The family room was perfect, with a clear space for our kids and a lovely space for us with walk in wardrobe. The beach is great, not crowded at all and the beach restaurant was amazing, the staff there were super friendly and accommodating, with some nice vegan options in addition. We also met some really friendly families there so our kids had friends to play with. The atmosphere is exclusive but not snooty, just perfect. Families are made very welcome. We can't wait to come back.

The only downside was that it was difficult to dry our swim clothes but that's mainly due to the humid weather.

It's a few years since I stayed in an Italian Hotel. On arrival, there's an initial sense of concern due to the overall outdated appearance of the hotel and it's rooms. But, very quickly, you realise that the success and joy of this hotel is based on a traditional and impeccable service, great food and a fantastic location. They get everything right. I cannot remember a more happy hotel.

The hotel location is absolutely beautiful. The room was nice and big with really good AC. Also the room turn down service in the evening is a really nice touch. The staff are all exceptional and very friendly. Highly recommend this hotel and we will hopefully return someday soon. We where in different parts of Italy for almost 3 weeks and this hotel was by far the best one we stayed in.

It is an absolutely great place, beautifully located, with a private beach. You get your own beds and umbrella on the beach for the whole stay, which is very convenient. It is very close to a few nice points of the island, such as Marina di Campo or ferry port. We would like to highlight the hotel restaurant is exquisite. We ate seafood every day and it was super fresh.

The price could be by 20 percent lower and then there would be no flaws at all. 🙂

Beautiful location, amazing facilities, stunning dining room with huge picture windows, excellent food, lovely personnel.

Our room was a long, long way from the main building and having paid for a sea view what we actually had was a view of the tennis courts and the delivery area of the beach bar with a glimpse of the sea beyond.

We loved staying at Hotel Del Golfo it was exactly what we needed, no crowds, relaxing, amazing view from our room, we had a crazy 3 weeks travelling Italy & to arrive here was amazing. We had to leave on an early ferry & would have missed breakfast, the friendly staff had organised us a Taxi & breakfast bag on departure, there was so much amazing food it last us our entire journey the next day. Thank you Hotel Del Golfo for your hospitality….

This hotel was exceptional from the moment we arrived. The staff went above and beyond- everyone- from the front desk reception to the lifeguards to the wait staff. The beach was absolutely beautiful. We can't wait to come back.

I can't think of any that we didn't like. The photos don't do it justice but maybe that's a way of keeping it a slightly hidden gem.

The staff in the office, at the beach, in the restaurant on the beach and the breakfast restaurant were exceptional. The room was a bit tired, bathroom fittings outdated but since that was not our focus, it was great. The location was lovely. The beach excellent. Good undercover parking.

Location fantastic overlooking the beach, breakfast excellent, they had everything, staff friendly and helpful. Although it is expensive it is worth the price.

The pavement around the swimming pool could have been filled in the cracks. It was quite painful to walk on in places.

Location, facilities, service, beach and sea quality: all exceptional. Procchio is the place to be for the families, close to the best parts of the island and center Portoferraio. Hotel del Golfo, simply the best option on Elba.
