We stayed in a deluxe room (got upgraded) and it was a large & spacious room. The beds were super comfortable and you had a choice of soft and harder pillow in the room, which I thought was a great. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and had a good selection. Staff are very friendly. Great location, 2 mins walk from Pompei station and about a 15 min walk from the Anfiteatro Entry to Pompei. Lots of good restaurants close by.

While we really appreciated the upgrade to a deluxe room (with a balcony, level 1), it was on the side of a main road. So we could't have the window open as it was too noisy. TIP: if you book a deluxe room, perhaps request a quiet room which would be on the quiet side.

We had a very comfortable room with a queen size and a twin bed. The rain shower had great pressure and lots of hot water. Air conditioning was excellent as well as WiFi and tv. The staff was very helpful and happily answered any questions we had about how to get around in Pompeii and good restaurants. There was a lovely little garden where we winded down our days with a cocktail prepared in the bar. Breakfast was more than adequate and the bonus was that it was 2 blocks from the train station station and a 15 minute walk from the entrance to the archeological site of Pompeii

Very clean and updated. Bathroom had a rain shower head and soaps, shampoos. Beds were comfortable. The room had a private terrace available for each room. The rooms were set back in a courtyard so you couldn’t hear any street noise. The staff was very polite and helpful, even kept our luggage while we explored the ruins after checkout. Location was 1 block from the bus station, close to restaurants and within walking distance of a church and the ruins. Breakfast had a good selection of food and was included. I would have loved to stay more than 1 night here. This would be the hotel I would book if I ever came back to Pompei.

Fantastic location. We arrived at the Pompeii station on the Trenitalia line from Naples not the Citcumvesuvia line that stops at the Pompei Scavi station.You cross the roundabout outside the station and the hotel is on the first street on the left. Staff were brilliant. Our room was ready when we arrived at 11 am. Room was big and bright and in the annex building across the garden. There were lots of restaurants on the Via Sacra beside the hotel. It was about a 15 minute walk to the anfiteatro entrance to the Pompeii ruins. It was very hot when we were there so we went to their other hotel Bosco de Medici. This has a pool and gardens and a vineyard. It was very relaxing and 10 euro each for a half day. We got a taxi there, it’s a little over 2km but too hot to walk when we visited. In the hotel Diana the bed was very comfortable and breakfast was lovely.

The location is excellent, the room was really comfortable, great shower. Parking is easy and safe, close to restaurants, Pompei ruins and the main square, we lived our stay here and highly recommend. Also the Staff were incredibly helpful and kind. Especially I want to thank Claudia who helped me solve a problem with a Ticket we had received for a toll, she spent at least a half an hour helping me and she really did not have to, but was kind and caring and I will never forget her generosity of spirit, it is people like Claudia that make the world a better place. We will absolutely book again in our next trip,

Nothing it’s perfect

The staff were lovely, very helpful and spoke very good english. The hotel was very nice with a lovely garden and terrace. The location was perfect for accessing the ruins, and local bars and restaurants - everything within easy walking distance, and only a stones throw from the train station.

The only criticism would be the noise within the bedroom. It was as if guests in adjoining rooms were in the bedroom with us - paper thin walls and hard tiled floors resulted in us hearing every conversation and movement from others which did affect our ability to sleep, so ear plugs are recommended. This was a real shame as otherwise it would have been perfect (we were on 2nd floor of the new part) so we would stay again but take earplugs with us to overcome this flaw

We love this Hotel. We have stayed here before. The location suits us for both the closeness to the station and the centre of Pompei. Breakfast is always fresh and they are so good at accommodating our quirky need for tea. The staff provided us with a kettle for the room. One of our favourite pleasures is to sit under the orange and lemon trees (helmets are not provided lol) a sip a cool drink. The staff are so friendly and make a lot of effort to engage with their guests. Thank you all.

Excellent location - everything was within walking distance (restaurants, shops, train station, Pompeii Ruins, etc.). The hotel itself was lovely. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive with any requests we had (booking airport transfers and a trip to Mount Vesuvius). There are many options for breakfast and a small bar at reception for drinks during the day. We will definitely be returning!

When I tell you how amazing this hotel location and staff were, I am not exaggerating! I did a solo backpacking trip from Italy to London. I am not paid by the hotel nor booking.com, I am just giving an honest review. The front desk employee named Claudia went above and beyond to help me get from Pompeii to London. She 100% deserves a raise on how helpful she was in helping me to get to where I needed to go. She was so kind and patient with me, she looked at so many options to get to London, looking up trains, flights, and busses for me. Calculated the times to ensure everything lined up. Found me the cheapest way to get to London and sent me on my way. Maybe the rooms are a little old fashioned, but they were very clean and the hotel itself was very nice. I would 100% stay here again and will highly recommend this hotel to all my friends, family, and strangers who are heading to Pompeii! Thank you so much Claudia! You truly made this trip and experience great!

Everything about Hotel Diana was fabulous: super clean, courteous and helpful staff, bedrooms a good size with very comfy beds and bedding, excellently situated for getting to the Pompeii sites as well as restaurants in the evening. Not planning to go to Pompeii again in the near future, but if / when I do, I will certainly stay at the Diana again.
