I was concerned with this selection based on other reviews and almost cancelled for another property option which would have been much further away from this central location. However, I kept the initial booking, and was pleasantly surprised. It is only 1 block away from Hollywood Blvd and the heart of this area. The property is behind a controlled gate on a nice side street, so safety is not a problem. The accommodations are basic, to be honest, but if that is all you need - a safe and comfortable place to stay/sleep, then it meets the requirement. Concerns about homeless people, etc, wandering about - that seems to be an L.A. thing, unfortunately, but not enough to be a problem at this property. Food is readily available in the immediate vicinity, and the range of available options is amazing. The lack of A/C was definitely not the problem that I thought it could have been, and I even didn't need to use the in-room fan after the first day, as it was cool enough (late October) with the (screened) window kept open. I was also able to leave my bags stored after morning checkout, until my evening departure to the airport.

The bathroom had some water leakage on the floor, which was cleared up the following day when housekeeping came in. The cleanliness could be upped a bit - not that it was bad, but there were some hair strands in the sink when I entered.... meaning that cleaning had missed it. There was no microwave in the room, but one was available downstairs for use if needed.

Location. The hotel is very safe and the people are very cordial. We enjoyed our stay. It's not luxury hotel, but a good place to stay if you are looking to be in the walk of fame. Recommend for travellers.

Room doesn't have any coffee maker. Though they provide an electric kettle the moment we requested and we are very happy with the prompt response. Also AC in the room would be an good addition.

I think a worker went in my room when I had left. my covers were tucked back in as if the bed was made and something they fell on the floor ended up on the bed. didn’t realize it till later that night. nothing was missing as far as I’m concerned though.

It was a very good property in central location for Los Angeles city sight seeing, nearby Railway, bus, nice Hotels and reasonable price. Loved the Hospitality of Owner. Support for storing luggage after leaving hotel for few hours! Very nice. Appreciate all ! Loved this place.

I had an amazing stay! The room was clean and the TV was really big with full cable channels . The location could not be better. The staff went above and beyond and were really polite. Treat nice and you'll receive more in return

Very close to Hollywood Boulevard, so plenty of shops and eateries within waking distance. Secured parking (15$/day), clean room.

Some sketchy people can be seen around but that's normal nowadays, it was OK to walk as it's a busy area and car parking is secured.

The most amazing hotel stay in my life. Towards the end of my trip in Hollywood I booked at the Las Palmas Hotel. To my SURPRISE they gave me the FAMOUS "Pretty Woman" Movie Hotel Room (fire escape scene). I was literally sleeping in the room Julia Roberts stood in while filming the ending scene of the an iconic movie. The Hotel has a mural painted of the Pretty Woman scene in their lobby. I appreciate Peter and everyone at Las Palmas Hotel

I wish I could have stayed longer! The Hotel was gated, and protected with a monitored electronic entrance door. The location was quiet but foot-steps away from Hollywood Blvd. Hot showers and Safe environment. I will be back on my next trip tp to LA.

it was in a great location to where we needed to go and it’s a famous hotel from the movie Pretty Woman so it was cool.

It is very clean, well maintained and lovely as it once was used for Pretty Woman film location. There’s a even a wall painting at the lobby. The location is perfect just a block away from A walk of fame… all tourists attractions yet the motel itself is very calm and peaceful. There’s a nice cafe right across the street too. The check in time is a little earlier than other hotels. Staffs are accommodating and friendly. Definitely one of the best deals you can find in Hollywood.

Nothing. My hair dryer was not working but as soon as I told the front desk, a maintenance man brought me a new one. Everything is very well managed.

we tried to go to budget inn nothing but problems we called las palmas last minute literally last minute they gave us a room true to the price very helpful all gated will only stay here from now on!!
