Such a lovely place. Stuff in the reception is very kind and helpful. The environment is wonderful. It’s like a little secret paradise.

I stayed for 5 days and noticed some inconsistency in the breakfast service. On some mornings I was served only a cucumber, tomato, and cheese plate, and scrambled eggs were provided only once, while I saw other guests received them daily. I also observed that a staff member brought breakfast to another guest who arrived later than me, but never offered the same courtesy to me. I believe service should be fair and equal for all guests, and I hope this can be improved.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent. Location is up on a hill, in a silent and green area. It is close to the city center, you can walk down to the Harbour on the very charming V.le Venti Settembre (a street full of restaurants gelaterias and cinemas) in 20 minutes - although last part back to the Villa is quite steep so it is hard when you already tired.. :) Also there are two buses stopping nearby any you can use #6 straight to Miramare Castello

I had a conference at the University of Trieste so I booked two nights at the Villa because it was so close to the UoTrieste. But then I found out the conference was being held in a UoT property downtown Trieste so I found a place downtown also with parking at half the price. But the Villa refused to allow me to cancel ( without paying the full charge) when my problem was explained. So I cancelled the other place downtown and stayed at the Villa. It was quite full so I don't know why they were not more understanding. People should be very careful that their plans may change but the Villa still charges the full amount. Read the "fine print" carefully.

A green ,quiet( with lovely sounds of Peacocks) oasis with rose gardens nearby. Apartment A7 had an exclusive balcony overlooking the garden pool. High quality fittings, linen and towels. Room cleaned daily. We cook our own breakfasts and kitchen was fine. Easy walk to the no.6 bus into town near enough to the port but in a non tourist district. Nice staff. Loved it!

An unnecessary tiny charge of €1 to use the coffee provided in the apartment. The kitchen could have easily had basics like salt, sugar oil.

It was great to have the sauna and jacuzzi area all to ourselves. They were good quality, clean and a great way to relax.

It was worth the trade-off for such a lovely place (especially with sauna and jacuzzi ) to be a little further out from the center. No harm in needing to walk for half an hour to get to the harbour. Although if I am forced to give a negative it would be the location.

My stay at Villa Bottacin was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the hostess made us feel incredibly welcome with her unmatched warmth and attentiveness. She was, without a doubt, the most helpful and friendly host we have ever encountered. The villa itself exceeded all our expectations. The property was impeccably clean, offering a level of privacy and tranquility that made our stay utterly relaxing. Every aspect of the villa contributed to a peaceful retreat, allowing us to unwind and fully enjoy our time in Italy. Overall, Villa Bottacin provided an unforgettable experience, combining outstanding hospitality with serene comfort. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a perfect getaway.

Very nice historical villa/small castle surrounded by gardens. Rooms are very spacious and clean. Receptionist is very kind and helpful.

It is quite a challenge to get to the property by car, the streets are one-way and super-narrow, the entrance to the property is also super-narrow, so don't even try it if you have something bigger than Renault Clio, we barely made it :)

As previous posters have stated the road ( really a very very narrow lane way ) up to the villa is extremely narrow and only suitable for a small car . Best to leave the car in the public park ( parco de san giovanni ) just above the villa and walk through the pathway to the villa.

We loved the size of our little apartment/studio, and wished we could have enjoyed the balcony access (sadly it rained the entire time there). It was large, well-appointed, and everything in the kitchen was stainless steel and in great condition. The staff, from booking to departure, were all wonderful. We enjoyed the wellness area too, though it wasn't cheap (80 euro for 2 hours). The sauna and steam rooms were great, but the jacuzzi pool was a bit cool for our taste. We also loved the private parking and secure gate access, and that the property was outside the main city--it was very quiet. Also, the a/c worked great, and we appreciated them being pet-friendly. We didn't try the pool, but it looked very clean and inviting. The walk wasn't hard back from Trieste, so if you are fit, don't worry--it was beautiful and fun.

As many have noted, you need to be a confident driver to access the property as the road is very narrow and cobblestoned, and I don't recommend that big SUVs try--I would park in the University area above the property and just walk in a bit. They did a great job marking the roads to get there though.

Rooms are clean, staff is good and parking inside the Villa is good ,but there is tiny space between the wall and the gate, so keep an eye once you are arriving into the property from the street. I am not sure if there is no heating in the rooms, but I felt there was no heating since I visited the villa in November when it was a little bit cold outside. Maybe I am wrong about the heating in the room 🤔. There is a very good domestic breakfast. I recommend this place if you are visiting Trieste.
