The Palazzo is located in the heart of L'Aquila, you can reach everything by foot. We parked a car nearby, within 5-10 walk, and never had the problem to find a parking spot. The Palazzo is a really beautifully restored building, our room was spacious, comfortable, very clean. But what makes this place special are the hosts. They are amazing, they made good recommendations for the places to visit and not just in the city but in area all around city, they made good recommendations for the restaurants as well. And the breakfasts were amazing! Thank you very much and hope to back some day!

Location was great!!! Apartment was filled with beautiful furniture and the owners did a beautiful job of restoring so much of the original building - given the earthquake of 2009. The owners were very helpful and very accommodating with our needs; however, those who rent need to know that there is no elevator and this lovely apartment was on the 3rd floor. If you come with strong men...no worries for your big luggage, if you come as two women and lots of luggage - that can be a challenge. If you come and just have a small bag or something - go for it! The breakfast offered fruit, yogurt, coffee, pastries, etc. - plenty of food for we two women.
Install an elevator....no that isn't going to happen - this is an historical and beautiful building. Know that staying in the city center - means you have some sacrifices for the conveniences.

Fantastic place to stay. The rooms were beautiful. Elegantly furnished with a sense of history. We loved having extra rooms in the apartment to share meals with our friends. The showers and bathrooms were recently updated and beautiful. L'Aquila is a great place to visit! Fabiana and Alessandro were incredibly helpful and wonderful people. They created a tour and helped us figure out how to get to Castelli to order ceramics! We look forward to visiting L'Aquila again and we will definitely stay at Palazzo die Pavoni again!

Palazzo dei Pavoni offered us a beautiful place to stay, very close to the elegant city center of L’Aquila. The hosts Fabiana & Alessandro were hospitable, warm, kind and knowledgeable about this gem of a city. They served us breakfast that was consistent with the charm and the warm welcome their B&B and the city offer to its visitors. Far from being the usual continental breakfast, the breakfast spread had a taste of everything Abruzzo has to offer from its Pecorino cheese to a variety of cold cuts, pastries, croissants and fresh bread (warmed up too)with three jams and honey to sweeten. Of course served with glorious capuccino/Italian coffee. Thank you!
Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy this beautiful place - both the B&B and l’Aquila.

The room was spotless and beautifully furnished, beautiful views and loved the beverages and snacks provided. Fantastic breakfast which was very nicely presented and brought to our room since we were traveling with our dog. They were very accommodating and were happy to provide us with anything we wanted.
Although my husband was able to carry our luggage up the stairs, it might be a bit challenging for others.

This is the perfect place to stay in L'Aquila! We absolutely loved it and look forward to coming back. The rooms are beautiful. The beds are comfortable, the showers were terrific, the breakfast was fantastic. We joined friends and Fabiana made us immediately feel at home. She gave us so much help with figuring out great plans for our time there. I've stayed at many places through booking, and this is one of my all-time favorites!

The room was elegant and comfortable, spotless clean, and in a freshly refurbished beautiful historical building. Very central, only few steps from the main street in the historical center. The breakfast was excellent with a variety sweet and salty local products. The host are very nice and kind and we had very nice conversation at breakfast time. They make you feel very welcome.

I loved my stay at Palazzo dei Pavoni, everything was perfect! The owners are very kind and helpful. The Palazzo is well located downtown, there is a little supermarket nearby, it is really quiet and dark at night, the bed is comfortable, the shower is great with really hot water, and the breakfast is great. I will definitely return if I go back to L'Aquila!

The location was perfect on a quiet side street near the town center. Many cafes, restaurants, shops, and bars are within a 5 minute walk. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were great, offering a mixture of local pastries, meats, cheese, fruit, etc. with plenty of options for any dietary restrictions. The host, Fabiana, was delightful! She made wonderful suggestions about where to eat and what to do in and around L'Aquila. I had a truly delightful stay made even better by her spot-on recommendations.
Nothing. Truly every aspect of my stay was wonderful.

LaAquila has been rebuilt/renovated since the 2009 earthquake that left it crippled so all buildings look new. The centered opened for tourism again only during COVID so the foreign tourists have not yet discovered it. We were there for 4 days and did not hear any language other than Italian- which is nice- as we really felt like tourists. The complex of rooms is run by Fabiana and her husband and they do a beautiful job of making you feel at home. Everything is new and works. Breakfast was served to us in our flat kitchen (we had a flat with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen plus another double room ensuite) and was adequate. The building itself is an 18th century renovated building with a lot of personality. Location is excellent- two minutes walk from the main street of the old city.
The disadvantage of the property that is under preservation rules, is that there is no lift - so you have quite a number of stairs to climb- for us it didnt matter but young families with prams and buggies and elderly people beware. Also note that parking is an issue and you are reliant on luck in finding a nearby place to park. For three days we were lucky but on the fourth we had a 7 minute walk from the car which is a nuisance.
