Staff really courteous and helpful, especially Lucia. The owner Mario was also very friendly. We really felt at home. Bed was very comfortable and breakfast was good, especially the croissants fresh from the baker.

La Fontanella is located in Noto Alto just 12 minute walk from centre. A good part of the way to the centre is made up of a steep stairway which did not help my injured knee. If my knee didn't hurt, location is good.

The room was very spacious, comfortable, and well taken care of. The breakfast was quite nice, and they accomodated my dietary needs (gluten free b/c Celiac disease) graciously. I liked that the hotel's location is away from the crowded part of town and made for a nice walk to and from the places I visited.

I had a lovely spacious room in this comfortable hotel. I really appreciated the personal service with the chance to leave my luggage during the day and the lovely fresh croissants for breakfast.

It's a bit of a walk to the town centre (max. 15 minutes) but that also made the location nice and quiet.

I booked room in the hotel because there were no seats on the last bus to Catania and I stayed overnight in town. I had some troubles with WiFi in my phone and the owner was so kind and send the car to pick up me. Great service and humanity. A delicious breakfast was also served, but I didn't have time to try it, I was leaving early.

Excellent accommodation, reception until 9pm and a good classic Italian breakfast. The feeling was very homely. We had a large room at the top of the hotel with a terrace. City center reachable on foot about 7-8 min. We stayed only for 1 night.

It was very close to the city centre. The host was very welcoming. She waited for our arrival as we checked in past normal check-in hours. She was very kind and explained where everything in about the town was. Breakfast was lovely, especially the ricotta croissants. Lovely stay and do recommend.

Everything. The rooms were clean, the host was incredibly kind. The breakfast was amazing!

It can be quite noisy with guests coming in later when you're asleep/trying to fall asleep.

Person who had to do our check in left at 21:00 leaving us stranded knocking on the door outside. He did not even bother to give us a call to check if we were ok. Unfortunately the ferry delayed by 20 minutes and arrived on location at 21:15. Tried calling several times on the number showing on their hotel information listed on booking.com but had no reply. Started knocking on the windows and a guest opened for us. The guest managed to contact a person on a different number to ask if he could give us the room key and he did. A water pump is situated just next to room 12 and whenever someone use the water it start making a lot of noise.

It is like small family hotel, different, antique decorated. Ladies at breakfast do they best that you feal welcome and plesant, very nice.
