The location is very good, close to cafes, restaurants and shopping in a nice area. Metro is just outside the building to get to the old town. The hotel is at the fifth floor of an old building but the rooms are modern with all the facilities. My room and the bathroom were very clean. The bed was comfortable, the wifi and air conditioning worked perfectly. Breakfast was also very good. My room was not very good sound proof and lighting could be better. The staff were polite, friendly and very welcoming. Stay again if next time in the city and highly recommended.

I am a regular at the hotel Cimarosa. Staying here is a quintessentially Neapolitan experience, which I recommend to everyone interested in living the city as one would have in the first decades of the XX century. The building, with its retro marble stairs, quaint elevator, and doorman who could be an extra in a Neapolitan comedy; the location, next to two iconic Funicolare stations that take you straight into the heart of the ancient city and the elegant Chiaja neighborhood; and the hospitality of the staff and modern design of the rooms. The Hotel Cimarosa is not the Vesuvio or the Excelsior, two wonderful hotels I go to when I feel rich, but is an ideal choice for those of us who privilege real life over luxury.

I have only one negative comment: plumbing is defective in a few of the rooms and I encourage the management to make sure is fixed to prevent funky odors to seep up...

Staff very friendly and helpful, room was clean and spacious, breakfast was decent if you are looking for a bit of everything. Great low key area, close to.metro line and just next to funicular that takes you in.les than10.minutes directly to the lower parts of the city where all the action is if that is what you fancy.

Its not really an issue but the towel change happens every 2 days but i asked for an new one sonce mine was still wet and the conscierge gave me an other one with a smile and zero fuss. Again very friendly and helpful.

Great location in the pleasant Vimoro district. Although not in the centre of Naples, you are literally 2 minutes walk from Metro Line 1 and two funiculars which will get you everywhere you're likely to want to go within about 10 minutes. Although in a period residential building (on the top floor), once inside it feels like a modern boutique hotel with lovely well appointed large rooms. Mine had a nice little balcony facing the rear of the building. A fairly extensive continental breakfast included which was of a high quality.

Hotel is on the 5th floor of what is otherwise a residential building, with a very tiny old-fashioned 100 (?) year old lift - but it worked well while I was there, so this is only a minor criticism.

This is an excellent location in the Vomero area. It is close to the metro and the funiculaire and a taxi rank. Getting into the centre is easy and quick. Around the hotel there are lots of nice places to eat and plenty of good shops. The staff are all very friendly, efficient and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious, there is plenty of choice at breakfast. The whole place has a really nice happy relaxed vibe.

It is a minor point, but the entrance to the hotel is not very well marked. The hotel is located on the fifth floor of an old building (with a perfectly good lift). There is an intercom entrance for the building with a small hotel sign beside the intercom. It took us a while to find it on arrival, even though we had been told where it was.

This hotel is in a fantastic location, with superb access to funicular and metro. There are plenty shops, cafes and bars close by as well as a good supermarket. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was useful to have a basic breakfast available. The local area felt very safe.

The hotel is on the 5th floor of a building with a teeny lift which relies on a gate to be shut in order to operate. We only were forced to walk up one time but from what the staff said, there are regular issues with people not closing the gate. I think this could be easily remedied with better signage or an internal phone line at the top and bottom.

The location is excellent. The metro station is very close by which allows you to get around the city very easily. The hotel itself is within the same building as the funicular station too if you want to use that also. You have Castle St Elmo nearby which offers the best view of the city, and many great bars and restaurants in a very safe area of the city. The room itself was also very quiet, a good sanctuary from the chaos of Naples you can experience during the day.

The breakfast was pretty meh, it was the typical stuff you get in an Italian hotel, but the selection was limited and some of the food seemed very old. Coffee machine didn't appear to be working on the day. This is ok as there are many cafes nearby, and if you just want something quick here then the pastries are fine.

Well designed room with great shower and jacuzzi bath. Large comfy bed with lovely view across the bay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nice part of the city but expensive to get to if using taxis. Metro access is good.

Hadn't realised that the hotel is on the fifth floor of the building with a small lift for access or a long climb up the stairs. Traffic in city makes taxi journeys long and pricey

Quieter nicer location compared to the historic centre which we personally found a bit hectic. Room size was good, staff helpful in arranging our early morning taxi. Very short walks to public transport hub which was great.

One little thing: nowhere to hang wet towels! We experienced a bit of noise from the street but it didn’t last past midnight.

I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Cimarosa! The rooms were modern and super clean, which I loved. The staff was really responsive and went out of their way to help with anything I needed. The original elevator from the older building added such a cool charm to the place—definitely a fun part of the Italian experience! Manuele was amazing, always friendly, responsive and helpful, making my stay even better. I would stay again.
