The parking was easy unlike in the city. They charge for the private parking but if you don’t arrive late you can park in front of the hotel for free Hotel was good overall, staff is very friendly and welcoming. We missed breakfast and the front desk lady offered us coffee still Towels are clean, beds are comfortable, and shower pressure is great.

Air conditioning was ok. It worked but it felt like it wasn’t cleaned a while and it could have given more cold. We liked all other things at the hotel

The staff were amicable and welcoming. The room was modern and clean and had a spacious terrace. It was well-equipped and the bathroom had good water pressure. Breakfast was excellent.

The only annoying thing was that the hotel had a large uncovered parking area with uneven ground at the back. To park there costs 10 Euros per night. Considering the amount of space and the facilities, or lack thereof, parking there should be made complimentary for hotel guests.

The staff were absolutely amazing, every one of them!! 10+++!! I’m traveling alone, so this is super important to me!! They were caring, kind, warm, helpful, supportive, engaging, and informative with recommendations of places to eat, and see. All recommendations ~ Fabulous! The staff exuded hospitality! The morning I was departing to walk to the bus, the owner came in and offered me a ride. How gracious! This is how I find Sicilians ~ Wonderful people!!! The hotel: lovely room, comfortable bed, great linens, hot shower, excellent breakfast!, wonderful coffee!!, great location by the sea. Great value!! I loved it, and will return! My highest recommendations to the Melqart!! 🫠

There is a vacant older building across the street from the front of the hotel. Some may find this less than desirable. ** I did not! Someday that building may be refurbished, as many are in Sicily. The Italians are so resourceful in restoring the old into something viable. That is my hope for the building, so it holds some charm and possibility.

Good breakfast, modern facilities, near the port. I appreciated the parking, and the bed was comfortable. Giuseppe provided wonderful hospitality and the staff was amazing!

The private car park is nothing but a large, open piece of land with gravel at the back of the hotel, though accessible directly from the hotel. We were charged a discounted price of €10 to park the motorcycle, and no other vehicles were parked there.

It was great to have either free parking at front of hotel or in a parking lot at the rear for a cost of 5 Euros per night. The staff were all very helpful and the desk staff had good english. The breakfast room was just perfect with a good selection for breakfast. Room was large with a King + sized bed and very comfy. Hotel was very clean throughout.

Would have liked to have had tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Super friendly staff. Very clean and well styled room. High season made the price a little higher than I would like to pay for a 3 star hotel, however- it was still reasonable for the time of season.

If you’re traveling without a car do not stay here! The stairs or walk to the city are daunting! There is no view as there is a ruins across the street blocking any view of the port

The windows needed screens for the mosquitoes. A kettle for tea/coffee would be great to have in the room. Otherwise, a very comfortable stay.
