A beautiful and spacious hostel! There was so much communal space. In particular, I loved hanging in the hammocks in the garden. The staff were all super friendly too. The bedroom and bathrooms were very clean. The hostels WhatsApp group was very useful. I went on a fabulous boat tour with friends and others from the hostel which was recommended through the group!

I stayed on days where it was almost 40⁰C during the day. The lack of aircon in the rooms made it very difficult to sleep comfortably through the night. The rooms were much hotter than it was outside at night. Each bed had a small fan which made it just bearable.

Such nice helpful staff: Valentina communicated with me prior to my arrival. Both she and the owner were very helpful with suggestions for where to visit for day trips, and letting me extend my stay. Even the dorm rooms were nice and spacious and quieter in the front of the hostel than the garden facing room I had the first two nights. The kitchen was decently equipped with free coffee and tea sugar, balsamic vinegar and oil. The garden was absolutely lovely with a nice array of fruit trees and herbs. The hostel is well maintained and immaculate. Easy 10 min walk from train station or to historic center.

I stayed in a female dormitory, and it was a good size for 3 people. There were lots of lounge areas and a nice outdoor space. Kitchen was small, but adequate, there was also a decent size dining area adjacent to the kitchen. Lovely staff and lots of information on the reception walls, things to do, places to eat, etc. The hostel was about a 10 minute walk to the old town and to the train station. There was a supermarket not too far and a couple of cafe/bars nearby.

Not a complaint, but as it was an old building there was no air con, but each bed had a fan so it did help with the heat (10th to 13th July)

This hostel was SUPER clean and really cheery with lots of different areas to discover, and a lovely outdoor part. It's very close to the old town and also the train station, although if you have large/heavy luggage, it'll be a bit of a struggle to walk (it's about 13 minutes) and the taxi charged me 15 Euros, which was 5 Euros more than I was quoted at reception. That was a shock. And it's literally a 3 minute ride. Aside from that, my private room was super cute (twin bed was a change for me though), it was sunny, had a little terrace, good bathroom, closet, etc. The kitchen had a mocha to make coffee on the stove and they had free coffee you could use. It was just a slow time in Lecce with few trains, buses, activities, etc. That was a bummer. I bet it's different in the high season.

I don't think I knew I'd be sleeping on a twin bed. Maybe more help with suggestions on activities, day trips, hooking up guests with unique stuff to do. Heads up that it's a major holiday in town and stuff will be closed!

I had the twin room overlooking the garden with private bathroom and it was spacious and relaxing. It was also very quiet. The hostel had a decent kitchen if needed and common areas although I didn’t use the facilities much. It was well located for town and the train station, just a short walk from both. Excellent value for money, I’d stay again.

There were no negatives.

Everything is amazing, best hostel I’ve stayed at. People are also incredible, beds are very comfy, staff is amazing, always willing to help and super kind. Garden is gorgeous, kitchen very well equipped, bathrooms and rooms super clean, nice common rooms. Very well located. I extended my stay because the quality-price was amazing.

The wifi tends to cut off in the rooms, but seemed to always work well in the common areas. There is no AC in the rooms so sometimes it can get a bit too hot, but usually with the ventilators on each bed it’s fine to sleep.

Urban Oasis is an outstanding property in Lecce; location is perfect and there is tons of tourist information available everywhere throughout the shared spaces. Solare was particularly helpful and personable; she really went out of her way to recommend things to me based on my interests (nightlife, restaurants, tourist sites and museums, etc.) She also helped me book a boat tour for a time after I was leaving the hostel. I felt safe and the accommodations were terrific. I highly recommend staying here - my room was enormous and clean in addition to all of the perks Urban Oasis offers. (I didn't love the shower curtain...)

The hostel has all the facilities, nice common spaces and the 3 people room was perfectly ok. The garden is a nice area and the cats are an extra plus.

The staff was unfriendly and that didn't feel good at all. For instance, there was one train cancelled when I was in a very small town far from Lecce and instead of helping to find a solution for the check in (it finishes at 8 pm) the answer was sending me the train's schedules saying I had many options. I had to ask to the train worker to send them an audio in order to get a solution for my non expected late arrival. Besides that, they told me even doing the self-check in I had to be there at 9 pm which was not true at and made me rush between delayed trains when there was no need at all.

The location is close to the train station and old town. My room was really nice and clean plus the toilets were roomy and clean. The building itself is very interesting and it has a relaxing and nice garden. The staff puts a lot of effort into informing guests of all interesting events and tours, as well useful service information. The whole vibe of the hostel is super relaxing. I feel I could stay here forever😀

I can't think of anything really apart from mosquitos which no one can do anything about. However, the hostel had a decent amount of repellents available for use.

Excellent location and super friendly staffs, including the volunteer girl. The hostel provides very detailed tourist advice and most of tourist spots with train/bus timetable, so I spent a splendid week at Lecce even I travel alone. The room is spacious and the bed is quite comfortable.

The only thing would like to remind is maybe it’ll be very hot in summer as there’s no air conditioners in the room.
