La Celeste Galeria must be the be best hidden gem of a B& B in the best hidden city in Italy! Driving to La Celeste Galeria we wondered if had made a wise decision, with trucks on the roads and huge warehouses everywhere. Don’t be put off- Mantua is one of the largest goods distribution centres in the EU but La Celeste Galeria feels like a million miles from them. Once you hit the white gravel driveway with a glimpse of the pool you know you have arrived somewhere very nice. Veronica is a wonderful host and welcomed us, provided ample information about Mantua, how the best get into town (which is a very short drive, then park and take the free bus into the centre of Mantua). She gave us tips on where to park in Verona, as we were able to go to the opera in the roman arena and it is a short 30 minute drive. Veronica also had great stories about the Gonzagas adding colour to our sightseeing. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable with big windows overlooking the garden and pool. The house is decorated in a warm and eclectic style throughout. Everything was wonderful. Breakfast was better than wonderful. Veronica’s breakfast catering is something to behold with ample food ranging from yogurt, fruit and granola to savory filled bread and croissants, to all sorts of Moorish sweet Italian breakfast treats. Good coffee too. The pool and garden was perfect for a post sightseeing collapse. We loved everything about Le Celeste Galeria, Mantua and Veronica and we will return to see more of the wonderful history in Mantua and enjoy a longer break at this fabulous B&B. Mantua is an undiscovered gem, not overcrowded and exceeded our expectations.

I was in Mantova 6 years ago on business (for just one night) and always promised my wife I would take her there to show her the incredible architecture, history and life of this hidden Italian gem. I specifically wanted a property where we had no issues parking the hire car. So when we saw La Celeste Galeria and the brilliant reviews there was no other place we wanted to go. Unbelievable attention to detail by Veronica. Fantastic breakfast. Superb recommendations for things to do. And a pool to cool off in after the sightseeing was done. Saw Mantova, Verona, Like Garda, Ferrari museum and test track, plus the had a go on the Ferrari F1 simulators around Spa. All within 30 -60 minutes of the property. My wife and daughter loved the property also, and we shall recall the things we did there for years to come. Thanks Veronica.

We have had a wonderful stay at La Celeste Galeria, where Veronica is a perfect hostess. Her home and garden are absolutely beautiful and lovingly cared for - and the swimming pool is a delight. Nothing was too much trouble for Veronica, who was always available to answer questions and provide practical information about the area, and help in all sorts of small ways. Her genuine welcome, warmth and friendliness towards my daughter and me helped to make both of us feel so well looked after, and very much enhanced our short stay. We shall hope to return!

Veronica is the perfect host in this small and comfortable, beautiful Italian ‘casa’. She can tell you everything about Mantova and environment. Everyday she makes a very tasteful breakfast with delicious Italian specialities. We loved it. After a warm day in the city the pool is a good refreshment. The climate in the house it very comfortable and adjustable at your wish. We will come again!

Very clean comfortable room. Breakfast is fun and as the hostess is so kind and very into providing a fresh experience.

Unfortunately it is located in an Industrial area next to the Motorway, and only because of that we would not return.
