I stayed where the pictures perfectly portrayed the landscape. It is a beyond gorgeous facility and the staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. From calling us a taxi when we couldn’t find the place, bringing us free bruschetta outside of normal kitchen hours because we said we hadn’t eaten lunch, and upgrading our room to an ocean view simply because the room wasn’t in use, Giuseppe and his staff made our stay in Ischia magical. I cannot say anything more about their incredible hospitality and beautiful hotel.

My stay at Hotel Ape Regina was perfect from start to end. I was greeted warmly and was made to feel very welcome during my stay by the friendly owners. Travelling alone I felt very safe and I was given a free room upgrade with a beautiful view. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Ischia. The hotel an be easily reached by local buses and is very quiet and provides a perfect place to watch the sunset go down with drinks and snacks available. Also I must mention the breakfast.. this has to be one of the best I've had during my travels in Italy. If you are thinking of booking you won't regret it!

Our stay at the Hotel Ape Regina was absolutely wonderful, without a doubt the highlight of our vacation in Italy. From the moment we arrived we were very well received until the moment we left, the hosts were impeccable. The hotel is in an area further away from the center, which for those looking for peace and quietness is the ideal place, with an incredible sea view, simply perfect. The delicious breakfasts on the terrace with that view were amazing. A special thank you to Mr. Giuseppe and Mrs Catarina, who were always very attentive, never letting us miss anything and doing everything they could to make our stay as pleasant as possible, not to mention their sympathy. We were very happy at Ape Regina and we can't wait to return Highly recommended!

I had an amazing stay at Hotel Ape Regina! The staff were super friendly and made me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The building has that charming old style Italian character that makes you feel like you’re truly in Italy. My favorite part was the beautiful terrace, the view over the mountain and the town below was absolutely stunning, especially at sunset. It’s a peaceful, welcoming place that I’d happily return to!

The views were spectacular and the staff were incredible. Nothing was too much trouble, the food was so fresh, presentation and service was faultless. Pool was kept very clean as was the entire property and grounds. Short bus ride to the Port , Reception sold tickets. Totally chilled and hardly left the hotel as it was so relaxing. Thank you Giuseppe, Katerina and Lucia for an amazing stay.
