It was a lovely family run hotel literally two minutes from the train station. Very comfortable beds & there was air con & a TV. The bathroom was excellent. It was new, clean & perfectly kitted out. Lorenzo, the hotel manager, had excellent English & he pointed us in the direction of a good local restaurant serving local produce. He also gave us a little map showing us the local tourist spots. The hotel had a lovely front garden where we had breakfast. The croissants were delicious- so good I had to go back for a second!

I personally find this hotel very charming. In Italian "Liberty" style (what is called Art Nouveau/Jugendstil/Modernismo in the rest of Europe) the hotel has indeed kept its architectural features and although some people might think it would need some renovation I think it's perfect the way it is. So nice to spot old heaters with incorporated bread oven or the small food elevator in the breakfast room :). Both the lady and the guy who run the hotel are extremely kind and welcoming. Room was spot-clean and although weather had started to be quite warm outside I could enjoy a cool room. I booked a single room with a single bed and the bidet was incorporated in the wc, which was very practical. I usually have sweet breakfast and was able to find everything I like, especially whole grain baguette. Very fresh, bought every morning from a bakery for sure :). Location is perfect. You can reach everything on foot from there.

This are not cons but suggestions: Keep in mind that the bathroom of the single room is extremely small, so if you are a "big" person you probably find more suitable a double room but with single use...The person who travelled with me went for a double room and both bathroom and shower are bigger. The hotel is located at a roundabout in the city center, so if you are a light sleeper you'd better bring earplugs. Mattresses are confortable but in my opinion pillows are too thin for people who sleep on a side. You might want to ask a second pillow or a more thick one.

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Liberty for one night. We needed a comfy bed and breakfast. The bedroom was basic, but comfortable and the bathroom was lovely and brand new. It was a great value for the money. It is run by a family and it shows. Rocco and his son were friendly and helpful at the breakfast which was included and also with places to visit and restaurant suggestions. They held our luggage for us, and we ate lunch in the garden before catching our train. Spare - but comfortable, great value.

A little difficult to find, though on a main road just down from train station the sign is up several stairs above street level. We walked by it a couple of times.I

The hotel owner was incredibly welcoming and we had a good conversation about the most notable places in Sanremo to visit, as well as some good restaurants for dinner. He recommended A Cuvea, a short five minute walk from the hotel which was a fine place for dinner. Breakfast is included and was typical Italian breakfast, so very enjoyable. The location of the hotel is perfect, Sanremo is not a particularly big place but everywhere is walkable from the hotel, especially the train station which is around five minutes walk away. Overall a fantastic stay.

The walls are thin and you can hear some traffic during the night and morning. Something to consider if you are a light sleeper, but it didn't bother me.

A charming, if somewhat old style place. The receptionist and owner(I guess)were friendly and helpful, recommending a place to eat which provided us with one of the best meals of our stay in Italy. A little distant from the sights(still very walkable) but so close to the station that one had to walk further in the station than one did to reach it!!!(That says more about the subterranean station than anything else). The breakfast outside on the terrace under the spreading branches of a grand tree was a delight.

No lift and, albeit minimal, traffic noise if you fancy a lie in.

This property is a few mins walk from the train station which is great and very close to walk to Center Nice and quiet It’s a family run business and the genuine warm welcome makes a difference , the personal touch is there and that goes a very long way The bedroom a small single was lovely and warm and bathroom was modern the bedlinen lovely everything just right. The continental breakfast was perfect I will return in the summer

Great place to stay in Sanremo. The hotel is right next to the train station, which makes it an ideal place to stay. Room was comfortable and had everything I needed for a single night's stay. The breakfast in the morning was really good, with lots of different options to choose from.

The only issue was that the walls were quite thin and I could hear the man in the room near me coughing. But there's not much that can be done about that and earplugs meant I slept perfectly :)

If you are used to shiny luxury and shrimp cocktail for breakfast of international hotel chains, do not bother. If you prefer tasty coffee and croissants (breakfast not limited just to those), friendly staff, romance of old buildings and genius loci in general, hotel Liberty is the place for you!

Staff, breakfast and location were great. Great base from which to rent bikes and cycling up the coast. Exploring the old town was amazing, great training for our later trip to the Dolomites.

Shame about the public beach in town - very small and not well located. Hard to understand as an Australian.

Great location - very close to the train station and the old town. Lovely breakfast with coffee made fresh for you when you arrive for the breakfast. Really welcoming and lovely staff! Couldn’t recommend enough !
