Santo Stefano is a beautiful, small hotel. The rooms are simple and very clean. The views are amazing...especially from the patios--one of which is an outdoor lounge area and another where they serve breakfast/dinner. You can see mountains and sea all from the same spot. The hotel also provides a lovely breakfast buffet that is included.

The road to access Santo Stefano is not well paved. We were traveling by motorcycle and the road was a bit if a challenge.

This is a gorgeous family hotel, with rooms located in different small buildings, on a hill overlooking the bay over Portoferraio: the views are stunning, especially at sunset, and you can hear the birds sing. There is a restaurant on site serving dinner, if you wish and a very good hand-made breakfast. Our room's fittings and decoration were not of the latest style, but all is clean and in good condition, so that was not a problem at all because it was spacious and functional, with a small patio in the front and the overall hotel experience is just great. Car indispensable. Dog friendly. I have already decided that it will be the place I stay again when I'm next on Elba.

Very helpful staff, as our ferry was cancelled they let us check in straight away, the room was clean and the views are amazing, the breakfast was fantastic.

Sublime atmosphere, tucked away in the hills, lovely staff, clean, comfortable accommodation, amazing views, good location. Would highly recommend and cannot wait to come back.

Very good value for money, nice restaurant at the property and very good breakfast included.

Remote location, the pillows were too thin/soft.

We sat out on the terrace overlooking the sea and had breakfast and supper. The view is spectacular. The setting idyllic. Food delicious. We had a lovely walk down to the sea, took twenty minutes if that and found a good cafe/restaurant. Then also a little walk around the hotel. Beautiful countryside. Very generous and welcoming host. Will go back.
