The location was great. Very central. The receptionist was very helpful; showed us how to get to the free parking nearby and recommended some restaurants for dinner. We had a great view from our bedroom window and we enjoyed relaxing and catching the view of the valley, with a drink on the terrace on the main floor. We had left our window open for cooling off the room and discovered mosquitoes buzzing around us in the night. Not a great sleep!

The breakfast was a bit skimpy. The fruit was pretty much gone and the cheese and meat was pretty well picked over when we went down at 8:45.

Everything was great! Check-in staff person extra helpful to us, getting us situated in our room and carrying bags. Location next to Basilica di Sant'Appolinaire and easy walk to Museo della Città is great. We were so tired from driving so went downstairs to eat and had "the best pizza of the trip" according to my food snob husband. Quiet and relaxing. Returned after a day in Ravenna to an immaculately cleaned room.

The location was ideal. Spello is stunning. My room was spacious, very comfortable and quiet. The view from my window was incredible! (See the photo!) The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet had something for everyone.

Loved the property but the rooms are upstairs and there is no elevator. There was no one who could help carry any bags. This was not an issue for me or my friend, but it could be for someone with mobility issues. This is not specific to the hotel, but a related issue. We arrived by train later in the afternoon, and the station was closed down. There is no hotel shuttle and Spello’s one taxi was otherwise engaged, so we ended up walking to the hotel, which is up a steep hill. This wasn’t a problem for us, but someone with mobility or respiratory issues should be aware and prepared.

What a lovely place to stay near! Such a nice welcome from Giada. My room had a view right across the valley to the hills and I woke in the morning to hear the birds singing outside my window. Breakfast was fine. In the summer it is taken on the terrace. Lots of information available about the pretty town of Spello. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Very nice rooms and public spaces, especially the terrace setting overlooking the valley. Staff were exceptional, friendly, helpful and remembered guests names and preferences; for example i only had to ask for my preferred coffee type, once! Excellent 😁

It’s a good location, nice street but just a little way from the central hub, although the view over the valley is worth it. Also about 20 min walk from station … near the top of the hill 😏 The breakfast had lovely pastries & fruit, with some savoury, but not many healthy options, and nothing hot/cooked. Nice but simple.

It's exactly how the photo appear on Booking.co. I can't being to tell you how incredibly beautiful this place is. I'm a mature women travelling solo. The Cruciani Family have owned and managed this property for over 50yrs. Papa fixed my changer, as these rooms are older then today's apps. The staff are family , so every detail must be perfect , this is they business. From the moment I arrived , I knew I was safe . My only regret is that I wasted time and money in Roma & Florence . Spello, is the gateway to the Tuscan region, and Spello is the growing belt for 🫒 olives . These people are truly proud of their region, there is NO fast fashion or souvenirs rubbish in spello , Expect to pay for beautifully hand made product's. Everytime you pass a deli / restaurant, the aroma of fresh turfles greets you . I will return to Spello , and stay at Albergo il Cacciatore ! would love to do a different season . I really want to thank the family and staff for this wonderful experience 🙏 ❤️ Caio till next time

A wonderful location with a brilliant welcome when we arrived. Parking near the hotel is a problem but we were given clear directions to free parking which was nearby.

Our room was great in many respects but only one plug socket near the bed made charging electrical items difficult. A minor point really.

We loved this location in town with a terrace overlooking the valley and easy walking within this stunningly beautiful little town. We had two adjoining rooms all very comfortable. They allowed us early check in and staff were very hospitable. Very nice breakfast buffet that was very appreciated.

The property owners/manager are very friendly and exceptionally helpful in planning restaurants, local sceneries and events! Provided breakfast was very good.

Unfortunately no parking at the property, but helpful guide to free public parking.

Beautiful location right on the edge of lovely Spello with marvellous views, but really it’s very very central in terms of wandering the historic centre. The pictures of the lovely breakfast deck are absolutely true. A delightfully cool spot to relax in the afternoon too. Staff were wonderful; everything very clean; breakfast was fantastic. We wished we were staying more than 2 nights. Parking is a few minutes away (and an uphill climb back to the hotel) unless you’re lucky enough to get a spot in their garage.
