We absolutely loved our stay at Demòra Charleston in Lecce. The accommodation was clean, and very comfortable — a perfect base to explore this beautiful city. The location is fantastic, just a short stroll to the historical centre, yet tucked away enough to be peaceful. But what truly set this stay apart was the warmth and hospitality of the staff. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel completely at home — it genuinely felt like staying with family. Every interaction was friendly and thoughtful, and their local tips were so helpful. Having on-site parking was a huge bonus, especially being so close to the heart of the old town.

If we had to mention one small downside, it would be that breakfast finished a little too early at 10am. While the spread was delicious, being on holiday we found ourselves having to set alarms to make it in time. Extending breakfast to 11am on weekdays and maybe 11:30am on weekends would make this already great stay a 10/10 experience.

The location is perfect! Only five minutes walking from the Historic Center in a beautiful area. The parking lot inside the property is great. The breakfast was delicious with a lot of options and everything homemade. Mr. Manlio was one of the best host we ever had, kind and aware of everything we need. It was like home but in a beautiful Palace in Lecce! A bonus, we had a great balcony in our room with a table and chairs, ideal to have a little drink in the sunset.

I do like everything.

Upon entry to the property it was gated with a secure key code and we had a parking space. This was one reason we chose to book here. Peace of mind in a busy city with a hire car. We arrived early and were told we could checkin by 12 midday. Excellent! We unpacked and did a little sunbathing by the small but adequate pool. A small gym next to the pool we didn't use but a useful addition had we stayed more than 1 night. The house itself was like a stately home. Very grand and very in tune with the city. Old but classy. Very high ceilings all over including our very large bedroom on the first floor overlooking the front of the house onto the main road. We had a large double spa bath also in the room which we enjoyed later in the day. Breakfast was self service and plenty of choice. Either savoury or sweet. With as much coffee as you liked. We met both the owner and his daughter in the evening, both of which were extremely pleasant and helpful. A walk into the old town was 5 mins at most. Loads of restaurants and bars. Beautiful place!

Nothing to dislike really. Maybe a coffee machine in the room would be something I'd come to expect in most accommodation in Italy.

Breakfast was a real treat and included some local specialties (pastry with tomatoes, cheese and bechemel sauce was our favorite). The rooms are spacious, cool and comfortable although the in-room Jacuzzi is kind of weird and takes up space that would be better used for a seating area with a comfy sofa and coffee table. The lobby area is welcoming with all sorts of interesting artwork. And the location could not be better - just steps from one of the ports to the old town. The bonus was being able to park right on premises behind a locked gate.

The warm and thoughtful welcome really stood out. Caffè leccese on arrival, juice offered instead without even asking, and homemade jam tarts made it feel special. The house is elegant and immaculately kept, with a lift that helped with heavy luggage. The room was spacious, air-conditioned, and very comfortable. Private parking was very convenient. Breakfast was plentiful with homemade cakes, and the host explained everything clearly. Great location too—peaceful yet close to the centre.

Nothing at all — everything was excellent.

The whole package. Lovely high ceilinged liberty building. Super people. Loved talking to the owner who has an art foundation in the city which we really enjoyed visiting. Freshly made regional breakfast treats. Wonderful artworks. Close to a gate into the city and with parking. And a big double spa bath to relax in.

One could not ask for a more hospitable welcome than that we received at Dimora Charleston! Every day we were greeted by the excellent staff with a smile and a warm greeting! They set the tone for our wanderings in Lecce. The rooms and furnishings were spacious and very comfortable. Our three days absolutely flew by. We would return in a heartbeat!

Big mansion within a fenced property with private secure parking, large comfortable room, reasonable sized washroom,, good breakfast with friendly helpful service, 100m or less from one of the old town main gates (Porta San Biagio), coming and going at any time like it's your own home. There is even an elevator if you need one. What more can you ask for? And the owner Manilo is always ready to help. If you need gas for your car, there is one just down the road about 300m away. If you need to do laundry, there is a coin laundromat just a short walk behind the property open 7am til midnight. And food options are aplenty inside the old town. San Biagio is also a convenient pickup and dropoff point for local tours to the vineyards, etc. Our GPS took us through an industrial type area to get to the property, but it turned out to be the shortest, most convenient, and least crowded way. We enjoyed our stay there.

Nothing to dislike.

Everything...the house is amazing and Manlio the owner was welcoming, gracious and knowledgeable about Lecce. The place is a few steps from one of the gates into the Old Town, so very close to everything. There is parking within the security gates of the house. Our room was small but perfect, with a beautiful terrace. Breakfast was typically Italian and served in the breakfast room from 8.00am. We loved our stay of only 1 night and would highly recommend it!

We liked everything!

I stayed here for 3 nights with my partner in June. Dimora Charleston SPA is a fantastic place to stay in Lecce. The property is situated about a 5 minute walk from Lecce Old Town. The property is a gated 2 storey mansion. You will need the gate code to access and park your car. Parking is at the front of the property and there is space for about 8 cars which is included in your stay. There is an outside jacuzzi / spa that is available to use. We stayed on the first floor. The room was huge with a private bathroom and big shared balcony that looked down on the front of the property. Breakfast was served each morning and was really nice. Coffee, bread, pasties, cakes and fruit juices. I would definitely stay here again when I am in Lecce.
