This was our second time staying at Hotel Polo. The staff is friendly and always smiling and welcoming - including here the cleaning crew and the ladies working the breakfast area, not only the reception staff. The breakfast is good, varied, with a loooot of dessert options :) (they change every day). The best part about the breakfast is that it lasts until 12 PM, which allows you to go to the beach in the morning, when the UV is moderate. The room is clean and big enough. The hotel is located close to the beach and around many restaurants. They have a partnership with beach no 20, which has all the facilities you would need.

Even though the breakfast lasts until 12, there were days when they would stop refilling food before 11. Also, at around 10.30, they close a big part of the breakfast area, leaving only 4 tables available. 99% of the times it was fine, but we did experience not having where to seat, as all 4 tables were occupied by other guests.

Good location and breakfast was amazing for choice. We had our dog with us and she was well cared for. Room was comfortable and quiet

We arrived and drove around for 10 minutes trying to find the parking. The wife went in to ask however the receptionist was to busy to advise and as we were stopped in the middle of the road she couldn’t hang around. I parked up and spoke to the receptionist, turns out the car park is shared with the hotel next door. Would have been useful to tell that on the website/booking or separate cover email could have avoided us driving around in 34 degrees after a 7 hour drive.

The hotel is very well located, with lots of restaurants nearby and close to the beach. They work with beach 20, which has a lot of activities and is well organized. The staff is friendly. The room is very clean and the housekeeping does a great job with every day cleaning. The bathroom is big and it has a window, which helps a lot with the humidity. The breakfast is good with lots of delicious dessert choices.

The furniture could use an upgrade. For the meat lovers, the salami selection could be wider at breakfast.

The foyer and public areas have a good ambience. Our twin room was spacious and clean with good amenities. The breakfast was really good with a fantastic range of fresh and tasty options to suit most tastes. The hotel is a short walk to the beach and close to many bars, cafes, restaurants and shops. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is fantastic value for money.

The pillow on my bed was a bit lumpy. It would have been great to have tea making facilities.

Polo – pretty much as advertised. Clean. Bathroom was sufficient. Bed was comfortable. Room furnishings were a bit worn, but all functional. OK for one night in a single room. But if more than one night, not sure I’d like it as the room was small enough that as I had to open my suitcase in the bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and extensive; I liked the extended hours (7-12). My room had a small balcony; not sure every room does. Beach/sea walk across the street. Historic center about a 15 minute walk. Unmetered taxi from train station was 15 Euros and metered taxi (the hotel has to call for off season as there are not taxis just out driving around) was 11 Euros.

Not a big deal, but one must ask the front desk agent to turn on the HVAC in the room, although once on, there is a thermostat in the room. An instruction label on the thermostat, i.e. ask at the front desk, would be useful (or at least a mention at check-in). Maybe it was just a cultural barrier, as I was wandering around the lobby area, the front desk agent rather curtly asked ‘what are you looking for?’. ‘I am just exploring.’ No future interaction, but he did seem irritated that I was just looking around. These items did not take away from my review.

Good location between the sea and historical city center. Very friendly staff, ready to assist any time asked. Nice room and very good breakfast. A perfect stay for two. We deliberately chose a time outside of the bathing season and it was a good choise.

Great location, the breakfast buffet is absolutely delicious, and the overall atmosphere reflects a team truly committed to delivering the best guest experience. Highly recommended!

If i have to find a flaw, our room was a bit old, but considering the price still a good value for money!

Great location and amazing breakfast. The room carpet was very clean.

Room wasn't very sound proof and shower doors didn't work well when we arrived. The room fridge couldn't keep beverages or food cool (even when set to the highest level) and the front desk didn't really help much about it (they sent a guy, but the guy didn't do anything to improve the situation).

I liked the location and people at reception gave me best room that was on front when i requested. Before it was back. So they cooperated well and breakfast was huge selection mainly cakes pastries. A great experience

Single room too small to open a suitcase so felt that pain. Terrace size was good and bathroom was big. They missed on room size

Great customer service, there was an issue with my room that was out of their control when I checked in so they upgraded me to another room that was amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure my accommodations were great!

The weather was a little overcast, but they could not fix that. :)
