We just wanted to express what a truly amazing time we had at Hotel Crinale in Grizzana! We were so pleasantly surprised by the Disney touches we noticed around the check-in area when we arrived. It was lovely to learn from the owners that you both previously worked for Disney Cruise Line. You've clearly brought that wonderful dedication to customer service to your hotel. We were so impressed by how immaculately clean the hotel was. Our room was the perfect size for the two of us, and the mountain view was absolutely breathtaking. We loved being able to keep the windows open and enjoy the fresh air, accompanied by the delightful chirping of birds each morning – such a welcome change from the city noise! The breakfast was an absolute highlight! It was such a treat to enjoy the freshly baked cakes and biscuits, and even homemade peanut butter, courtesy of the owner's sister. The selection of cereal, toast, fresh local fruit and juice was also fantastic. And to top it off, the owner's delicious hot breakfasts and his wife's amazing espresso coffees were the perfect start to each day. The hotel's central location was also ideal for exploring the region. We easily took the train to Bologna, Florence, and Venice. On our next visit, we definitely plan to stay longer and use Hotel Crinale as our base to explore more of the surrounding area and take advantage of the walking trails you have. Thank you so much for a truly wonderful and memorable stay.

We stayed for just one night but would love to return to explore more if this lesser known region in Italy. At the hotel we enjoyed great breakfast (yes the Italian classics sweet baked goods and cappuccino but also ham and cheese, eggs, musli…), and the Trattoria in the same road was awesome and a great recommendation. The view from our room was just lovely too. Beds were comfortable too -there was just nothing to complain about. :)

Upon arrival I was met by Julsie at reception . She was bubbly and friendly even though I spoke no Italian I got checked in ! I felt right at home and my stay was for 5 nights and her disposition remained the same. The room was very clean and large with good A/C and windows which opened for fresh air. Breakfast was a highlight because I was cooked a homemade meal including fresh daily cakes .

Amazing hospitality, welcoming owners. Went above and beyond to make our stay and experience in Grizzano amazing..We were helped with dinner reservations at La Prada, a great restaurant choice. Nice and clean hotel with a very authentic classic feel with top notch comfort. Bed was comfortable, room clean and bathroom was well stocked for one night plus stay. Breakfast was good and had a great time talking to the owners, very friendly hosts.

A short visit, wish it was atleast one more night of stay.

A colleague and I stayed here for just one night, during a business trip in the area. Suffice to say that I’d love to return for a holiday weekend. It’s a small, privately owned hotel. My room was simply but beautifully decorated and furnished, and was comfortable and pristine. The hotel is fairly remote, so a car is a necessity to get to restaurants and bars. We went to a restaurant called La Prada, about 2km from the hotel, which was fabulous. The surrounding countryside is truly breathtaking, and I say that as someone who spends a fair amount of time climbing hills in the Scottish Highlands and the English Lake District. Hotel Il Crinale is a real gem, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our short stay was perfect. I have no hesitation in wholeheartedly recommending the hotel to anyone who visits the area.

I can't think of any areas for improvement.

Relatively small, family run, hotel in peaceful, scenic, historical environment. Exceptionally friendly an helpful staff. However the communication is only in Italian, however all is understood and all wishes fulfilled. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well equipped. The very substantial breakfast, salt or sweet, included home made sweets and jam, is served upon request. Practically all was fine, however just the exceptionally friendly and carrying attitude of the owner is worth coming and spending time in this exceptional place.

To big distance from the highway.

We booked this hotel due to the proximity to the motorway as we were travelling home from Italy to UK via car with our dog. We arrived quite late but the village looked amazing even at night, there was a little bar over the road so we went for a couple of drinks. Upon arrival the staff were wonderful, the owner was waiting outside to greet us and made a fuss of our dog. The hotel vibe is boutique and quirky ( in a very good way ). The standard of design and decor was beautiful and after a good nights sleep we had a lovely breakfast before heading back on the road. We woke to a beautiful view as the hotel is quite high up in the hills. Highly Recommended.

We felt at home at Il Crinale hotel. Both the Manager/owner and all the staff are wonderful and kind people. We felt welcomed and every time we needed, we had all their help and support in everything. We liked everything, the area, the hotel, the staff. The room was clean, spacious with a comfortable and large bed. We slept excellently thanks to the shutters on the windows that we could close to make it a total night. Tasty breakfast with everything you need. Free parking in front of the hotel. Quiet and beautiful location where you can sit and relax after a day of sightseeing. We recommend this hotel to anyone. We will definitely come back

What a perfect hotel stay. Perfectly situated with gorgeous hilltop views, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, the breakfast fantastic and the staff delightful. A total relief from the tourist crush of the Italian cities.

Very beautiful location. Is situated în top of a mountain. From A1 you will reach in 10 minutes. Fresh air, everything was very clean, big bathroom, heat to warm you up and also the staff was very kind and very helpful. I trully recommend this hotel! P.S. : The Wi-Fi works perfect!
