After traveling the whole of Sicily over two weeks, my wife and I finished off our stay in the quiet town of Zafferana Etna near Catania, and easy access to the airport. After the crowds and chaos of Taormina, Cefalu, Ortigia and Palermo, our stay at the Hotel Primavera was wonderfully calm. The location on the eastern slope of Etna gave us an amazing view of the Ionian Sea. The staff was wonderful and attended to our every need, even packing us to-go meals as we missed breakfast because of an early flight! And the hotel restaurant was a gem, with outstanding meals each night we dined. I highly recommend a stay at the Hotel Primavera Dell'Etna. Not only is it easy on the wallet (look for online booking deals!) but the views and food made the stay memorable. Goditi il tuo soggiorno!

Amazing location on the slopes of Etna. Rooms were spacious and clean with a balcony each. Parking is easy on site. Great evening meal in the restaurant served by friendly staff. Good continental breakfast with stunning view from the terrace. We will definitely stay here again.

Furniture in the rooms is outdated but we quite liked this as it gave the hotel character.

I stayed with my family for three days and was very satisfied with the hotel. The view and cleanliness were excellent. If you have private transportation, the location is also convenient.

However, the only issue I could point to as a problem was breakfast. For a hotel in Italy, a country renowned for its natural products, there were neither tomatoes nor olives at breakfast. I believe the only area they need to improve is their breakfast offering.

Breakfast is traditional Italien, lots of cakes! We're on bikes, so we like a hearty breakfast, and this included eggs, so we were fueled up. Room was spacey with a wonderfull view over the coastline and the fields below - and mostly: The front desk was very, very helpful, offered us space to park the bikes safely, helped with this and that, all with a smile. This hotel is highly recommendable!

Best location for exploring the volcano and its surrounding villages. Quick and friendly check-in, lovely dining experience, all while admiring the best views possible. Catania sprawling out under your feet in all its splendor. Free parking is available right outside the property, and rooms and facilities instill the feeling of a 4 star rather than a 3 star hotel. Highly recommended in all and every way.

We had a room with a view. In the morning it was so beautiful the sun coming up and the building shining like stars with the dew. The bed was big and comftable and the bathroom was spacious. We will be back for sure. The breakfast was very good and they have a terrace for summer

I choose this hotel as i was hiking mt etna and wanted to rest after that and also as i was driving. breakfast was ok with some pastries and boiled eggs,cheese and meat. view was brilliant from the room.staff was courteous and were on hand to answer all questions

Great place to stay for tours to etna volcano and visits to etna villages and vineyards. Great views from the balcony. Somewhat empty in low season. Still all services available, including full breakfast and dinner. Comfortable parking facilities.

The breakfast was light - and freshly prepared with cakes and pastries, cereals, bread, eggs, sliced meat and fruit - and the view at sunrise with incredible. Check in was swift and friendly. Louisa was particularly helpful and efficient.

The walk up the hill from the bus stop to the hotel with my backpack. A taxi can be arranged though I now know. :)

Convenient location for those traveling by car to the volcano. Plenty of parking spaces. Good view from the room. The breakfast was meager, but we didn't expect anything from it for the price. So it is not a disadvantage.
