The staff were absolutely wonderful could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Fabulous service the room was excellent everything we needed. The view is amazing even though the weather was not good. The setting is beautiful. The food was excellent.

An historic building set in beautiful grounds. A large room and bathroom. A choice between the restaurant or pizzeria on site for evening meals. The Loiano area is beautiful and I would definitely return to further explore small towns in Tuscany. The staff were very kind, particularly in the restaurant. Great parking.

Amazing, we usually stay in 5 star hotels and this is up there with the best. It has old world charm, character and personality missing from so many hotels now, staff are excellent especially Matilda and restaurant staff were so friendly and accomadating with young baby

The spa was very nicely done and the restaurant had great food. The property setting and views are breathtaking and the location is peaceful and tranquil. The highlight was the staff who were really exceptional, friendly, generous really went above and beyond to be helpful. Feeling very happy to have found this little gem as we definitely would return to have a break from the city.

Slightly musty smell from the old hotel house and the rooms were dated. However the other parts of the property have been updated and are nice so I’m sure they will get around to the outdated furnishings and styling of the bedroom. The mattress was also a little uncomfortable.

This hotel and grounds are an absolute gem. We were made very welcome by helpful staff. The hotel is a grand historic building with extensive grounds beautifully maintained. Our room was large, very comfortable with a very well equipped, spotlessly clean bathroom and great shower. We enjoyed our view of the rolling countryside and hills beyond. Large pool and spa all set on a lovely terrace. The food in the restaurant is really excellent and great value. They source everything locally. Our first course platter of cured meats and cheese was the best we have ever had in over 30 years of coming to Italy. Would definitely stay again. Thank you.

We got cought to a rainstorm while we were trying to go to San Gimignano on a motorbike with my wife and had to book the closest hotel since we were exhausted, wet and couldn’t continue. It was the beginning of our one week holiday in Italy and it had a very bad start, especially when my wife got sick because of exposure to rain and cold weather. So when we have arrived to Palazzo Loup hotel, we were soaked and in a terrible mode, however as soon as we entered the building and met Barbara, from that moment on it turned out to be an unforgettable memory for us. The most amazing thing in this hotel is its staff. They are polite, helpful and very professional. They went out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as it can be. We got served a special soup although it was not on the menu so that my wife can get better. They drove us to the pharmacy to get medicine. They made sure we are warm and comfortable to get well sooner. Thanks to them, we got on our feet in two days and enjoyed the rest of our journey. If we had been in an another hotel, we wouldn’t recover from the cold and the rest of our trip would be much more difficult. After our two-day stay in Palazzo Loup, it got a special place in our hearts for the rest of our lives. It is one of those places, which has its own character, has its own place in history and its environment, rather than an institutionalized accommodation for tourists. I recommend you to focus on its unique and precious sides rather than some of its shortcomings that relates to its age.

The structure is truly magnificent, a wonderful garden welcomes customers together with a kind and helpful staff. The breakfast was good. The large room and the comfortable bed.

Few things I didn't like. The bathroom door did not close. I would have preferred the valley view room, but it wasn't given to us so I guess it was occupied. In addition, the rooms being a stone structure were cold, but by law it was not yet possible to turn on the radiators. The price maybe a bit high for being out of season but compensated by the beauty of the place.
