Hotel Sirenetta was perfect for my needs. Even though I was there for only one night before flying back to the states, it felt like a mini-break. The balcony and view of the sea from the room were wonderful - with a table and chairs set up, even a sun lounger. The breakfast buffet had an amazing assortment of foods - home baked breakfast cakes and croissants, meats & cheeses, cereals, and freshly brewed cappuccino! The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet, even though it was right above the main road along the sea. Walking distance to the pier and wonderful restaurants. The hosts were welcoming and helpful.

The hotel was quaint with interesting nostalgic decor. There are outdoor seating areas to enjoy in front and back. My room had a nice view over a man-made lagoon and private beach area, but unfortunately I tried to go into that beach area and it is for members only. So the public beach is about 200 meters south with some things to do there. I had a large balcony which was wonderful. The bed was comfortable and the price was excellent. The breakfast buffet was decent, and typical of an Italian breakfast selection. The hotel is only about a 15 minute walk from the main bus station in town. To the north, about a 10 minute walk is the main downtown with many restaurants and lively activity. (Side note: nothing to do with the hotel..... But, I had a tough time coming from Fuimicino airport on the bus and figuring out how to get tickets and located the correct bus (Coltra #2) there which only comes every hour or so (the Coltra (company) bus driver would not accept payment on the bus even though sometimes they will for an increased price of 7 Euros, so you have to go buy the ticket (only 1.3 Euros) at the coffee shop down the sidewalk outside near door 5, I think, and the bus stop going to Ostia is outside of door 6) They said you can pay on the Coltra app, but also the app can be difficult but will work if you understand it. Taxis are difficult to get from FCO to Ostia for some reason, as they don't get a return fare easily, so they will charge you a lot to go to Ostia. I tried an Uber but then couldn't find the Uber stand and had to cancel that. Also way more for an Uber than you'd expect. (FCO is a nightmare, and I'm a seasoned traveler). So plan accordingly. ) But I had no problem at the hotel for the return trip to FCO the nice front desk clerk ordered me a taxi for the morning and the taxi was just about 5-8 minutes late so, if you're doing that, order your taxi for a bit earlier to be on the safe side.

They have a problem with their elevator. It works fine, but it is an older version that has little doors that open outward and they need to be manually shut every time one exits. And so uninformed or inconsiderate guests keep leaving the doors ajar, and so unless all the doors are completely shut it will not operate for safety reasons. So, the front desk clerk keeps having to run up and down the stairs all day to fix the elevator. I feel bad for that worker. But that is how those older elevators work. You must be patient. But they were always friendly and helpful at this hotel.

Good location, clean room, good breakfast, very kind staff and overall great option if you are traveling from Fiumicino. 10-15' minutes walk from Lido Central Station where you can take Cotral Blue Bus to Fiumicino Airport right in front of main station entrance (€1.30 buy ticket in Tabacchi store in station) The bus runs every half hour (On Saturdays is less frequent)  Always double check with driver if bus stops in Airport (some other Cotral Blue buses don't) Ride is ca.35' If you come from Roma Termini take Metro B  (Laurentino) to Piramide and from there search for Metromare train (to Cristoforo Colombo) outside but without going out from the station. This metro train  will take you to Lido Centro. Ride is ca. 35'. One €1.50 métro ticket (100 minutes) covers you all the way to Lido di Ostia

Charming little hotel with very friendly and helpful staff who were quick to assist when any issues came up. The reception and dining areas are nicely decorated, creating a warm and pleasant atmosphere. The bed was very comfortable, and the location was perfect for our last night in Italy before heading to the airport. There was plenty of free parking available on the street right in front of the hotel. Breakfast is included. Note: There is a lift, but it is quite small, and to get into the hotel, you have to climb some stairs.

The bathroom was quite small, and my shower had a constant drip, which left the floor wet and caused a bit of mould around the edges and shower curtain, though everything worked fine overall. The walls are quite thin, so despite a checkout time of 11 a.m., you might be woken early by other guests or cleaning staff starting around 7 a.m. Breakfast was also rather basic.

The young receptionist at the check-out day could be more friendly. As I mentioned that the toilet board is unsteady and shaky, he asked me: if I’m sure it wasn’t me… 😳 no professional behavior at all

The very nice young lady at the check-in time was very helpful. She was the most friendly receptionist in entire hotel.

More shower gel would be appreciated.

The location is great! Nice and easy taxi from the airport and just two trains from Rome. I had an early morning flight and had to leave at 4am. Hotel Sirenetta called the taxi place and scheduled a taxi to pick me up at 4am. This is hard to do and they took the time to make sure it would come and I could arrive at the airport. The morning breakfast is also super nice! Very filling and high quality. Overall friendly staff and good location. Wifi was also pretty great and the rooms were clean. I stayed in two different rooms (one at the beginning of my trip, one at the end) and they varied in quality (one was bigger and more furnished). Each had a good bathroom and the bed was always comfortable.

Pleasantly old fashioned hotel with a real, friendly receptionist. My room had a sea view and balcony (not all rooms do, of course). Cozy , clean room, good bed and bedding, good amenities, kettle, fridge,tea and coffee. More than adequate breakfast buffet in sunny restaurant, although the coffee was harsh. Frankly, a good choice, at least off season.

Access from Fiumicino airport by bus should be simple but proved hard to figure out. Google maps was seriously wrong. Look for the COTRAL bus stop outside T 1. Buy tickets at the nearby café. There is no train. 10 minute walk from the bus stop in Ostia.

little private cozy hotel in italian style that is the most attractive thing for travelers who would like to fill the spirit of Italy. The room was with huge terrace having sun beds, table and chairs seducing to sit with a glass of wine. Beaches were right across the road, free and paid whichever you choose. The hotel kindly provided me with parking for my car on its territory.

the hotel does not have an elevator that in not comfortable when your room on the top floor and you have some luggage, but it is very usefull physical training, so it's one more positive thing.
